Great presentation. I am pro AQA with experience in embedded + auto hobby fan, so let me share my personal IMHO. All words are right about system in development and just released with warranty. But what about aftermarket, independent services and auto criminals? Identifying malfunction became much complex, especially with old wires, additional equipment could be required and most probably out of the budget for small services, so such cars would have much higher service cost and shorter lifecycle. Also not very good from ecology. Car still can be stolen using trailer\hijack, then flash memory can be duplicated from clone, and finally ecu can be cracked and flashed. What we have in result, car which encrypt level of fuel and camera data 24x7, but can be easy stolen with retranslation\trailer\hijack... and can be serviced only with official services with specially educated(often not) personal, and small simple diagnostic on the home town is impossible. if you live 100km from closest dealer, and you have some water in the wires, you ll hate the carmaker, if 200km, you ll sell ad buy another brand ))) I believe, aftermarket service is also important, which now-days is ignored by manufacturers. why people love Toyota? it can be fixed with hummer in the own garage(I am bmw fan)

Great content but just a small suggestion to the CTO, Please stop swinging during a presentation. When the subject is zoomed in and if it moves so much, it becomes annoying to view and also distracts the viewer. Anyways, thanks for sharing your knowledge!
