I have several times chartered this boat's bigger brother, the TES 678BT, and I find it really practical and well handling for a couple. It can be fitted for lake cruising with a swinging centreboard and internal ballast, with a false keel and centreboard, or for deeper water, with a fixed keel. A keel-centreboard version of the 678BT with a stern platform, a TES 720, has successfully been sailed across the Atlantic to South America. Andreas' 550 Master is a beautifully fitted out pocket cruiser. I guess it's a keel-centreboard version because it lacks the mast raising/lowering hardware up front, an essential feature of Mazurian Lake centreboard boats, but still has what looks like the centreboard housing. Still has the aft mast support post, so perhaps the mast is light enough to lower without the A-frame (the mast lowering line can be seen snaking into the anchor locker at 2:22 ).
