This video was made over 2 years ago, which means the gear rating is irrelevant because there has been an expansion and corresponding changes since - the tactics are still the same, though. If you play by the tactics, it can be done with lower gearrating; ilvl 330 and above should make it easy to do the championship; for the Sprint Champion you want the best gear you can get your hands on, stims, adrenals, anything that can give you a bit of an edge.
