Anyway, the premise on the basis which the answer has to be derived is in-fact hidden in his own explicit and implicit actions and demeanours during his tenure as CJI 1-First of all, Justice Chandrachud violated his oath of office when he said that he prayed to god seeking his guidance while confronting with confusions while trying to decide on the Ayodhya case intending to resolve it 2-As the oath of office he took was by pledging absolute allegiance to the constitution ,telling that he sought the guidance of god to decide the Ayodhya case was an utter violation of the oath of office he held 3-As this breach of oath can be challenged in the court of law,would the CJI have listed the same in his own bench and have made a judgement against his breach or had he exonerated himself as happened the case of former CJI Gogoi? ,is hypothetical 4- Provision and Execution of Justice seem to have remained for the powerful few ,slipping away from the reach of the common people at all levels and even for those political parties, if they are from the opposition 5- He changed SC flag,the physical appearance and attire of the goddesses of justice removing its blind fold from its eyes,replacing the sword in her hand with the constitution - (is it the constitution or the manu smriti? )Not known as nothing is written on it,again we are confused or is it that the CJI wants to keep us guessing ? Anyway not in this cases as this was done without any discussion having made with anyone ,though he always kept talking about the democratic values! Therefore, to answer his question ,we have to look into the number and nature of cases that came up before the SC during his tenure,the cases decided,not decided,deferred,refused to be heard etc.Then it can be audaciously sated that justice can’t be delivered by any judge with a confused or indecisive mind with no conviction to the constitution or the oath of office pledging to deliver justice impartially ,indiscriminately and decisively in accordance with the constitutional laws and principles During his tenure as CJI, it was seen that justice was denied or delayed,diluted ,discriminated,dismissed or discarded without any reason or respect to the constitutional rights of the people. The SC under his tenure often ignored the most important cases related to fundamental rights,electoral violations EVM tampering,Against EC ,ED,CBI,ECOC,SEBI, applications for bail or RTI ,misleading defamation cases ,misuse of power by constitutional institutions ,corruption ,economic offences ,diminishing political,social and religious equality ,rights and freedom of speech and expression etc etc Coming to the answer to Justice Chandrachud's question seeking to know how and what for he will be remembered? It's quite clear and simple for any common man to answer ....
