Im an Aberdeen resident and think this is absolutely brilliant. Its the perfect venue for this event. Its 3 minutes from the airport and motorway and 40 minutes from the Dinnie Stones if anyone wanted to see them. We don't get anything like this in Scotland with rhe exception of giants live Glasgow but thats not a convenient place if you dont live there or at keast near it. Ill be getting a three day pass and buying everything i can when there. Can't bloody wait.
Come to Aberdeen and eat an Aberdeen Angus steak, drink IRN-BRU and come to the Rogue Invitational.
Well fuckin said mate👍🏾👍🏾 3 day pass for me too and every day will be debreifed with a few pints down in Krakatoa😁
Vytautas, you have made an excellent point, that I hadn't considered... Great Britain/UK always sell out because they're such a strong fan base on the islands... and as an American we are a little spoiled. we've had the four major competitions. Arnold's, Worlds, Shaw Classic and the Rogue in our backyard for several years now.... as an avid fan of the sport, it needs more worldwide exposure. too many events are held in America... and that's coming from an American. Bravo Rogue, this is BIG... and credit to your marketing department for releasing this news when the entire strongman world is paying close attention, as the 2024 season is about to get underway!
Lived in Aberdeen for 20years, moved a short distance out of town but still work there. I watched the Rouge promo video completely unprimed and could not believe it 😂 amazing! Come on over lads, i'll take you for a few pints of Tennents at the best bar in town
Giants Live in Glasgow in October and Rogue Invitational in Aberdeen in November. Might have to tell the wife and kid Christmas is cancelled this year 😅
Buzzing for this as I'm only 1 hour away from this so I'm definitely going.
I live in Aberdeen. I was chuffed when the World Tour Finals came to Glasgow, but this is unbelievable!
P&J Live is a great venue, I was lucky enough to go to BBC Sports Personality of the Year there. It should be an epic show.
FREEDOMMMMMMM 🏴🏴🏴
I’ve already booked flights and hotel just waiting for tickets to come available🤞
Nice 😂
No messing about there….
I truly hope they put an effort into strongman fans being able to view competitions.
A handful of people who are lucky enough to fund out where an event was moved to, then have to stand there for 2 hours was not good.
If fans are paying for seats etc... they aren't paying to watch it on a screen...jmo
Coming to Aberdeen, just in time for me to move away from Aberdeen after living here for 15 years, still gonna go. Aberdeen has needed something like this to happen, there has been a slump after the oil crash. Anything moving between Texas and Aberdeen often makes me wonder if there is some sort of oil influence
I like your sceptical thinking, maybe like the "Great Escape "film all the Americans will be smuggling oil out down their trousers.
Just when I'd planned out what shows I was going to this year... 🔧 I mean I will have to go to the Rogue now!
Well Rouge have definitely stepped up after last years complaints. I think the strongman fanbase may out do the crossfit. Its good of Rouge to think of the European/Scandinavian competitors travel distance too.
I live in London, so flying to Texas would probably be cheaper than a train ticket to Scotland. Strongman has come of age in 2024. These are big events now.
Can't wait to go to this FREEDOM!!!!
F#ck yeah 😂🏴
@@LalasBrothers you boys heading over for the craic?
It's great news and will be my first visit to a strongman event. Only 2hrs away by train, happy with that!
💪💪💪
🤜🤛😁
This is awesome, i have a few questions .
Do you think that when the live competition is on the will have 2 seperate streams a strongman one and a crossfit one?
Also do you think the rogue in scotland will be just for the strongman and that the crossfit will continue in america ? If so this is great because here in the uk we have a huge strongman fan base, still niche but we, but us fans are loyal super fans, and the fact there was a lot of problems last year, this will be great because in the rogue they focus more on the crossfit ane not so much on the strongman, so i hope thay now its here in the uk that the rogue will focus more on the strongman, and be fair.
Ive been a strongman fan since 1999 when oy was 5 and a strongwoman fan since 2001, i just hope that the strongwomen will be involved.
Because of last years rogue i actually lost intrest in there comp , because i was very very disapointed but with this news , im actually very very excited.
the magnus ver magnusson classic IS the outside comp. i think one event is Standing Outside
Well said bros
Thank you 🤜🤛😁
Totally unexpected but I'm pretty thrilled with this. Obviously we have giants live over here and I go to those shows, but I've never considered that I would get to attend a top tier major show because a USA trip is just so far out of my price range and that's where they all are these days. It's also very promising that they've taken this huge step in changing up their show after the somewhat lackluster 2023 rogue. So much potential for it to be an incredible event if they continue on the path they set themselves from the beginning.
Hell yeah
Only 60 odd miles away for me... tempting. They're highly unlikely to hold anything outdoors though. November in Scotland generally ain't pretty.
Do we know when the tickets will go on sale? 10 mins drive from my house!!
I really hope they get the traction they will be expecting. Aberdeen is a bit of a trek for the English/Welsh fanbases
We hope so too that they will get the traction 🤞
Can’t wait 🎉
Us too 😁
Och, excellent! I never thought I'd ever see a Rogue Invitational without a lottery win. I'm going. Aberdeen might be a hike, but I'm going.
I think it’s great news.
Very good news 🙌
Time to be spicy
Yep 🌶️😅
I live in the Highlands on west coast and I'm delighted its coming to Scotland because then I don't have to look up time differences so I know what time to sit down and watch the strongman events, I go and do other stuff when CrossFit is on, its boring as fuck. Cheers guys.
Also if this is seen the bring descent money into Aberdeen it could be a positive proof of concept for finally getting a WSM over to the UK...
True
So cool 👍💪👍. Quite a few really good strongmen are European/British, so it makes a lot sense.
Can't wait. I know we get the GL shows but getting one of the big 4 comps so close to home it nuts. Definitely going
I think it's a phenomenal idea from Rogue Fitness to come to Scotland.
Who saw that coming? Pretty cool though.
I don't think that anyone saw that coming and it's a great surprise to all of us who live across the pond 😅
A little confused why you have Hafthor as the thumbnail holding the Icelandic flag. 🤔
Hafthor will be competing at the competition, I felt he would be the biggest draw when seen on a thumbnail
Happy at least one of the big 4 competitions is coming to the UK!
It's awesome 🙌
Do you know where and when the tickets will be available? The rouge website is very vague and dont want to miss it
Unfortunately we don't have any information when it comes to tickets.
This is very good to hear. Its boring as hell that WSM is taking place in America for the 6th straight year, they must've given up bringing the contest to other continents like they did in the 90s and 2000s. Malta was one of the best locations which Jouko Ahola won and hes one of my biggest role models ever.
Strongman should go back to Sweden . We want a sled push
@@user-he8lq8ny3v Eastern Europe would be cool, they had a couple Super Series in Russia but WSM hasn't been hosted yet
@@user-he8lq8ny3v Or Eastern Europe, they had a couple Super Series in Russia but WSM hasn't been hosted in Russia yet
@@user-he8lq8ny3v Or Eastern Europe, WSM hasn't been hosted yet even in Big Z home country(which isn't True Eastern Europe)
Should be good
Most likely will be.
How far of a drive is it for the Stoltman’s or can they just walk over?
Definitely have to drive, even 5 KM is a long walk which could be done if they didn't have a ton of strongman gear
They are over 100miles away by road
The fans in the U.S. shouldn't complain. They have the Arnold's, WSM, the Shaw Classic (SMoE), and they are getting the World Deadlift Championship (GL). Sharing the wealth, so to speak.
Sure, you can have 1 of the contests but don't ask for anymore
@Vampire__Squid , we need to have WSM go to different locations in the world again, like the old days. I mean, it's in the name. It is not USASM.
Arnolds predictions?
Just finished, video will be up tomorrow.
Maybe, Mitch can bring his baby over to Luke’s house and they can have a strongbaby competition.
I’d consider going if the CrossFit wasn’t the main thing about it. Couldn’t care less about that tbh
Let’s be honest, the 2023 event was a let down.
From a strength history perspective you can see why they are taking this show on the road.
Now, let’s see what events and athletes they choose and perhaps they can take Big Loz’s advice and play off the events between strongman and cross fit.
Put on a show that demonstrates just how exceptional strongman athletes are in terms of power and energy systems.
Keep the science in mind. Strongmen use their strength over a period of time.
Power=Force x Velocity.
Force= Mass x Acceleration.
If Tom is going to win one of these this is his best shot. No excuses.
Do you think they will do the real dinnie stones as they are near Aberdeen
It's possible.
