They like the new wave of British heavy metal sound more than punk in thrash so if they don't like punk they probably only listen to a select few bands

I saw them live at a venue I forgot the name of in OKC back in the late 90s/early 2000s. All the fashion punks and skinheads you'd never see anywhere in the city at any other punk/thrash/power-violence shows came out for this one, and then crawled back into whatever hole they came out of, promptly put their suits and uniforms back on and went back into the woodwork never to be seen again until the next big name punk band came through. I think us younger kids playing and building a different hardcore power-violence and thrash scene kinda put the nail in their coffins, I guess. The nail in our coffins came later, too... it always does.
To me, the Varukers are the epitome of real punk. Aggressive, anti-establishment, politically/socially aware, fast, and unrepentant energy! Punks NOT dead!
