I cut off 14" of my hair off on the 8th of august after growing it out for 2 1/2 years. i chickened out a lot. i didn't even go to a hair dressers for 2ish years encase they cut too much off. i donated to The Little Princess Trust, they make real hair wigs for children with cancer. i go to the school where the young girl, who was the person that the charity was started in honor of, went before she passed away. I also have raised around £250 to give to the charity because it costs on average £350 to make a single wig.
IF ANYONE DOES WANT TO GIVE SOME HAIR BUT DOESN'T WANT TO PART WITH TOO MUCH THEN THIS IS A GOOD CHARITY. THEY ONLY ASK FOR A MINIMUM OF 7" AND THEY ACCEPT HAIR FROM ANYWHERE IN THE WORLD!!

Claire Merson on the website it said in average it was £350 on average but some can get up to £2000 depending on size. So I guess if they r becoming much more expensive to make a single wig tye average would go up too. :)

I'm currently 12 but when I was ten I had hair down to my thighs 😅 so I cut off a 15 inch plait (18 inches of straight hair) to give to cancer to make wigs for little girls who don't have hair x!
abasketboy no its ok. we went to see the company because someone I know did it and it was a fake company like you said, so we went there and they talked us through and we searched it up and many people said how their daughter had cancer and that "little princess trust" (the company I gave it to) had given their daughter hair. and also one of my friends, meg has cancer and she had the choice of having hair from that company or to just not to have it and she decided not to. so thank you for your concern but we made sure it was a good company. also "The little princess trust" is known in the uk as a good company.

Whenever my hairs real long I feel like it's SUPER annoying and in the way, and then once I cut it all off I feel super sad and want long hair back!! LOL
particularlyNoble I am too! I start washing my hair only 2-3 times a week and it's helped it grow sooo much faster! I just rinse it with water when it starts looking oily :)
particularlyNoble I've tried the Dove dry shampoo but I'm not a huge fan of it :/ I really wanted to like it and it definitely helps with oils, but it just made my hair FEEL gross and weird. And yes!!! I wash my hair in cool water too and I feel like it helps soooo much!!

Kailetts new haircut looks really beautiful. I made a mistake and cut my hair when I wasn't ready so now I really miss it and now it's taking a long time to grow back. I totally regret cutting it. I will never cut my hair again unless I am ready but Kailett was very ready and she looks so good I love her new haircut. ☺☺☺

I never understood why some people are scared to get their hair cut. I mean it's just hair. It'll grow back.
A haircut shows a lot about a person's personality, and it can dramatically affect your appearance. I was scared to cut my hair above my shoulders, and I was right to be scared, because my hair is really wild and curly and wavy and frizzy so it curled up above my chin and stuck out weirdly because it was so thick. I regret that, and I'm so glad I have very long hair now.
Hey, that's probs why my hair grows so slow! My nails grow fast, but my hair grows like, half as much as it would average, because it's so thick!

for 6 months I've wanted to cut my hair short, but every time I get to the salon I've ended up backing out. My hair is to the bottom of my back, and it's been long for 1 1/2 to 2 years. that's not a super long time, but it's long enough that I've gotten tired of it. I watched this video, and now I know that I'm ready to cut it. I'm super excited to cut 12 inches off and have shoulder length hair for the first time in 3 years. I'm gonna do it on Wednesday. Ahhh I can't wait!!!

My hair is down to my ankles and every year I cut it to my knees and donate that, then to my hips and donate that and then I wait for it to grow back to my ankles and do it all over again

I just cut 14 inches off my hair. My hair is now just past my chin. The first time you run your hands through your hair after a big cut it TOTALLY feels weird. Collette you look awesome!

Haha, that is such a first world problem but in this case it looks her tears were beautifully selfless. She is obviously attached to her hair but Colette was brought to tears by the fact that someone is going to be able to to have hair again of experience having hair for the very first time. So exciting.

My grandmother had cancer and used wigs while she was going through chemotherapy. SO ever since then I will donate 12 inches every 3 years. Just cut it off to the shoulders and donate. It makes you feel so good inside

Theres different ways. You can look on Pinterest website. But one way is avocado or mayonnaise leave it in the hair for few minutes then wash off. My friend does avocado.
I honestly just think it's the fact that she doesn't put products in it or dyes it that makes it healthy and shiny. But yeah there are products out there and shampoos and stuff that can help with that too. :)

I'm donating 18+ inches of my hair for charity on Friday... It's going to be Shailene Woodley in TFIOS length and style - I'm a little nervous! But I'm donating it to the 'Little Princess Trust' so children with cancer can have hair - mine will grow! But I've also raised almost £500 to send with it to help the charity :)

I made an appointment at the hairdressers a few days ago to get it cut collarbone length and I haven't once had the feeling that I don't want to do it. Katie Stanley It actually doesn't matter if it's dyed per se (they actually dye the hair as part of the wig creation process) but it matters if it has been bleached. It's one of the main reasons I refuse to get highlights because it would prevent me from donating my hair in the future.

That's so much better! I don't think he hair matched her face/body before. It was just to long. Somehow made her face look longer and her body look shorter. Just out of proportion in general. But it suits her much better now! I still think she could rock an even shorter cut though, with her face shape.
