    I recommended this machine for my dad who is elderly and could not shovel his driveway anymore and i have to say that I am completely impressed! It did an awesome job and was easy for him to operate. The one we bought was via Costco and came with 2 batteries and dual charger. Would definitely recommend.

      Yes it’s a great machine. Lightweight, easy to handle and very portable if you need to put it in the back of an SUV or truck with the folding handle. The Costco deal is great with 2 batteries. Thanks for watching.

    I'm buying one! Thank you for your very informative video!!!! (PS: I recommend starting blowing the snow from the CENTER of the driveway, then working outward on one side and then outward from the other side.

      Thanks I appreciate the feedback. I did not know what to expect with this unit. My only experience with snow blowers is a 27” two stage gas powered model I also own that I use to use for doing commercial snow removal. This Greenworks Pro model honestly surprised me. It was effortlessly clearing the snow. So light and easy to push even compared to my self propelled gas unit that is a bear to move around. Even the frozen slushy stuff the next morning was easy for it. I was so excited about how it was performing that before I went in that night I took it over to my neighbors house when I heard him come out to shovel and I cleared his driveway as well. He was also very impressed with it and asked how much they cost. It used only half the battery the first night doing both half driveways. Thanks for watching.

    My first real test of this snowblower was the first massive GTA snow storm last year. Needed a slightly different approach than the two stage blowers but it turned a lot of heads in my neighbourhood hanging with the big machines. I’d recommend at least two 5.0 Ah batteries if you’re doing large amounts, but I was able to keep going with two 4.0’s as I also own their 80v lawnmower. Love these machines, quiet and lots of power.

      Yeah I can honestly say I was pretty shocked at how good it was during that first use and how easy it was to maneuver vs my gas 2 stage. Thanks for watching.

      I will post more videos on the unit if we get deep snow like we did last year. It says it handles up to 13”. The lights are very nice I agree. Doing this half driveway plus my neighbors half driveway that evening used about 2 bars of the battery. Thanks for watching.

      Two 4.0 Ah batteries will run for an hour. It’s a light machine so you can actually clear in layers if the snow gets crazy. I wouldn’t have believed it before that crazy GTA snowstorm last year, but it handled it like a champ.

      @@KH-is3qm nice 👍 will be interesting to see if we get more snow here how the single 4ah battery does. I noticed that the included charger is very fast. I don’t think it took more than 1/2 hour to charge the battery but definitely was less then an hour. I didn’t time it as I was not expecting it to charge so quick. This model is also available packaged with two 4.0 batteries through Costco. Thanks for watching.

      @@LawnCareBusinessSuccess in my experience I got 30-40 minutes in medium to heavy snow, including the hard stuff where traffic has been. It seems to take a little longer than that to charge to full, but if you charge the first one while you run the second one, your wait for the first one to finish will probably be just a nice chance to use the washroom and make a coffee. If you had three batteries and two chargers, I don’t think you’d have down time if it went into the charger right away.
      For a commercial trial, I suspect if you got in touch with Greenworks they’d work with you at least a bit on costing extra batteries. They seem like good people.

    Hey Lawn Care Business I just bought this snowblower and I have one question, the left battery slot on mine does not seem to have the gold contact stems on it where I slot the battery in but only the right one does to power the snowblower, is yours the same way? I am guessing because of the led by the handle, it only shows one battery and not two, is this by design, where you take out one battery and swap to the other when one of the batteries is dead? So I assume the left one is for a standby battery basically?

      That indicates that the battery temperature is too cold. Bring the battery and charger inside to warm up and charge. Once the charger light is solid green the battery is ready to use and it should work fine. Make sure you store the battery inside the house if your garage or shed or wherever you store the blower gets too cold. Batteries do not like to be stored in extreme cold. Thanks for watching.

  • @EuroYardService
    @EuroYardService 2 роки тому +1

    Plain simple...batteries hate cold climates. I'd say unless you have tons of money to invest in backup batteries it's useless for anyone operating a snow business in real winter climates with serious cold temps. Does it have rubber paddles or hard plastic? Looks like a good homeowner model.

    • @LawnCareBusinessSuccess
      @LawnCareBusinessSuccess  2 роки тому +4

      Your correct that batteries don’t like cold climates, but heat is the number one killer of lithium batteries. With the snowblower the manual recommends charging and storing the batteries at room temperature. When your using the machine the current draw will keep the battery warm. It’s a great unit for homeowners but I can definitely see some case use scenarios where it would be good for work as well. One example is when I use to do snow removal all of the commercial properties took first priority. That meant by the time I went to do any residential clients it was often later in the evening and I hated using my gas 2 stage snow blower because of the noise. I could see using a much quieter battery model in those scenarios on residential properties late night or early morning. Even now when I don’t do snow removal anymore for my business I still never use my gas 2 stage unit on my own property even during the day because of the noise. The noise from gas equipment is so much worst in the quietness and stillness of winter vs in the spring, summer or fall when there is an abundance of other noise in my opinion. To answer your question on the paddle I showed that it is made of a thick rubber at the 2 minute mark of the video. Thanks for watching.

      I don't really hear a "squaking" noise but more of a high-pitched whining noise. I have 3 Greenworks products: A 22" snowblower; a weed trimmer, and a leaf blower. They all make the same noise. It seems to be a normal noise these products make.

    As expensive as this snow blower is, it really should have two active ports instead of storage. This is just stupid. I don't want to have to swap batteries when I am wearing thick gloves.

    • @LawnCareBusinessSuccess
      @LawnCareBusinessSuccess  Рік тому +1

      I would be nice if it did that but I think most people will be fine with one battery for your average 4-6 car driveway. I think that would also probably make it more expensive as it would require extra switches, buttons, cabling and circuit boards to be able to either automatically switch between batteries or even manually switch with a button for example. Thanks for watching.

    • @maximusmagni1
      @maximusmagni1 Рік тому +1

      @@LawnCareBusinessSuccess I strongly disagree. If someone is getting the 22" blower over the 20" blower, they can probably use that. If someone doesn't need to swap batteries, they can probably get by with the smaller model. They already do that for mowers so it can't be that much more. I live in the Detroit areas and I have to do 3-4 battery swaps with the 80V 4Ah batteries.

    • @ajgreen868
      @ajgreen868 Рік тому +1

      That is for this post. I assumed that it switched automatically like their mower does. Storing the battery is just going to make it cold and not run as good. But I do still like the blower

    That high pitched noise is worse than a reg gas blower.

    • @LawnCareBusinessSuccess
      @LawnCareBusinessSuccess  2 роки тому +3

      Yeah right! Good luck convincing people of that. It’s may seem loud on camera but it’s not. In fact I actually boosted the audio levels to 200% to hear my talking better in the outdoor clips. In any video I use gas equipment I always have to bring the audio level down to around 20% to make the video bearable. Using the machine with no hearing protection needed. I have a 2 stage gas unit that I never use on my own property because it’s so noisy. It would literally wake up the whole neighbourhood in the stillness of winter. Especially if you wanted to do an evening clearing like I did in this video. It’s the whole reason I wanted the battery machine was the noise of the gas one being unbearable. Thanks for watching.

    • @KH-is3qm

    First off I went to the Greenworks web site and asked them for a video on how to 'assemble' the item in question from scratch, right out of the box and what do they do? The person I was talking to sends me here, to watch this 22 minute video about the item already put together.
    Did peoples brains suddenly drop out their butts at Greenworks.
    The idea was to see the 'assembly' as it happens, not to waste any actual time looking at some guy pointing to different parts of the machine and 22 minutes? Seriously?? 22 minutes for a video that should be maximum 5 minutes long.
    I don't really need to watch this guy do his driveway for 13 minutes.
    What an actual waste of people's time.
    REdo the video.
    You only need a video to show how to 'ASSEMBLE' the snow blower, that is all you need to do. If you want to make a video about how great the thing is, make another video and waste peoples time there.

    • @LawnCareBusinessSuccess
      @LawnCareBusinessSuccess  2 роки тому +8

      First off you don’t need to be rude. Secondly if you actually paid attention when I was pointing at parts as you said, you’d see I explained how it went together. Making a dedicated video on assembly would be a waste of time. I assembled it without even looking at the instructions and as explained in the video takes less then 10 minutes including taking it out of the box and and the only tool needed is a #2 Phillips screw driver. I also know from UA-cam analytics from past videos I’ve made that unboxing and assembly is the least watched part and waste of time. People want to see the unit up close, get my thoughts and see it in action. Not watch me turning a screw driver. Why did I show cleaning off my driveway in real time? Well I’ve been making hundreds of videos over the past seven years and have read the thousands of comments to go along with them. With this unit being battery operated and people generally being skeptics, I wanted to show the job being done in real time from start to finish. I knew from past experience if I didn’t show it in real time from start to finish I’d have all the “video making experts” like yourself that would comment that I didn’t show the whole thing and that I probably edited the results to make the machine look better then it actually was because greenworks sent me the unit. etc. I’ve read them all. The included instructions explain everything you need for assembly and even include exploded view pictures. With so few parts to assemble, if you can’t do it without someone literally holding your hand each step of the way, then you probably should not be operating this piece of equipment as it could be potentially dangerous to those that lack basic common sense.
