One thing I've heard and I appreciate about her is that she sings anywhere, she doesn't have to wait until there's some high-paying venue. She'd sing in her backyard to whomever would listen. Now, that's true ministry, I think.
I can watch and listen to this specific performance by Ms. Vickie Winans like it's the first time. This was her best performance ever. Her voice is pure, touched and flawless. She introduced this version as beautiful and uplifting as it still is... to the world. If you are a believer, then the words in this song gives you the hope and faith of Jesus' second coming. If you are a nonbeliever I pray this song touches you. In Jesus' name, Amen.
One of my favorite gospel songs. I lost my mother 2 months ago..its seems surreal. We miss her so much😪 She leaves to mourn 9 children, 32 grandchildren, 43 great grandchildren and 5 great great grandchildren. Rip mom🙏

Why do people compare people, her and Sandi Patti's versions are wonderful and have different appeals to different people. This is such a great song. This song reminds me that I will see my Dad, my grandparents, my youngest daughter, and most of all Jesus when I leave this world. I have tried to reason with someone to tell them that Jesus is the Only Way to Salvation and that our lives don't belong to us but that they are simply on lease to us from God. This person wanted to justify the actions of non-Christians... I used the Bible to refute him...

We DID tear up that day. The place rocked. I was about 8 when this happened. I was in the nosebleed section. She looked like an ant, but that voice was so clear and crisp. I'll never forget it! This is the first time I saw her performance up close.

I miss such passionate singing in churches today. There are some who still hold it down - if not more passionate - however, overall, we need more. This generation is more focused on music that caters to our likeness rather than ascribing glory to God. This song reminds me that we are surely ambassadors and that our Savior is coming soon.
