Interesting to see the MML south of Bedford, not often covered on film. Certainly a vast array of EMU types and liveries now - last time I filmed this way it was just Class 319's in Network SouthEast livery! Pity there was only the one freight train.
(^.^) Nice VTR... I remember last autumn trip. London to Glasgow with the Virgin train Pendorino class390 that using the West coast mainline. That was so awesome trip!! (From Japan) ;)
I don't know much about trains but as a regular user of this line can anyone explain why the latest thameslink trains have a third light at the front that shines down at the rail and a light illuminating the pantograph regardless of what time of day it is?
Brilliant shot looking down the long straight with the HSTs crossing. Those Electrostars sound quite good accelerating and decelerating.
A Very nice film, enjoyed watching. Thanks Matt

It's the law so workers on the line can see trains from a distance (this is for all train operators around the world)
Are they first capital connect or first great western
Thank you I was wandering that!!!
