Even the Mermaid Tails are beautifully done. I always imagined these Mermaid Tails are what I want in a live action Little Mermaid but instead we get a Tail with curtains flowing in the water and not fishy looking.
@@AngeeloRabayawell you can always stick with these tails. Along with the ones from Splash, Hook, The 13th Year, that time in Power Rangers when Chad help & saved a Mermaid, the 2003 Australia film known as Mermaids, Aquamarine, & H2O + Mako Mermaids. While I do have a soft spot for the 2017 film Scales Mermaids are real.
Rob Marshall did All these elements for these Mermaids, to create for them after swimming lessons to do as a Mermaid, they’re gonna to do practice for swimming and then rehearsing before shooting, so Rob had to create these elements for the mermaids with VFX CGI Before He using to direct his Live Action Disney film “THE LITTLE MERMAID”
It's always amazing to see the amount of work and detail that goes into creating movie magic, and I'm glad that you found this behind-the-scenes video interesting and enjoyable. The mermaids in Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides were certainly an impressive feat of special effects and makeup design. The filmmakers had to create realistic-looking creatures that would fit within the world of the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise, while also conveying a sense of beauty and danger.
6:06 "we are killer ones, not the pretty ones". heartbreaking to see the stunt mermaids don't think of themselves as pretty. you can thank Hollywood's unrealistic beauty standards for making even average looking girls have low self esteem issues. it reminds me of the scene from gotg in which mantis thinks that she is ugly because drax insulted her appearance.
@@zsedcftglkjhIt isn't insecurity, it's the truth. Society is always forming a new version of what beauty is but beauty is subjective. I've been treated so differently by men and women from when I use to wear makeup and dress up to now wearing no makeup and just a hoodie and sweats. No person should ever be called insecure just because society deems them as unattractive or not beautiful for simply not wearing makeup or not dressing provocatively. If anything, it shows you have more respect for yourself by not feeding into society's standards.
The mermaids were literally the best part of the movie lol
I agree
it's so cute how excited the girls were to be playing mermaids, lol
They need a movie that focuses more on the mermaids. I LOVED this scene 😍
The mermaids in this movie is the best for me and forever ❤️
To think these mermaids were way better done here than the ones in live action little mermaid.
Uhmmm the they were both done beautifully
@@DxllyDelReyno, little mermaid live action was poorly done. This was years and years prior and PotC did it way better.

“Under the Scene.”
I see what ya did there…😏
8:25: That’s the point. They’re supposed to be scary looking.

As an ex-synchronised swimmer, let’s go ladies! 😁
*08:31* why did they drop this jellyfish design ffs? It's brilliant and a lot better than their final look!
I think it was difficult to realise because the all scene happens at night
I think the look at 1:24 would have been amazing.
So amazing to see !!!!!

I'm sure they were mainly joking but I get your point
Somebody's insecure.

Where did you find this?
And then one mermaid got to slap Captain Jack Sparrow😎
all these cool designs they had and the final product is vampire chicks....
The "swimming coaches" do not look as if they do much swimming.
Are you a mermaid 🧜♀️
