I admit I thought about dnf'ing Ninth House for the first like 40% because I don't have the patience or attention span for slower reads a lot of the time, but I'm so glad I didn't. I absolutely adored it and cannot wait for the sequel. I hope your foot is okay! When I saw you stand in the spinny chair my immediate thought was "if that was me, I'd fall" and then you fail, and I felt like I jinxed you. 😅 I don't celebrate or even really like Halloween all that much tbh, but I adore all of your spooky decorations and that spiderweb shirt.🕸
It hit me hard when you were talking about this last year because it has been that way for me too. In February my mother died suddenly and then quarantine happened. I was so excites about October and Halloween because it is my absolute favorite time of year. Then I got diagnosed with both rheumatoid arthritis and something called a chiari one malformation which gives me constant headaches. I am only 30 and I am falling apart 🤦As if that wasn't enough crap, it was also my mothers birthday. No matter how hard I tried Halloween just felt so hollow and lost its magic. Sorry about the rant, but I just want you to know you aren't alone 🖤🖤
I'm so sorry this all happened to you this year :( My heart breaks for you and I don't want to spew the "it'll get better" nonsense since I know that it personally does not help me when others say this. Though, I do hope that things start going up for you because if there's anything I believe it's that bad things can't last. At least in my family, my grandma brought the tradition from when she lived in Argentina for a few years, when she was young, and she would dance tango with my grandfather and listen to Carlos Gardel. Also, thanks for the lovely message for my sick dog. He died on the 31st and his name was Guatón Chancho ( I wonder if they know these words in Argentina). Always nice to watch your videos. Yep! My mom is from Honduras 🇭🇳 and stepdad is from Peru 🇵🇪 and my dad is from Mexico 🇲🇽. I’m not really close with my dad but mom and stepdad for sure drink yerba maté like a hot tea though. We pronounce the “y” like the regular Spanish “y,” it’s literally the only difference. 😊

Yesss, I am from Brazil and, specifically where I live (literally in Argentina's side), we drink mate, but it's called chimarrão (like, it basically erva mate with hot water). Honestly, is quite the same thing but with different names! It's an important symbol from my state as well.
Brazil here, and yes, we do drink a lot of mate. We make a lot of drinks with the mate earb like chimarrão and cold mate, which is the earb with lemon juice. It's great. Love that's spreading like that. There's a mate with guaraná that's can replace energy drinks and it's crazy.

Your living room looks so good! I was able to vote using mail ballots and it was so much easier and honestly just safer during the pandemic. I lost my emotional support animal last year and since then I've not been doing good lol, I haven't even properly grieved for my other animals who had passed away not too long before he did and then I had another one pass last year after my emotional support animal and I'm in survival mode as well, well I have been for awhile but it's worse now. I feel like October went by SO fast meanwhile the rest of the months took 4 months to pass and I'm sad about it because it's my favorite time, try to be kind to yourself though, it's not easy to get over a pet loss to be honest, I'll be sending you good vibes.
