@@Touchtechnologyreview Thanks for the prompt response I truly appreciate it. I still can't find the trim icon(editing) and icon for songs on my Android phone tool bar. Please what could be the problem?
@@nkirukanwachukwu8095 Oh really. That's odd. Perhaps there is an issue on the Android version. I am not really sure as I have only tested on iPhone and the web browser version. If you can't get it to appear you can always login on a computer and edit it there.
You’re the best! Thank you so much! You’ve made it super easy, they are so many other videos of unnecessary stuff and having to pay but yours was most sufficient.
Thank you for this information! On Anchor, do I have to record the podcast in one segment or is there a way I can paste pieces of audio together? For example if I record a portion of my first podcast today and then another portion tomorrow, can I combine it to make one audio file to upload? Sorry if this question is weird, this is all new to me. Thanks!
You can definitely do it that way. When you finish each recording you can save it into the library of the Anchor app. You can then come back into the Library at any time tap on clips and add them put them all together into an episode. To do that just just tap on the plus button on each audio clip in your library and add them one by one.
I am not entirely sure about that. I can't see any option in the app but I have heard of a feature that allows you to make a video of your episode and it auto transcribes for you, possibly available in the web interface version of the app at Anchro.fm?
Thanks for the suggestion. Will see if I can get my hands one one I would consider it. It’s a good option at the price, single lens, smaller screen and physical home button are the main differences between the SE an the 11.
Thank you so much for this very good explanation. This is what I wanted to know since very very long time because I want to do this once I get good on my UA-cam Channel
I think that you can only have one podcast show per login using Anchor. You can have multiple shows within that but not new podcasts shows. The way around it would be to have multiple logins?
Well it's not quite that easy. Typically only one USB microphone can be detected on both Mac and Windows machines. If you have a Mac you can do it using the audio midi utility. I have created a tutorial on it. ua-cam.com/video/jw5dID426lI/v-deo.html This could be helpful. However I must warn you it is not easy. Much harder than it should be if you ask me. But the video takes you through step by step if you have the patience.
Not that I am aware of. However I wouldn't be surprised if it comes out as a feature update at some point soon. Given that it is owned by Spotify and they are starting to push into the video podcasting space. But for now the best way to go is to produce your video podcast and publish that on UA-cam and then export the audio out and upload that to Anchor as an audio podcast.
Sorry about the delay on this. Just got to the messages. Usually when you have a mic input it hijacks the audio so you can't have both. So a Microphone with a wired 3.5 monitoring jack would be the only way to do it as far as I know.
For me it was easy because I used the audio recorder which has a mic input and headphone output. If you are using an iPhone it may be more difficult these days because many of the newer generation of phones have done away with the headphone jack. There are a few options for you. Probably the best if you want a microphone like the one I use is to get something like the Rode NT1 USB or Rode NT1 USB mini. It is a usb microphone which you can connect using the Apple Lightening to USB camera adaptor. The microphone itself has a 3.5 headphone input so you can then plug headphones straight into the mic so you can hear yourself. I haven't tested the set up yet but this is something you could look into.
@@Touchtechnologyreview thank you sir.. just a last question can Bluetooth headphones and external mic be used for recording in anchor with others.. as you know there is an option for recording with friends.. The audio splitter is recognising both external mic as well as headphone mic...So what is the solution for that ... And now the headphones also come with mic hardly there is any headphones without mic...
There are always going to be issues if you use commercial audio tracks. I would recommend looking at music libraries that are copyright free. Artlist, Epidemic Sound are both subscription based options or there is UA-cam. You can get great quality free audio tracks from the audio library which are free if used on UA-cam podcasts but if you want to use them on other platforms you have to contact the artist.
I believe you can go up to around 2 hours using the Anchor Mobile app. More details on specific limits here: help.anchor.fm/hc/en-us/articles/115001181071-Episode-length-and-limits
Awsome video man, i have a question though. Is it possible to connect 2 or more microphones into the iphone will that work on the app? Assuming im using the usb microphones? And is the app supported on ipad as well? Thank you again keep rocking
Thanks man, appreciate you taking the time to check it out. The app and iPhone/iPad interface is not suited to multiple inputs. The only way you could connect two microphones is using an audio interface, which I have done before or even a simple way using a splitter cable ie 2x3.5 input to 1 single 3.5 input. Then you plugin that into the 3.5 to lightning audio adaptor. So a little tricky but can be done. It is also available on the iPad and that leads me to my next suggestion and that is that you can have the second guest use another device simply add them to your current recording session the way I show in the video to invite a friend and that should do the trick. 👍
Sure thing, it supports any audio coming in to the iphone. So if you use some kind of lighting port mic or the lightning to Usb adapter with a usb mic it will work. For example I have got it to work with this awesome usb mic ua-cam.com/video/NJ8C_dJnZec/v-deo.html

Not 100% sure. You would have to read the terms and conditions. Like most social media we do own our content but hidden in the T&C’s they tend to claim some kind of hold on your content.
I have a new iPhone 12 in deciding whether to use this or my MacBook Pro which is a about a year or two old to record my video podcast. The iPhone 12 camera looks like it has a slightly better quality. I have a canon 700d DSLR but I’ll be needing to record remote interviews
I would expect the iphone 12 to have a better video camera and lens than the MacBook Pro which I understand is only 720p video quality. The iphone 12 has full HD and even 4k and also you can choose between a mid-wide lens and a longer lens so more options on the iPhone.
@@Touchtechnologyreview thanks for confirming. The only thing is I’ll be doing remote interviews meaning I’ll be using zoom. Could I record an interview via zoom on my iPhone ? Using my MacBook, I can also go onto a file in my laptop which records the audio of the interview.
