- It's Saki's theme! Again! I did this one in 6 minutes because the Touhou 19 arrangement is the same tempo. I didn't even have to rerecord anything!

A strings ensemble often helps make a song feel more full. I added them to the background of this song to make it sound less empty
So I been wondering, do any of the tracks in this game use toms? Because from what I can tell the toms of the drum kits that ZUN is using (GA5 dam hard, triebwerk drum and perc kit 6 and other ones he used for arrangements like saki's theme or tsukasa's stage theme) sound almost identical to the snares and that makes it really hard to tell if they exist, because I know that ZUN still uses plenty of pedal hi-hats, they're just a lot quieter on the drum kits he's currently using. So as a guy who I think has seen the midis of a lot of the themes of this game, do any of the new themes have toms? (specifically the new ones because those don't have any welly accurate midi's unlike the rest of the arranged themes that already do) Because there is a lot of moments where there is snare spam that seems to become fullerin sound and then lowers in pitch before stopping and that to me indicates toms being used in the fashion ZUN usually uses them in (high toms to mid toms to low toms).
Each of these drumsets he uses do have toms, but for some reason he just opts for kicks, snares, and hi-hats only.
@@Wobuffet3 so i guess thats a no, at least, for the new themes (reimu,marisa,suika,newbies) because the arranged themes that already had toms should still theoretically have them.
@@Wobuffet3Also every one of those drumkits should have two snares, as most midi drumkits do, like the iconic gator kit second snare. So, does ZUN use any second snares in the new themes(from this game only)? Or does he simply use the first snare only, because that would be really, really sad that the drums in touhou songs are slowly becoming less and less complex and interesting.
@@cchieffkiefbeff I wouldn't know, I haven't been paying attention to drum patterns since DDC. His music as a whole is becoming less interesting. Zanmu's theme is the most interesting one he's done in awhile, but even if you take away the voice it's just bland and formulaic.
