Brother Jared….I have been so well taught over these past three years by your amazing gifted teaching…I look forward to every lesson. But what I have found that stirs my soul the most, is your tender heart…concerning your family…especially the female members. This light always shines through with the unfeigned love you have for the Lord, and His sacred works. Again, our good brother…your faith has strengthened mine…..His light becomes our testimony. Keep up the good work❤️😇. David

I am so grateful for Granny Wilcox. Her son Micheal and Her Grandson Jared have blessed my life in such beautiful ways. Thank you Brother Halverson for carrying on the family business in such a beautiful way. I understand the gospel and Paul so much better now through your generous, humble offering of institute classes in my home.

I just lost my mother last month. This community of believers trying to grow in Christ together helps me to feel not quite so alone. Thank you, Brother Halverson.

I was blessed once to serve in the elders quorum presidency, back when elders and high priests were separate, and one of the most joyful memories I have is when I, with the Spirit taking the lead, was able to help a brother choose to go to the temple to be sealed to his wife. Their children also chose to be married or sealed in the temple, and their youngest went on a mission. It was very humbling to be part of their experiences.

I loved your tool box story. When I left for college, my Gramie gave me a baby pink colored tool box and all the handles matched. I loved my pink tool set. Fast forward about 5 years, I married a very manly man who wanted nothing to do with my pink tools. Fast forward 10 years into raising our children and several tools were "missing" from my set. Found them in hubby's manly tool bag! LOL 🤣😂🤣

Onesimus means “profitable” or “helpful.” Onesimus represents each of us. Alone we are unprofitable servants but with Christ we become useful valuable profitable.
Philemon means “loving” or “affectionate kiss” and represents our Heavenly Father. He loves us and is willing to forgive us and embrace us with His heavenly kiss.
Paul of course represents Jesus willing to be our advocate and step in our place to pay the price for us. Willing to pay our debt.
    Beautiful!!!!

I’ve never liked Paul because I’ve never understood his writings but you’ve made me admire him and understand it more.
You’re story of the armor of God was neat. I heard another one from someone in the Air Force. He talked about the fiery darts of the wicked. He said the aim isn’t to kill but to keep them busy protecting themselves so they don’t do a big offensive. The darts aren’t meant to kill just wound. Because it takes more manpower time and equipment to deal with the wounded than the dead. Sounds heartless doesn’t it.
    But true.
Satan certainly uses it. What I see in the church is the 1/3 that the active spend more time and energy trying to reactivate the other 2/3s rather that keep the active members active.
I’m sure you’re looking forward to getting your life back once youve completed the come follow me curriculums. I’ve enjoyed the last 4 years listening to you and have benefited from it and plan to continue to use them. Thank you for your time and effort.
But I wish you would continue doing podcasts. Needn’t be weekly. That you will talk about anti church arguments and differences in doctrine etc that you have majored in. Or address ones that we are personally dealt with. It would increase our protection against the fiery darts and help us withstand our darts so we can remain in the active category
Anyway. Thank you and your family for taking the time and effort to do this. It was an enormous effort. Thanks again

I was taught 2 Timothy 3:15-17 as a missionary by a man who we had just challenged to read the Book of Mormon. From then on I always used it as part of my challenge. To read the BofM and see if it met Paul’s description. It gives people a yard stick to measure it and the Doctrine and covenants by and they measure up very well

1:50 just listened to this part of study 😢, brother Halverson,I have said this before and I say it again, thank you,for the way that you teach me in the scriptures, thank you for sharing your life knowledge because it touches my spirit, I know I will probably never get to meet you personally in this life because I live in the UK, but I know I will see you on the other side.
You will never know how your teaching has strengthened my faith and understanding of the gospel and helped me to love my saviour and father more than I ever thought possible, I will always and forever be grateful for the day I found you on this channel way back when you first created it , and haven’t missed a week yet
May the lord bless you and your wonderful family, all of them ❤ x thank you 🙏

Ooh, I would love to hear his version of the armor of God. I was able to explain the armor of God to a class from a military perspective the way I saw it. Funny that I was in the military so long ago and have read this over and over and just now (only ? )4 years ago equated it with actual stuff. We need a diagram...it really helps. 😊

I love your coverage of Philemon. I think this oversexualized world could use similar admonitions regarding fidelity in relationships that God cannot sanctify.
"This choice will ultimately cause you unhappiness, but there will be less unhappiness if you can at least be faithful to each other. Not deceiving, lying, sneaking, nor backbiting."

I googled S Michael Wilcox there is a great resemblance between the two of you. You both may very well look like your Grandmother of whom you spoke of.
I greatly appreciate the time you put into your UA-cam teaching. I appreciate that you do not constrain your lessons to a time frame. that you have chosen to complete your lessons no matter they take over 2 hrs or parts to be thorough thank you again for the time you invest between study, compiling, and all other preparation; your delivery, editing, and all other presentation processes. that takes a lot of time a nd dedication to present every single week. My hope is that you understand the depth of my gratitude to you service to the Lord and each of your brothers and sisters in this, the faith we share for the Lord. I wish to ditto this message with every lesson. simply tyvm. please have a blessed day.

I always wondered about American Christian slaves and their Christian masters. Generally speaking, it seems like in any authority/ subordinate relationship there is great benefit borne out in Unity from common mission, and, from respect for each other.

A message from the First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
We are devastated by the recent eruption of violence and loss of life in the Middle East. Violence of this nature is abhorrent to us and is not in harmony with the gospel of Jesus Christ, which is a gospel of peace. At such times, our hearts ache for all victims of this atrocity.
As servants of God, we affirm that He calls upon all of us to love our neighbors as ourselves, and we pray for a peaceful resolution of all conflicts.

I want to thank you for all that you & your family sacrifice to teach us these great lessons. During this or the last video you said that "They killed him" meaning that the Jews had killed Christ. Wouldn't that then negate the resurrection and also the need for the atonement and the plan of salvation? If mortal men could kill the God of this world, the Son of the living God, that would have stopped Him from voluntarily giving His live for us, to willingly break the bands of death and set us all free from the grasp of death? This statement has been one that always sets my teeth on edge because those 3 words negate the plan of salvation.

Eve indicates she was initially beguiled as to Lucifer's identity, role, and intent: "I know thee now. Thou art Lucifer, he who was cast out of Heavenly Father's presence for rebellion."

To Brother Jared Halverson, I have been with the church from 2013 - 2023 in the last two weeks I never heard of you. So I have been binge watching your talks. The only thing wrong is I wish I knew you ten yrs ago. I have two problems 1 the Jeffrey R Holland speech about the homosexual and the church as see no evil speak no evil and hear no evil.
2 How can you make peace knowing you father has embedded in your head ever since you where knee high to a grasshopper that the LDS church is a cult and was confirming of the Indian culture and Joseph Smith was not a prophet only Jesus Christ is. And number one is polygamy
