I was at the WRUW studio a few weeks, and I was going through their LP collection, and I think this was one of the ones I found. I recognized Robert Poss' name on the back cover, because of Band Of Susans, the band Poss formed subsequent to playing with Chatham. So I was curious to hear this.
Chatham was doing this before Branca. Branca was in Chatham's group at one point, mid to late 70s. See Chatham's notes on Guitar Trio from this album..
I would rather say to all our kids out there listen to this great musician and aspire to greater heights, take up the challenge and carry the flag. Morons like Tordah90 who is so negative and discouraging is not the kind of person to teach us anything.
What Neu! work does this ripoff? Being a fan of Neu! and a guitarist on this recording, I don't quite see the ripoff aspect. Lots of things influence all musicians.
I love Neu! Too but I wouldn't say it's completely ripping Neu! off. Sounds like the missing link between Neu! & "post Rock"! Dunno... there are definitely neu!esque parts. You're probably right😁, sounds great though! Have you heard la Düsseldorf & Viva! Not quite as good as the best Neu! Stuff but still great! Cheers y'all!!
