This was an instant back after watching this. This looks great. The best thing about how this game turned out is that it feels so incredibly authentic to many of my game sessions where one missed rule spirals end game totals to laughable amounts. But, these teachable moments always become reminder points to stress on for the teach later. The journey was worth it and we found out we were the foxes all along.
I think its awesome that Elizabeth Hargrave was actually there in the chat answering the questions!
As soon as Tom rolled his dice for the first pup and marked his card I jumped onto an All In Pledge!!! How beautiful are those foxes?! Great live play 🦊❤

Wow! I’m already planning to play the game, based on the spread seen in the first screen down view.
I watched this video when it came out. I even am backing the game, but I might cancel because honestly, I do not like how they are marketing their KS.
Just an opinion from what I have observed and read on the campaign page and honestly does not have to be responded to. Just an outward thought on my part.
The fox meeples I am cool with either design, I just do not understand why we had to have exclusive meeples offered to us by the player? That seems weird rather than just offering one whole stretch goal for all player counts to get the KS meeples. What would have happened in the event that only 1 or 2 or even 3 of the players got the improved stretch goal met and not the others. Would we have gotten the game with that odd number of KS exclusive fox art meeples? Just seems weird.
Also, why not just make the 5th -6th player count as an add-on or something included in retail? If it had offered some exclusive mechanic or changed the game I would understand the exclusivity, but it does not. So, why the exclusivity especially when the main box is made to already house this expansion? Seems weird to limit and lock this behind KS exclusivity and limit the chance for this game to reach the table for larger parties when it seems to perfectly include 2-6 players with no change to the core game.
Of all the stretch goals including solo is great for a huge backing of solo gamers. UV-spotting is always nice on games, and I enjoy the artwork. I want this game, but just because it is a KS does not mean it needed to have stretch goals, look at maul-peak they offer their game as is intended. Their game is offered at face value for what they are giving and the only benefit to KS backers is early accessibility. It is just a good example I can compare to. But, I still can not wrap my head around the idea that I am being sold 2/3 a game and having to pay an additional $40 just to get the last 1/3 of the game with the matching upgraded components.

1:01:18 The Red player in the bottom right has a friendly dice with two halves, only one of which is being used (by a purple die). Could they also complete a blue or brown die, or do the friendly dice have to also remain in a single-colour row?
The split friendly die does not have to be the same color. Rule book shows an example of where one half is used for one trait and the other half is used to complete a different trait. It’s super helpful!

The game seems to make more sense having a higher player count than 2 players. Guess, it's off my list. Would have backed it if I had a group to play with. Thanks for the playthrough.
There are different rules for two player and solo

Dice Tower don't review prototype stuff. They do a playthrough or preview though and up to the viewer to see if its for them.

The double fists of dice was offputting to me. Was that because they didn't know how to play or is there that many dice in play by the end of a typical game?
Always mic rustling sounds on the dice tower videos. Someone needs to learn better audio engineering...or new mics or something.
Simultaneous actions arg. I tend to really dislike those. Game looks fun enough though.
Why? Simultaneous actions keeps the game short and minimizes downtime
@@srebme2 because most of the time, games like that are games where its super easy to make mistakes and everyone doing their own things means garanteed tons of uncaught mistakes happen so the winner and losers are utterly meaningless and it just makes the games ultra boring.
its basically the next step up to multiplayer solitaire (which i dont mind).

I was interested until seeing that it was about BREEDING foxes.... Why couldn't it just be about conservation or something? I'm not usually against themes that would be unethical irl, it just feels really off-putting to me
what is off-putting about that? Breeding is part of conservation. Think Pandas
@@BoardInTheHouseBGAplayer but this is about breeding for the purpose of domestication. Which from my point of view is a bit sad :(
@@ottaviapalazzo6715 The point of the experiment was not to create domestic foxes, but rather to get a better sense understanding about the process wild wolves became the domesticated bets we know today. For example, curly tails were not a selected trait but often was a corollary trait to obedience and submissiveness.
The research has resulted in some fascinating insights.
@@ottaviapalazzo6715 If breeding for domestication is wrong then we should have never domesticated wolves to dogs. Probably shouldn't own any pets either.
@@BoardInTheHouseBGAplayer the domestication of wolves started too many years ago for making it the object of a conversation today. But if you want to bring this in the mix, the domestication of dogs indeed created an infinite number of genetic diseases to dogs of pure breeds, which wolves never had, and this was caused solely on the genetic breeding and domestication by the hand of humans. Of course I am not saying that people should not have pets. I am just saying that making a game over the same phenomenon, today in 2022, could maybe romanticise something that is actually not that good for a wild animal. That's all
