After getting this microphone and using it for a week or so I've had consistent feedback and issues regarding how basy my voice sounds. I'm not sure if that's normal for microphones but I would certainly say for acceptable results, just "plug and play" isn't going to help if you're a person with a deeper voice.
This is absolutely a USB mic I would get for my friends. Way easier than having to explain how to hook up an audio interface and the different cables for a similar price.
That's my thought too. Knowing that anyone can use it fully with the built in controls and no need to an app or anything makes it very easy to recommend.

Right?! I'm really happy that they're bringing something solid and affordable. There are lots of great USB mics out there, but it's always nice knowing that you're getting one from a reputable brand.
All right, I have to say that I went and bought the mic in the middle of your Video Tom. I was convinced that after a week of researching USB & XLR mics for my budget and needs this is perfect mic, especially coming with the decent mic arm for somebody like me who doesn't have a mic arm. Thank you Tom!
I'm really digging 1) that low profile boom arm, 2) price point that will be HUGE for high school/college media classes. It's a Sennheiser... not much more needs to be said. Well done Tom!

Very useful review and from someone that's between basecamp and the first camp site it's super helpful to keep things very simple, especially when you are the content, the video guy and the audio guy. Thank you!
Really impressive offering from Sennheiser. Would really love to hear a sound comparison between the Podmic and the Shure MV7 for example. Excited for this to come out, thanks for sharing!
Sound quality is always pretty subjective, but I’d personally say it has a more “full” sound than the PodMic and definitely better plosive rejection than the MV7. But they’re all excellent!
Thank you Tom! Your review heavily influenced my decision to purchase this mic. It just arrived today and my experience with it lines up with this review. Thank you for sharing your knowledge / experience and for your honesty.
I used the Rode nt usb plus, but as far as I can see, this microphone already gives the same quality and as a plus, it also adds the microphone boom arm. Also, it is not overly sensitive like other condenser microphones. I really liked this. I do voiceovers and I will prefer this
It's very nice! In a blind comparison straight out of the box, I think I would personally prefer the sound of the Rode, but the usability and reliability of the Sennheiser is second to none. Plus it also sounds great and is very easy to EQ if needed.
Have always loved Sennheiser. Back in my rock & roll days I always rolled with my own e835 because I hated the ubiquitous sm58s that venues had. Sennheiser has always been my first look company since. Still use their wireless guitar setup and the Senn ENG wireless pack was the standard for more than decade. Sadly I dropped my e835 one too many times. The Profile seems like a strong mic.
The fact that I had so many Sennheiser wireless units stand up to YEARS of use (i.e. abuse) by high school students really is a pretty strong endorsement 😁
what an amazing mic which comes after RODE launching their nex-gen NT-USB mic. hope there's a comparison. I will hold on to pay anything until I can see any difference between them...
I got mine a couple days ago. I like it -- it's quite a bright mic....I was preparing myself for some muddiness in the mid-high end, but it's crystal clear. My one very small nit to pick is that it needs an on/off switch of some sort. When it's plugged in it's on, and it may be weeks between uses, during which time I think the preamp (and gain knob light) should be shut down. It's not a huge deal to unplug the USB cable from the back of the mic....but somewhat inelegant for something that is so beautifully designed.
@@tombuck yeah, that too. My office looks like a Christmas tree with all these various power-on lights, and I keep the ambient lighting on the dim side
Great informative video as always and pleased Sennheiser sponsored you well deserved. I'm pretty impressed with the sound quality of the mic, and definitely is right for your voice. Makes me want a new mic 🎤 😭😭
What a great sounding mic for just at $200 - wow! And USB - that’s really amazing. Thanks for sharing that! I can see one of those in the near future! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I look forward to everything you have planned in future years!
Thanks Linwood! $129 for the non-boom arm kit is an absolute steal, but I'm really impressed with how much I like the boom arm. Hope your holidays are absolutely fantastic!
I added one to my amazon cart for Christmas but I just lost my job as medical emergencies bilingual interpreter so I will have to wait until I get another job or save enough to buy it. Your video just convinced me that mic worths the wait. I wish my thinkpad’s audio jack wasn’t so noisy, haven’t been able to record decent audio since I got it.
I'm so sorry to hear about your hardships, especially at this time of year. I hope things turn around and you end up in an even better situation than you were in before 🙏
When is it being released? I couldn't find a single article anywhere on it including any info even from Sennheiser's site itself. Great video and always appreciate the extra time you put into them to make them of a high quality.
I also did a lot of research, since I was READY to BUY! You're right, there is almost nothing on the specific date of the release. In fact, Tom's UA-cam video is one of the top search results and ... then ... nothing! As a product designer, the sample Tom was using looked like a finished production model. This gives me hope that availability is sooner rather than later.
Impressive! It seems that Sennheiser has decided to enter the field of content producers, podcasters and gamers in a big way. The sound quality is simply stunning for the price. Rode and Shure should be worried right now. You didn't mention it, so I guess the answer is no. But I'll ask anyway: doesn't it have an app to control it like the Shure MV7? Thanks for the excellent video, Tom. A hug from Brazil (Rio de Janeiro)
Thanks Adriano! There's no app with the Profile, which is honestly something I love about it. Of course you can run it through the software of your choice, but you don't need anything else to get all the features of the mic straight out of the box.
New subscriber here. I've watched a dozen of your videos over the past few days. They are all impressive. Like others said, good quality, well lit, pro looking, pro sounding, etc. Great product reviews. Definitely not getting the notice you deserve. Keep doing content please. (not that you were going to stop), lol. :) Oh, and the puns are great. lol
@ The microphone is actually good and value for money no doubts but I am finding the headphone output to not be very accurate for monitoring, when you listen back to the input while monitoring it sounds different, but when you unplug the headphones from the provided jack and use some other device like an audio interface, the difference is clear. This is exactly why I sent it back the last time I got it, I was planning to buy it again thinking maybe I got a defective one last time, but its the same this time as well, I am sending it back again and getting the NT USB Plus
Great overview, sounds excellent, especially for a USB mic. One thing I've decided having just posted a mic comparison of my own after playing with a bunch of non-shotgun mics over the last 2 months, is that I won't be using a shotgun mic in my new setup after we move in a couple weeks. Always fun to watch your videos 👍
Been watching a lot of your videos since setting up a much improved Zoom experience and chose this mic to use. Through more research I can came across Audio Hijack and Loopback. These two apps, paired with this mic, have created an amazing setup. I was able to sweeten up my mic audio and remove all the ambient background noise using Audio Hijack and a virtual input created using Loopback. I'd love to see you test this setup (or similar) and make a video about it for your viewers. It's truly fantastic. Thanks for all the hard work and amazing videos 👍👍!
Great review! I bought a blue yeti microphone almost a decade ago and it is now finally starting to crap out on me after many years of hard use and a few drops off the desk. I needed a similar setup with headphone monitoring, gain knob, volume knob, and mute button- all features heavily utilized on my blue yeti. I do wish there was a portion of your video demonstrating the sound quality of the mic as if it was positioned on the desk as a standalone mic without the boom arm. The recording distance comparison was helpful, but not exactly what I was looking for, since I'm looking to pretty much have a 1:1 replacement for my yeti which functions as a desk mic without a boom arm.
Tom, you keep giving me new options for when I decide to upgrade my microphone. I greatly appreciate your honesty in presenting options and will be looking forward to a comparison of this microphone with others you have.
Thanks Don! Obviously a sponsored video has a bit of inherent bias, but I made sure to use and test the mic before agreeing, and I REALLY like it, so hopefully that comes through. There are a million solid options out there, but it's always nice to get something from a great brand with a strong history.
Great review and your review convinced me to pick one up. I am extremely impressed with the overall quality and output. I also have a RODE Procaster paired with a MOTU M2 audio interface and it works very well but I needed something I could use on my work PC; so nothing that needs software or special drivers. More importantly is the headphone jack has enough oomph to power hungry headphones :). My only hiccup is I wish the section where the microphone mounts could swing side-to-side and not just up and down. I ended up adapting a piece from my RODE microphone that allows me to articulate the microphone at any angle.
Glad you're enjoying it overall! I see what you mean about the mount being a bit limited. I think they did that to prevent the cable from accidentally getting bent, but I'm glad you found a solution!
Quick question: for usb only mics in an un-treated room for voiceovers & youtube videos: what would you suggest between the Profile USB, XDM 100, Podmic USB, and the NT1 5th Generation?
Hi Tom! Thank you for your video! Because of it I sent back the Rode xdm-100. I liked the rode, sounded great (although I had some random popping sounds, don't know why), but it was just so overkill for me right know. Once I figured I had to shell more money for a sturdy arm because of how heavy it is I figured this is the best choice. I really liked how this sounds (more natural than the Rode xdm-100). I tested a 30$ A.I. plug-in on your portion of the video with the background noise and it completely eliminated it so I don't think I will have a problem with my untreated room.
I'm happy it was helpful! I haven't used the XDM-100 yet, but it seems like a great mic. Definitely big though since it looks very much like a Procaster. The Sennheiser should be available for order soon from what I've heard! The Rode NT-USB+ is also a nice option. Still a bit big though and no physical gain control unfortunately. But awesome sound quality!
I found you through your Deity VO-7U review. I was really enjoyed that video that I wanted to see more of your videos (while I needed to search up more good usb mics). I have the most fun watching your vids :D I think I'll stick around even after I find a microphone for myself. I'm REALLY REALLY REALLY interested in this one.... I'm willing to wait, but I also kinda want a mic soon.
@@tombuck But what do you think when you compared with VO-7U ? In my opinion super cardioid dynamic is much better for isolation background noise right ?
@@tombuck I really hope so. I saw this mic months ago and I‘ve been waiting since. I even told a friend about it who is head technician at a TV channel and who is running out of MK4 Digital mics. Many people are counting on this mic to finally come out.
Sounds really good - you made me want to run out and buy one!!! For a UA-cam channel or for a podcast, a big name mic at this price is a no brainer! This is an easy as pie recommendation. If it wasn't for you I would never even know this even existed. Great video, big thumbs up 👍👍👍
Thanks Peter! I LOVE my XLR mic setups and all the options, but sometimes simplicity wins. And I really love having a solid choice to recommend from trustworthy brand.
This is one of the few microphones that isn't limited to corporate software restrictions. I'd love onboard DSP, but the need to have software to manage it on a work laptop probably wouldn't be allowed.
@@tombuck Would love to see a video on audio/video tech options us corporate guys could use without needing the blessing of the enterprise. I'be been trying to get more creative for years during remote presentations, but locked down by the man.
Hey Tom, great video. I have already 3 USB mics (Rode Podcaster, Rode NT-USB Mini and Elgato Wave:3) and 3 shotgun mics (Rode NTG-3, Oktava and Sony ECM-B1M) and countless wireless mics (DJI, Rode and Chinese) and I still enjoy watching you introducing yet another microphone! Greets from Berlin!
Thanks Martin! It's always fun to see/try something new. With USB mics especially, I love having a few solid recommendations to share at different price points/features/etc. And this is a GREAT one.

Thanks for the excellent video, I was about to purchase another very popular USB mic in the same price range, but the Sennheiser is a no-brainer, excellent choice.
Thanks, Tom! Amazing video, as always! I have to admit I come from a bias of preferring an audio interface over a USB microphone, but I felt far less skeptical when I finished watching this video than when I started. I'm curious if you had to do any significant corrections post processing the audio from this recording. I love how there is almost no handling noise, and I love the physical controls! On the rare occasion you may need to adjust the controls during a live broadcast, that would be happening within the frame. Still, if I was to set someone who is new to using an external mic up with this mic, I think they'd feel more comfortable than say with a traditional mic + USB audio interface. Thank you again!
Thanks Yash! I myself typically prefer XLR mics because of how much variety there is and how much I do enjoy tinkering with interfaces and stuff, but sometimes you just need a simple option, and I also definitely love having something to recommend to people that doesn't require anything else other than a USB cable 👍 I didn't do anything at all to the audio, so this is straight from the mic. Although I have been a bit congested, so I think I sound a tad more nasally than normal, but that's not the mic's fault.
@@tombuck, it sounded great! I hope you feel better soon! This is where I need to say to myself: I don't need another mic! I don't need another mic! I don't need another mic!
I've been looking into USB mics lately to improve the audio quality of my voiceovers in videos for my other channel (though I personally don't think it's bad or anything). There are a few (more like several) that seem good for me, but there's so many options, I couldn't decide. I watched this video, and was like "Okay, this is it! I think this is the one!" And, of course, not available yet. Haha. Doesn't seem to be really anything out there about it aside from this video, either. I don't know if I'm gonna end up waiting for it or not. Hopefully it comes out - and is actually available - relatively soon. Edit: I am leaning towards waiting for it, to be clear. It sounds great (thanks for not doing anything to the signal - and I really like the idea of not needing to mess with EQ or other things). And the rejection of plosives is very impressive. Great video, as well.
wow this is a really solid option, especially at the price. I really appreciate the physical controls too, especially since if for example you need to use this on multiple computers, you don't need to fuss wtih installing an app. I might actually get this down the road for a condensor mic. The revelator dynamic mic also has the same controls as physical buttons, in addition to an onboard DSP. I love it, it's such a great mic hope you get a chance to review it sometime.
I've been a fan of Sennheisers Headphones for years, so finding this, about a month late, is pretty exciting. Being able to Match up my HD 599 with a Sennheiser mic for streaming seems pretty awesome. Plus, my 7 and a half year old Audio Technica ATR2500 kinda needs an upgrade (she's in rough shape)
They're really great. With all the options out there, USB mics don't always seem super exciting, but having a really solid choice from a great brand and a good price is awesome. I've also been really impressed with the updated Rode NT-USB+, but it is a bit more expensive and doesn't have a physical gain knob, which I really love on the Profile.
I've been using the Sennheiser IE100 pros and I like them a lot. IEMs are tricky though because everyone's ears can be so different. For me, these are the first ones I've found that don't come loose while I'm talking. They're super comfy and stay put, which is perfect.
I actually really grew to like the style of it once I used it. But I think that might also be related to the build quality- it's super solid and that definitely impacts how I feel about it's design.
Physical controls! Dials…! On the mic! Not sure I heard much of what you said after that 🥹 😍 This may sound odd but having the maximum number of physical knobs, dials and switches is important to me when I choose what hardware to travel with or even bring when switching between local workspaces. So yes, this will get a look in.
Is there a way to have a two or 3 mic set up for a podcast with this USB mic or do I need XLR for podcast setup? Was thinking about just buying this setup 3 times? Have not seen any video on this mic with a 2 to 3 person setup.
Thank you for your review and explanation. I'm looking to begin a VO career and have soundproofed my walk-in closet. Would the Sennheiser Profile be sufficient for beginning this venture? Thank you.
The Microphone sounds great, Awesome collab with Sennheiser, And thank you for showing us all that positive comments exist and what they sound like 😜👏🏽 Positive comments are not a myth 🤣
After I listened with earphone.... dryer sound s very clear on the background..... Maybe Sennheiser will also dive into the Dynamic world in next years..... actually I had decided on Deity but after I digged Deity reviews… there are 2 big issues 1 - after restart It needs unplug-plug cycle 2 - delaying on garage band on vocals and monitoring with earphones 😑 Still Couldnt find a dynamic mic 😑
Another great review, Tom...although a cursory search today resulted in no current distributors for this microphone. Is this a pre-production model? It's not even on their website yet.
This is great stuff!! Keep it up Tom 😁 would this mic always work for video conferencing when you want to keep it out of view, without it being too low volume (i.e. instead of shotgun mics, which don't come in usb or don't have the built in gain control)?
It definitely sounds best when it's close to you. You could probably get by with 18-20" of distance and it'd sound ok, but beyond that it's not ideal. You might want to take a look at the Rode Videomic NTG or Deity V-Mic D4 if you want a shotgun mic out of frame. Both can work via USB, and the Deity's gain dial DOES work when acting as a USB mic (although I prefer the sound quality of the Rode- jut weird that its gain dial doesn't do anything in USB).
I have one more question. What do you think, if we connect the sennheiser profile usb microphone arm to the podmice usb, would it carry it? How is the carrying capacity? By the way, I follow you from Turkey. I liked your detailed reviews. I subscribed to your channel
You honestly can't go wrong either way. The Sennheiser has more physical controls, which I like, but it would really come down to whichever one you think would sound better on your specific voice.
I'm trying to understand around the 2:08 mark what you mean by not needing anything else. No audio device for the microphone to plug into and a wind cover like you showed earlier? Also, I'm trying to understand what you meant about latency at 3:30. Are you referring to just the sound through your headphones only or to prevent latency? Don't plug directly into a computer to prevent latency? I think this microphone sounds super cool but when the gain was turned up, I did hear white noise or something. I was thinking that since it's a condenser microphone, would this be good for ASMR also? Sorry so many questions. I try to clump them into one comment. 😬 I was looking at another USB microphone that, with the gain up, it was still very crisp. But I just wonder with this microphone, if all I would need to do is just run it through a program to get rid of the noise. Any help is appreciated. ✨️
I somehow do have a huge amount of noise level in my recordings with it. Is there anything I can do 😕? Plugged it into my PC and iPad. Both the same ☹️! Doesn’t matter how high or low I set the gauge of the mic.
Hi there Tom. Great videos. Watched a good few of these deciding which Microphone/Boom Arm to go for and as I’m a big fan of Sennheiser I may well have found it here! I’ve registered interest on their website but I was wondering if there is an actual release date? Thanks in advance
Hey James! I don't have the exact specifics, but I believe the Profile should be available REALLY soon. Definitely worth waiting just a little longer for.
@@tombuck I couldn’t agree more to be honest! Think I’ll be going for the streaming set too like you had there in your video..looks pretty neat. I’d already Subscribed so just keep up the good work as you do (and the puns!)
Hello my friend. First of all, I'm very happy to have found a channel like you, your posts are very nice. And I need your help with an issue that I am experiencing. I bought this microphone after your review. But when recording to the audition program, the microphone sound is very low. The gain adjustment on the microphone is at 50% level and I am speaking from about 10cm away from the microphone. But the volume is very low during recording. When I increase the gain setting on the microphone, the sound level remains low, although the surround sounds are too much. Is there any other setting I need to do about this or is it a hardware problem?
Hi Fatih! It sounds like a setting somewhere in your computer to me. How are your levels in Audition? If those are set properly, then I'd recommend looking at your system input volume. On a Mac it's in the Sound Preferences screen. You can see and adjust the input levels for any connected audio devices. I'm guessing there's something very similar for Windows too.
@@tombuck Thank you for your primary response. The volume of my Sennheiser Profile microphone, which is selected in the introduction section of the macOS sound settings section, is at the highest level and as I said, the gain adjustment button on the microphone is at 50% level. In this way, when I record audio to the audition recording program, the volume remains at very low levels. And when I increase the volume on the program, so the bottom sounds and noises increase.
Hi Tom, can you help me decide between this Seinheisser profile vs the rode podmic usb and the Elgato wave3? This would be my first dedicated mic, and outside of video meetings, my main use case is for recording keyboard typing videos. For video calls, I’d prefer if it can easily pick up the audio when used as a table stand and doesn’t show up in video calls (~1 foot distance or so).
I haven't used the Wave mic myself, so I can't speak to that one. Between the PodMic and the Profile, I would say the Profile if you intend to only ever use USB and the PodMic if you think you'll use XLR at some point (I prefer the Profile's sound over the PoMic personally).
I use Linux, and have always hated the need for extra software for mic adjustments.
It is nice to find a quality entry that does it all on mic and just plug n play!
Will be picking up soon!

@@tombuck I just saw the Neumann km184 - another mic wish 😂🤣😂
My wife keeps asking me why I have so many mics, and yet - only have one mouth. 😂🤣
What a great review! And at 10:19 I want to thank you for realizing that youtube is seen by people around the world. Cheers!
Honestly it's been the most helpful thing in me trying to learn the metric system 😁
Looking forward when this is available!
Should be VERY soon😉
It's coming out early 2023- somehow I was lucky enough to do the "exclusive" first look/overview. 🤯
:) Oh, and the puns are great. lol
THANK YOU! It really means a lot to hear this. I appreciate the kind encouragement!
This microphone is such a huge value for money! I chose it over the NT Usb Plus
Can you please give some feedback on this microphone? I am planning to buy this. Thanks!
So happy to hear this! Thanks for the kind words, and congrats on getting your setup dialed in!
Awesome sound! I ordered one for me after this review. Thx for the detailed review!
Wow, this mic sounds great! How the mic handles plosives borders on alien technology. Here Sennheiser, take my money!
Yeah, they definitely know what they’re doing!
Good guy to you and Sennheiser. It looks like a great mic, but supporting music programs is super important and I'll definitely be supporting them.
I love the idea of things that simply work, a great thought relayed in a great video. I love that boom arm
The boom arm really surprised me haha! I definitely didn't expect it to be as nifty as it is.
@@tombuck I don't need it....i don't need it... I dont need it
Great video and first time visitor! I enjoy your style. Will purchase it when it comes out.
Thank you Marcellus! Should be available very early 2023.
Wow thank you! It really means a lot to hear this!
@@tombuck But what do you think when you compared with VO-7U ? In my opinion super cardioid dynamic is much better for isolation background noise right ?
I'm a film student and I can't wait for this thing to come out for voice-overs!!!!!
Should be available REALLY soon. Like...before the milk in your fridge goes bad. 😉
@@tombuck I really hope so. I saw this mic months ago and I‘ve been waiting since. I even told a friend about it who is head technician at a TV channel and who is running out of MK4 Digital mics. Many people are counting on this mic to finally come out.
Now that's an outstanding first entry.
Dude this is what I have been wanting! Plug and play with good quality! Thanks!
wow can't wait. hope it's released before march
I don't know the exact date, but I think it's relatively soon!
I really love this mic, I have been using it with a tabletop stand I bought from Amazon. I got it on sale for $99.
Oh nice, that's a great deal!
This is one of the few microphones that isn't limited to corporate software restrictions. I'd love onboard DSP, but the need to have software to manage it on a work laptop probably wouldn't be allowed.
Absolutely. Some of those bells and whistles can be very nice when done well, but there's really something to be said for simplicity.

Awesome review ❤️ happy to hear about donating microphones to educational programs ❤️❤️😎
Super excited for all of them to get shipped out!
Thanks for the excellent video, I was about to purchase another very popular USB mic in the same price range, but the Sennheiser is a no-brainer, excellent choice.
Glad it helped! The Profile has held up very well for me over the past year!
Wow, really grateful for this video. I’m absolutely getting this mic!!! Love your whole setup, and of course the puns 😂
So glad it was helpful! I'm working on a video for this week that compares the Profile to as many other mics as I could find.
It did "sound" like a great idea! Great review Tom and love your request for the donations to schools!
High school media teachers are awesome 😉
I myself typically prefer XLR mics because of how much variety there is and how much I do enjoy tinkering with interfaces and stuff, but sometimes you just need a simple option, and I also definitely love having something to recommend to people that doesn't require anything else other than a USB cable 👍
I didn't do anything at all to the audio, so this is straight from the mic. Although I have been a bit congested, so I think I sound a tad more nasally than normal, but that's not the mic's fault.
@@tombuck, it sounded great! I hope you feel better soon!
This is where I need to say to myself:
I don't need another mic!
I don't need another mic!
I don't need another mic!
I think it sounds really good. If I didn't already have two RODE USB mic's - I'd give it a shot. Great review as always Tom!
There are so many awesome options out there, it's really awesome.
Awesome. Thanks for the review!
Glad it was helpful!
I think this is the one!"
And, of course, not available yet.
Great overview. Signed up for release date. Really hope they sell it in EU at launch. Thanks Tom! ❤️
Excellent job. Thank you.
Thank you too!
Sennheiser has come to the USB party with a gift that makes everyone else seem unprepared. So good. Sennheiser just gets microphones right.
@0:22-0:27 damn that looks so good!!!
Anamorphic lenses are REALLY fun!
i want, no . . I NEED THIS MIC!
My guitar is a Fender seafoam green Tele. Love it to death.
Thank you for the great video - I'm purchasing mine today! Can you please tell me what in-ear monitors (headphones) you are using?
I've been using the Sennheiser IE100 pros and I like them a lot. IEMs are tricky though because everyone's ears can be so different. For me, these are the first ones I've found that don't come loose while I'm talking. They're super comfy and stay put, which is perfect.
@@tombuck thank you so much for your guidance!!
Not the prettiest mic (if that matters) but it sounds good and the handling noise rejection was mighty impressive given the price
I actually really grew to like the style of it once I used it. But I think that might also be related to the build quality- it's super solid and that definitely impacts how I feel about it's design.
Physical controls! Dials…! On the mic! Not sure I heard much of what you said after that 🥹
😍 This may sound odd but having the maximum number of physical knobs, dials and switches is important to me when I choose what hardware to travel with or even bring when switching between local workspaces. So yes, this will get a look in.
Physical controls are ALWAYS a win in my book!
Great job as usual Professor 👌🏻
I look forward to getting one for my son who wants to level up his Zoom audio.
Thank you Rick!
Thank you.
Yep, that's be a great simple setup! Closest really can make some of the best recording booths 👍
@@tombuck thank you for your help.
Wow! This sounds amazing. Thank you. 👍🏼
The Microphone sounds great, Awesome collab with Sennheiser, And thank you for showing us all that positive comments exist and what they sound like 😜👏🏽 Positive comments are not a myth 🤣
Positive comments only please 😬
Absolutely brilliant as always.
Thanks so much Mark!
After I listened with earphone.... dryer sound s very clear on the background..... Maybe Sennheiser will also dive into the Dynamic world in next years..... actually I had decided on Deity but after I digged Deity reviews… there are 2 big issues
1 - after restart It needs unplug-plug cycle
2 - delaying on garage band on vocals and monitoring with earphones 😑
Still Couldnt find a dynamic mic 😑
It Does sound really good. Can you do a close ABC between the 50/416/and that mic?
I'll definitely need to do a follow-up comparison video!
perfect. I'd been looking for a good quality USB mic.
Another great review, Tom...although a cursory search today resulted in no current distributors for this microphone. Is this a pre-production model? It's not even on their website yet.
I was somehow lucky enough to share a “first look” before the mic is released early next year.
can’t wait for this to be available. is the release date known or did I just miss that part in your video?
There's no exact date yet, but sometime in early 2023 👍
@@tombuck nice, thanks dude!
@@tombuck oh wow, that's great additionele info!! Really much appreciated, Tom 😃
I need one of these immediately!
I have one more question. What do you think, if we connect the sennheiser profile usb microphone arm to the podmice usb, would it carry it? How is the carrying capacity? By the way, I follow you from Turkey. I liked your detailed reviews. I subscribed to your channel
Thanks for the kind words! The Sennheiser arm is nice, but it is quite lightweight so I don't know that it'd be good for travel or as a moving boom.
It sounds so good! If you were to pick a mic which one would you recommend the Elgato Wave 3 or this Sennheiser Profile?
Thanks for the video!
You honestly can't go wrong either way. The Sennheiser has more physical controls, which I like, but it would really come down to whichever one you think would sound better on your specific voice.
Pretty mic. A bit muffled/muddy at some lower frequencies, but does well with sibilance.
does this mic work with a smartphone too?
Yes, if it can accept USB C 👍
I was looking at another USB microphone that, with the gain up, it was still very crisp.
This is on my eye now! A winner!
It definitely is! Once I got it and started using it, I kept liking it more and more. Tough to argue with a simple, solid mic.
That's pretty good background noise rejection! Seems like it would be a good choice for a bedroom streamer.
I would get this in a heartbeat if it was a dynamic mic.
I want it…can’t wait to see when and where it will be available here in Canada 👍🏻
I wished it was available when I was buying a microphone for my UA-cam channel. 😢
