本作「Allure of the Dark」は、ゲームアプリ「メメントモリ」のサービス開始1周年を記念し、“ラメント”（キャラクター専用ソング）として書き下ろされた楽曲。
Daokoが「メメントモリ」に楽曲提供するのは昨年リリースされた「燐光」以来2作目となる。
作曲を担当したHIDEYA KOJIMAによるエレクトロニックかつ壮大な旋律と、Daokoの力強くも儚げな歌声が、ハーモニウスに組み合わさった楽曲に仕上がっている。

サビの１回し目のラストの浮いた感じがめちゃくちゃ好きです。この曲と燐光はずっと聴いていられる。

黒イリアの暗黒感があってとても好きです。
メインの音が基本♯の音で黒鍵盤(暗黒的な意味合いで)なのを狙ってやって作ってるのだとしたら天才すぎる。
