Since this trip is affected by the weather, how about a weather-related destination! The National Weather Museum and Science Center in Norman, OK and also visit the Twister movie museum in Wakita (from the movie) on the way there!
I have been consistently voting for the southern most choices in each of the branches of this journey SPECIFICALLY to help you avoid as much of the cold weather as possible. But I think your visiting the Civil Rights Museum was definitely an important part of your journey. My mother has been talking about wanting to take us there since we were younger. I still have the book they released for this museum. Now we’re adults in our 30’s and 40’s. Might be a good idea to take her, along with my kiddo. So glad you got to go and share your visit with us!

Hey Jacob… sorry about the snow here in Arkansas… normally I could tell you a bunch of things to check out in hot springs but with the weather it’s pretty much impossible to say what’s open or not… as for your next stop it may be a little treacherous to get to but you should go south to the the big easy New Orleans
Mardi Gras is about to start. It’s something to experience once but may be overload. Plus NOLA has been getting more unsafe each day. I live an hour south of NOLA and we don’t even go there much anymore. Sad really. City has gone downhill.

My son lives there and I'm in South Florida so I haven't had a chance to go visit yet so I would love to see the area from your eyes.

Get some rest Jacob! Traveling tired, especially in bad weather is not a good idea. You could investigate the Boggy Creek Monster in Fouke, AR or Quigleys Castle and Pivot Rock in Eureka Springs, AR. Not too far so might make for an easy day.
Have you ever heard of or been to Terlingua TX? There is also Big Bend national park and a town called Presidio in the area. Also the Marfa lights and prada marfa.... so much to discover and so little time. As always, thanks for great travel videos!

He is TRULY one of our heroes from my era of the turbulent sixties n seventies, and being from Detroit and a Hippie Protestor, I have Dr. King, Jr. stenciled in my heart n soul, n I was an upper middle class white teenage girl when I experienced all the turmoil, the 1967 Riots in Detroit, the Black Panther Party n the Yippie Political Party, all things which made me who I am at 66 yrs old today!! Thank you, Jacob the Carpetbagger, for showing us the First Civil Rights Movement Museum in Memphis, Tennessee!!! RIP, Dr. King, Jr.!!!!

I can't imagine that I could have handled that and I would have had to stand up for people and standing right by MLK Jr! What a wonderful man and purpose!
