Just look how supportive her husband is, even though their parents went ballistic, they never let that bother them and that's because they love each other, I really love this kind of relationship, so so much
i hate the way people think of c-sections as a swift thing, "let's just get a cesarean" - no. it's not simply a way to avoid pain. it is a major surgery that carries a lot of risks. not only that, but its healing time as well, which lies at an average 6 weeks of basically not doing anything, maybe not even carrying your own child. that's not how you want to spend your first weeks after having a baby.
Absolutely agree. I have had 2 c- sections because of complecations and both the times I almost collapsed on the OT table because I was having mild reaction to the anesthesia.. it's not a simple thing people don't understand this. Let alone the unbearable pain and burning u feel from the stiches after the meds wear off
I agree. I had an emergency C-Section with my 2nd child and had pneumonia afterwards. Imagine coughing and sneezing after. The unbearable pain in the wound together with the constant worry that the wound might open up after too much coughing. Sadly, some doctors suggest this to the moms-to-be as the best option for their birth plans.
Well there are many options to lessen your pain during normal delivery like walking epidural❤Everyone should be made aware of advancements in medicine✌🏼
@@mirroruniverse9331 Yeah...I am a Pain physician basically...So I know the Pain and ways to alleviate it...That's y I suggested epidural which gives drastic relief that is unbelievable❤
@@nishasekar3328 Yeah I saw another clip of a real Korean birth and the doctor proposed to make a C-section in order to relieve the mother's pain. I don't think epidural is thing in south korea..

I do not like the way Dong seok has been treated the whole time by anyone. And now his judgemental, busybody "friends" are criticizing and pressuring him to do his selfish cold mother's bidding just because she's old and sick. I'm an old woman and I've made some mistakes but I'm repentant and sorrowful. How dare the old biddy boss him around.
I just watched episode 19 and I'm so mad at Dong seok's mother and the way the writer is expecting him to react to the old biddy. I'm not going to watch episode 20 because the preview suggested that their old wounds heal. How? By him getting all gooey? No thanks.
No me gustó. Fue lo único que me dejó un sabor amargo. Pensé que era la única con éste sentimiento.
Interesting how in Japanese dramas the dad is there for the delivery (despite their long historical tradition to not be present) but in korean ones they take the mother away. I wonder if it's like that irl.
You never know some people suffer from pain/contractions more than 12hr which makes them feel like going for C-section and putting an end. Either way, it's their business people better not control others with their theories
Also, Man-su's mother is a piece of work. They described her as loving and supportive. That's crazy. She said horrible things from the get go to her granddaughter...first threatening to abandon her, running down her parents and then frightening her with the death and abandonment of her parents and calling her own son a liar. If that's what Koreans think a loving mother is, I'm glad I don't live there. That's some nasty Mama material.

Maybe they don’t offer alternative things like Epidural injections etc so a C Section seems like the best solution. Also I think the poor guy is freaking out because he’s watching his beloved girl in terrible pain and he can’t help her with anything. Most men like to think of a solution and then put it into action but of course with child birth they can only be a support which is really hard to do.
In Asian countries. Doctors don't like to wait for the natural labor process which is pretty slow Also, due to conservative society and also a bit misogynist, many women still don't know where exactly vagina is , the never use tampon or like products , they don't have awareness or confidence to themselves gather info on how to have painless labor, and also, due to lack of reproductive knowledge on new technologies many are unaware of epidurals also, so these women also feel better if they don't witness their self-pain or childbirth which they are very scared of due to lack of proper knowledge of childbirth process, and themselves select caesearean only out of insecure mentality irrespective of whether they experience painful or painless natural labour I see this trend common in Asia , where women and their relatives even lack knowledge on labor , birth control, body control, etc. Due to lack of sex education and lack of awareness on new technologies or diet that induce painless birth But in europe, more ppl are starting to support normal delivery over c section, breastfeeding over formula milk, etc.

Is having a C-section just to avoid the pain a legit thing in Korea? He keeps saying that to her, but here (Texas) a doctor would not do a C-section unless it is medically necessary, "avoiding the pain" is not a justifiable excuse for what is a major surgery. Don't want to deal with labor pain? Simple, it's done the same way as not murdering your baby (abortion) is; use birth control or don't spread your legs.
C section is not "just a way to escape pain". It helps prevent a lot of major risk factors, specially if a mother has weak bones or there is a chance of breaking the pelvic joints which sometime leave mother's on wheel chair. And it's definitely not true that c-section is completely pain-free it's a major surgery which leaves mother's on beds for weeks sometimes. Definitely not the way u wanna spend the time after having a newborn.
