The KIA was the result of 'friendly fire' when a Canadian team was lit up by a friendly Kurdish machine gun nest that had mistaken the movement of the Canadians as ISIS fighters moving under the cover of darkness.
No electrocuted and fell. The Kurdish one involved cansof not jtf2
@@redly88 JTF2 is under CANSOFCOM. CANSOFCOM is a command not a unit.
The friendly fire incident was with a CSOR soldier. The tower incident was a JTF2 soldier who got electrocuted on a tower and fell off.
No combat deaths in JTF2.
Rest in piece Drew
@@redly88 I think you mean CSOR 😉
But you're right, and thanks for clarifying. I thought they were talking about killed in action, and I had only heard about the CSOR guy.
(I don't know anything about the guy who got electrocuted)
Crazy. My boss was a marine and Kurds with machine guns opened up on their truck
these guys are real life ghosts, i think most canadian citizens are completely unaware that we house one of the most ELITE military units in the entire world, mad respect to the guys in JTF2.
Facts, insanely secretive too
Totally agree,,we truly are what the SEALs strive to be..silent professionals
@tinmanbbqgregorytinman7652 nah man. Our Seals have clearly decided they don't care for that motto anymore.
@@tinmanbbqgregorytinman7652 you can’t be quiet all the time when you take the most dangerous missions jtf2 is elite but there’s levels to this cmon now
The US is like china and russia in military. We have a lot of bodies and resources so make a lot. Hence a lot of special forces.
Canada and Israel don't have a lot of bodies. So each soldier is stupidly well trained in stuff that other countries have multiple forces for.
I mean think about it. The seals kill some terrorists, we all hear about it . JTF2 has killed more terrorists than any other units. Period. They don't talk about it.
They fight alongside seals and delta in joint missions but are very quiet. You only hear about their exploits from other US or UK special teams. Why do think that is?
Canada has that as a way of being. You mention the world wars for example. And every one goes US. Because US is loud. What they don't tell you is that the most feared country was Canada! They were secretly basically committing war crime level devastation... and remained secret.
It's easy to remain secretive. Just teach your seals to be a lot less propagandy.
As a Canadian I can assure you that it takes a special breed of person to join the Canadian forces. There is no culture of praising the military up North. So the people who join are the ones that truly do it because they want it, badly. They serve with honor and bravery and not thanked enough for their service!
Completely true, we need to learn to show some love to our soldiers
We also have the best trained army world. Don't mistake that for the strongest army. We just simply have the best quality soldiers .

Something I have found out about Canadians is that they are incredibly nice, polite and have great humor. You don’t want to wrong them though, as they seem to be driven by a sense of internal Justice. I always joke it’s why hockey players are so nice, yet have the ability to flip a switch.
I’ve been to many places in my life. Every continent except for Antarctica and South America. I must really like Canadians seeing as I’ve made four more of them 😂
I've read the letters my great grandfather send during ww2 and one of the letters from the Normandy invasion period was him ranting about a Thompson he found on an American corpes and how much he liked that weapon but wished it had more bullet in the magazines bc he liked the automatic fire..... he definitely got a ton of bodies before his demise bc that letter was def a bit manic 😂

Wait so how many wars have they directly fought?
Think about this. This isn’t an organized uniformed military we’re up against. Our casualties will be much higher if that was the case
JTF2 are in Ukraine, it's well known fact.
not to detract but I wonder how many Canadian special operation guys there were in the fight in comparison to US or British.
Well let’s put it this way, the movie Tears of the sun is based on a true story, but instead of Navy Seals in Nigeria it was JTF2 in Columbia, same mission different setting expect none of the JTF2 guys died like the Navy Seals did in the movie. also America has used the JTF2 over their own American Special Forces that they deemed too dangerous so they sent in the Canadians instead, JTF2 is legit definitely on par with SAS, Delta Force and all the other best of the best Tier 1 Units.
That’s because the American special forces are the ones going on the most dangerous missions
Not just them, the British, Aussies, Polish and NZ.
Awww, show us on the doll where JTF2 hurt you…
I live right near Dwyer hill , one of my sons friends dad is a member there and I hunt with him now. These guys are unbelievable with a gun.
Keep thinking Canadians are all about maple syrup and moose. It works in our favor
What about the one where the operator was listed as falling off of a tower/electrocuted? The family was all up in arms because they swore he was a KIA and wasn’t in Canada, rather deployed, at the time that he died?
Canadians are natural born soldiers. Too bad turdo is doing his best to end that part of our heritage.
I truly believe one of the main reason is because of all the hunters and sport shooters. That's why we were feared by our enemies Soon we'll get to a point where the new recruits will have never seen let alone touched a rifle. Damn, long guns are, or should I say was, a part of our culture.
Our new gun laws just sicken me. I'm sure American collectors are just loving the influx of bring back war trophies being sent south to save them from being melted down.
I best stop here. My temperature is rising just writing this. If I go on, my blood will start boiling.

JTF2 are some of the best in the world.
@@LETSBESTRONGER i mean its hard to even know with how secretive they are
@@TeamRGHQ2Sports America has used JTF2 for operations that they deemed too dangerous for their own American Special Forces, so I think that’s all you need to know honestly, also Tears Of The Sun is based on a true story, but instead of Navy Seals in Nigeria it was JTF2 in Columbia and nobody died in the JTF2 which is probably why Hollywood changed it to Navy Seals so it’d be more believable on the KIA parts of the movie plus Navy Seals are more famous since they like the spotlight so much not very secretive.
I think I might of been there when that happened. They keep sending air support all day just herd F16s hitting the after burner the rumor was going around that one of our birds had crashed and they had to provide air support.
Had no idea Jake Baldino was in the special forces
JTF is badass no doubt, but have they had nearly the exposure to wartime operations as our boys have had?
No! They haven’t had any killed is because they don’t do everything American SF do and as much.
Agreed, I'm sure they're bad ass, buuuuut it's statistically impossibe to not have any KIA at some point. They must do a lot of sniper work, reconnaissance, and sneaking/ambushing type of work. I don't want to say that they haven't seen a lot of combat....but??? 🤔 The Canadians mind their own business anyway. The British and us Americans have definitely seen more combat. And if we're comparing Iraq/Afghanistan to previous wars, it wasn't nearly as bad as Vietnam, WWI/WWII, and the Korean War (as far as casualties go). Not downplaying any combat or PTSD that these heroes have gone through. *They also have gear to protect themselves, unlike when we were in Vietnam and before (my dad is a Marine Vietnam Vet with two tours). Curious what he thought set them apart just luck or mindset ?
Canadian infantry vet here, I've done a lot of work with them. I would say what sets them apart is honestly just the ridiculous amount of mission planning and intelligence done before any and all missions. After this podcast came out, some people were under the impression that they must have not been in as much combat. I'll tell ya something... JTF2 stacks an ABSURD amount of bodies. Dallas alone has put well over 100 bad guys in the ground. Now, I'm not saying that US special operations are expendable, but there's a fucking lot of them. JTF2 only has a few hundred door kickers. Less now with the war being over. They are extremely valuable assets. Sorry for the rambles I am incredibly stoned. Basically. The answer is.... A lot of skill, a lot of planning, a lot of training, and fucking ton of luck.
Shawn Ryan you need to get a member of the Australian SASR
Why? They're shit and talk shit. They had restricted ops and look over the fence to think they're some T 1 unit. They're not all that well liked by other western units as they're know as sas cats.. as scardie cats.
They aren't a professional unit and spend more time fucking up and embarrassing their government, dreaming of roles they wish they could do, drinking taking drugs and having gangbangs in country.
Oh FYI their 2cdo got in more gun fights then them but hey, infantry could have been carrying out the work
Ask them how good they. They will tell you how good they THINK they are.
@@timmybobby4052 idk man, I know a few Aussie combat engineers and they’re bonkers.
ELITE!
"I'm alive, I just don't have the lower half of my body anymore"
That surely means that they don’t actually get involved in that many firefights etc. it doesn’t matter how good you are, sometimes in CQB you can kick a door in and there will be someone immediately firing on the door. It’s happened to SAS and SEAL teams multiple times. Especially during task force black in Iraq. Also on Ops in Afghanistan. This tells me - if true- that JTF2 don’t operate at the same tempo or see as much action as other tier one SF.
Sometimes shit goes sideways abd your reacting not acting
You never know dude
Lmao JTF2 was spinning up a lot In Afghanistan US generals at times preferred to send the Canadians stated in multiple reports. If you don’t know best not to spew nonsense
Like a CQB in broad daylight. Only happened to me twice but That’s the absolute worst. It takes a ton of the advantages away from us and the skill gap vs luck is scary. There’s a reason we’re operate at night and hopefully if we ever go to war with another country that has night capabilities on a large scale we have something better up our sleeves to “own the night” again.
