Hey Sherwood Hockey!!! I just purchased the Code TMP1 (one step down from the TMP Pro) based off this man's review! Sponsor this man or at bare minimum send him free twigs to review so he doesn't end up divorced! TMP1 is a little heavier than the Pro @ 405 grams (85 flex). Same 25k Carbon Fiber throughout, same blade core, same grip, and same new taper. It's either the way they lay the carbon or the resin infusion process that's different in the Pro that adds up to the slight weight savings. This is how all the manufacturers should be doing their top 2 sticks of their lines. I got it for $180USD and it'll be here Wednesday. I cannot wait! Boomer great video as always bud. Hope you and your family are all doing well.

I got a chance to use this in warmup and it was super snappy with the shots. The balance was superb and stick handling was really crisp. I did prefer the feel of stick handling with my SL Prostockhockeystick 85 flex (Kind of like handling something with bare hands VS wearing light gloves). The TMP would need more cradling for a pass to avoid bouncing off, but that just translates into wicked shot power! Personally, I would slap some Bladetape on the TMP for extra grip and you've got yourself a winner (still almost 2x the price though!)
I'm looking to get this, bauer nexus sync or warrior covert qr5 and maybe ccm jetspeed ft5. My buddy is an equipment manager for a minor league team in Norfolk
Great to see that there's a cheaper alternative and that Sherwood is finally making some good sticks! The Code V was terrible, so the TMP seems to be an infinitely better upgrade.
went from a bauer 2N pro that got stolen, to budget ccm jetspeed for until i had the money for a new stick, then got the code tmp pro and i’ve had no durability problems, great stick
Justin, very interesting to see the Sherwood TMP challenge the high-end sticks from CCM - and even at a discount (I'm sure Sherwood would charge more if their brand was more widely recognized or markedet). Regarding your experience of the TMP vs. the FT5 Pro, it's evident from the video that the shots from the TMP (and the P28 blade) goes higher than the FT5 Pro (with the P29 I understand was the spec). I tried the P28 vs. the P29 on two otherwise identical sticks and found shots from the P28 to go noticably higher, so perhaps blade curve differences explaing this as opposed to differences in stick technologies (and, not saying this is what's said on the video, it's just an observation). Similarly, as for flex, would it be possible that flex 75 simply is the better flex for your type of shot as opposed to flex 80 on the FT5 Pro (that even might be a bit stiffer, given the added durability? I'm mentioning this as we actually tried measuring the stick flex for a number of a number of sticks with exact same specs and one of them felt noticably stiffer .. so manufacturing may produce "black swans"). I'm sure CCM, Bauer etc. measure the asked flex ratings for all sticks for pro players, but I'd be surprised if this part of the quality control is actually rigorously enforced for the broad consumer market (again, highly speculative, but it was quite interesting to check those sticks ..).
Hey dude both the sticks are p28. Can’t stand the p29 lol. So any change in shot height was just shooting style or who knows. The flex on the tMP is what a would call a more rigid and recoil heavy75. I have had 75 flex sticks before that feel like noodles that lack shot power due to over powering the flex. It’s not the case here you get everything out of the stick with the tMP. The flex ratings can’t comment directly other than I go up and down flexes a lot in ccm and 80,85 definetly are different as I have one of each in the FT5Pro. The 85 still generates the most power.
I got this stick in their lowest senior flex, kinda regret getting that light a flex although it plays well in games, I think I could have gone 75. Rekkers were on clearance so I got a 75 & 85 to try out.
Throwing puck feel in the TMP wins. If it’s shot only the jetspeed wins. I see the challenge. If a TMP is available it should be much cheaper so for overall win the tMP is it
Great video! It's nice to see a cheaper alternative that can hang with the $400 sticks. You think the slight lack of power vs your ft4/ft5 pro has to do with it being a 75 flex? I'm honestly shocked you didn't snap it after a few clappers lol
It’s surprisingly durable. I think they dialed back the shot power by keeping it at 400 grams and a bit more durability. The 75 had great recoil for such a low flex similar to the Lxpro. Where as some sticks ( hyperlite ) loose shot power as you go lower. I had a 75 flex hyperlite that was pretty meh Awhile back
