Dunno, i kinda see it as fkd up. The dog was walking the green mile... Most humans would rather die naturally so why do we assume we're doing animals a favor by murdering them . Euthanasia is for the human, not the animal. After working for the spca i realized how wrong it actually is to murder our best friends. The most worrying part is that it normalizes the practice. You might not believe in the slippery slope, but im in canada. It started with terminally ill people to same day approval for mental illness people. A system that will inevitably be abused... So consider all that when u watch that dog walk passed those people. Yeah the dog was in pain, but that doesn't mean it wanted to die.

@@Whyareyousofoolish I mean, I agree with you that the focus is the animals, but I have to say on my J ewish channel I get comments like this all the time from the other side, usually anti-I srael. And I don't get hurt about it--it's from people who are legitimately wanting to remind people of the dark, of their cause, even if it's just tangentially relevant because I happen to be talking about J ewish history.
So why should it be any different if someone wants to point it out the other way, of Pa lestinian abuses, in a thread about 9 11? It's all facts. It's all animals--we are all animals, too, after all.
Yet one more reason we should try to understand each other, in our humanity, from all sides.
The sheer happiness of "I CAN LOOK THIS ELEPHANT IN THE EYES! :D" made me smile
Got me with “fluff around and find out,” because my daughter who avoids cursing tends to replace f*ck with fluff. She’s absolutely adorable and always makes me smile, so a comment that reminded me of her was bound to do the same.
Brittney the dog’s sendoff nearly crippled my emotions as it shows that dogs are truly angels in disguise.
Fun fact, they may pronounce it Britney but the name Bretagne is Britain in French. A really convoluted way of naming your dog
Bretagne like Bologna
@@jpteknoman No, Bretagne is a region of France, known as Brittany to the english speaking world. You were one google search away.
Dog was walking and smiling. Seems crazy to put her down? Just give her pain meds until she dies wth?
I had to pause at 16:12 for a wee cry, that must have been heartbreaking for Andre! In that moment and also Every time he sees that pic! She must have loved him so much to be that ill and dying but still wanting to be cuddled up to her adopted dad at her end!😢 it’s a heartbreaking sight!
i damn near teared up on that part
@@viewer29flySame. That must've been painful, can't even imagine how it felt
Truly, them tears were sliding
@@viewer29fly😊😅😊
I teared up too. He cared for this gorilla like his own child and I can't even imagine how hard it must have been to see her health deteriorate. At least he was there for her the whole way and passed knowing she was loved so much. I hate that she was a victim of poaching but, I'm glad she was put in the care of this man.
I brightened up the instant I saw Chada. Love that bear. I wish the sanctuary could sell plushies of her as a fundraiser or something. I'd love to hug her (safely, without distressing her).
Same, Chada with the branches did me in 😅
@@Userapm3690 Her emotional support stick is everything. 💜
Yep folded when she was playing in that pool
This is my introduction to Chada, and I'm smitten! 🥰🌹
Dammit... The gorilla spending her last moment on the chest of her handler / Mother.... That got me!!!
OHHHHH, the sad image of the dying ape. So hard to see but so beautiful and so touching.
While it is sad to see a living being die, she died comforted in the arms of her mother💖
Reminded me alot of the Painting "Ivan the terrible and his son Ivan". The agony of loosing a child, man this had me crying for a few minutes
I think this won the category Photojournalism in National Geographics Wildlife Photographer of the year 2022.
4:47 "We really don't deserve dogs"
That broke me. Got a big ass smile out of me.
Same 😭
3:28 it was to adorable
12:50 broke me
Yep, cant beat dog man
Yep, same part got me too
"I don't think y'all are really hearing me. I CAN LOOK THIS ELEPHANT IN THE EYE!!!"
I lose. 😂
Good lord, I lost at that exact spot. My man got the humor right.
13:15 - That's when I folded. The seal saying "Come over here." Got the biggest laugh out of me
The hyena got me. As a person who lives with disability, that was the most special moment for me. ❤
I'll tell you hyenas are the serious bad arses of the savanah!!
The dog getting the hero's send off brought tears to my eyes.
i started crying right at that part too
My eyes tried to use hydro pump
Ugh yeah I broke at that!!!
The fact they named Murphy's adopted son "Rocky" is a whole new level of wholesome! 💖
The last story got me, the photo of him comforting his dying daughter!
My soul was not prepared for the Crow speaking like he smoked for three centures and goofiest sounding seal I've ever heard.
look up the one that says hola (hello in spanish)
that one sounds 👹
I'm pretty sure that was the seal that was frequently around this one male researcher who the seal was mimicking. The seal was pretty spot on and spooked the researcher when it started "talking" 😆
The Crow
@@contortionyx he wasnt a researcher, George Swallow was a lobster fisherman from Maine, he hadn't even found the seal, his brother in law had. He just took the pup home and started talking to it like one does with their animals and he started to mimic his speech, he was handed over to the new england aquarium when his food intake became too costly for him. He was like a family dog and would take car ride trips apparently lmao
Ironically Poe thinking if raven talk was creepy, despite it feels comically wacky
Ok, the "aggressive footstool" was too much!
I've spat on myself.😂
Better spat than shat!
yeah i lost at that part too. lmao! 🤣🤣
Got me too.
I sneezed on myself
Yep, didn't make it past the snow leopard. So adorable and thank you for the video!
I didn't either
Same
Bro I didn't last 40 seconds.
Same here, and I've decided to save the rest of the video for later, for heaven knows we need to carefully ration our smile dosage in these trying times.
Me too
What an emotional roller coaster of a video. I'm gonna go hug my dogs now.
OMG I didn't know I met Bretagne as a kid. Her tail hit my face and she gave me kisses, when I was in elementary. I will always appreciate her and that memory.
🤔
@@thinkingofaname6233 oh stop, it's not that far fetched
The dude at the end is a legend. Made me cry.
I lost already, I couldn't help but smile when Murphy adopted Rocky. So cute and wholesome!
Same😂
Yeah, papa Murphy for father of the decade!
I couldn't even get past the Damascus Goat
@@JaneDoe_123nah. That's my dad
Same
the last story is sad and beautiful at the same time but the first clip is what made me smile
Dude that Bretagne story made me tear up. Dogs are the best.
When they all stood in the big line saluting to send her off as she limped into the clinic, I broke 😭
Same🥲
Im not crying YOUR crying!!..sniff..
Her name got me
Same
I managed to avoid cracking a smile the whole way through, but the snow leopard, the adoptive eagle dad, and the BLT bromance nearly got me.
Same, man. Same.
Same here
i made it through too, that character break is what nearly got me with BLT a close 2nd and the *SUBALUWA* in third
A couple of the stories were more sad than smile, but the BLT trio won a smile from me...oh my.
The Hyena plodding past the Lion like "you already fkn got me once" and the Lion is just chill about him wobbling past
i broke at 7:05, knowing that chada was exploited and abused for so long to seeing her now being able to play and enjoy herself made me tear up
Bretagne got me. I'll probably get got again before the video's over, but seeing a dog march to her last resting place past lines of saluting emergency personnel pierced my heart swiftly
I had to pause for a sec. Just recently had to lay my buddy to rest June 2023 and that GOT ME. Dogs really love us unconditionally.
It got me too. Had to pause in silence for the best girl
That's when I started to break too
Didn't break me but holy crap that was extremely hard.
I cracked a smile at "awareness of a kumquat." Evil, dude.
I don't get it.
@WilliamHouston Same
Kumquat are fruit
@@chee.rah.monurBKumqiats are a very bitter, very small, citrus fruit. It smells sweet... but if you actually eat them, they're bitter. Almost as if they're aware you're going to eat them. Almost.
Oh nooooo 15:09 got the smile out of me. Just happened....no control over it. That pic is just too cute
It was the puppies and the penguins bit for me. That broke me. My jaded, icy heart warmed up at that story
You should watch the movie "Oddball" then. It's all about those dogs and penguins
@@GearsOfCake
thanks for the movie recommendation. 🫰🫀
bro going out of his way to reach out to the source in order to get the full story on the hyena with the broken back is the type of commitment & dedication i love & admire about your work!
I lost at 12:07 they were just so dang cute! And BLT was the perfect adorable nickname for the group🥹
Lol...my initials are BLT so I think that's pretty damn cool! And I see them and can't help but to think of The Wizard Of Oz....lions and tigers and bears....oh my!
absolutley, my first thought was when dude said they were found in a box is "wait, didnt I see these three on Cartoon Network or smth?"
Every time I hear about that dog that helped at ground 0 (9/11) and at the hurricanes I can’t help but shed a few tears.
The "I can look this elephant in the eyes!" and calling a capybara a "guinea Big." lol That's what broke me. And the silverback gorilla at the end giving the humans a giant *SPLOOSH* before running away like one of my kindergarteners ABSOLUTELY would to me if we went to the pool.
I could see in that gorillas eyes that he was about to pull something lol.
And the the way he took off afterwards:
“Got you, humans! Hehehehehehe.”
1:22 big cats getting scared by their cubs is too cute.
ikr,
i'll just thought of something.... if a human scared a lion, tiger, or bear.
they WILL be throwing -hands- paws and claws.
but for their young they over react with the jump. "oh you scared me, little one"
Especially snow leopards they're so silly
It was Chada that got me. Something about a old bear whose been through hell and back finally being happy warms my soul.
You know what? That hyena is a badass. Still going even though it can’t use half its body. It’s actually really inspiring. No matter what, never surrender, never give up.
Omg Murphy 😭 You're an incredible father, sir ❤
The sign that said he was incubating a rock and the keepers wished him luck had me on the GROUND and then it got so wholesome when he actually got a baby.
American Dad🇺🇲
I lived down the street from noahs ark sanctuary and seen the tiger and bear still there. There was a statue of the lion. It saddens me that the tiger passed, leaving the bear alone. The bond the 3 shared was amazing.
He must be very depressed now as his friends have passed away. Just hope if the bear stay well till finally he must left this world
I'm not ashamed to admit I failed this challenge of not smiling right-off-the-bat and by the end I definitely had tears in my eyes. Loved the whole video 😊
Same! All the feels!
just 5 minutes in a locked room with the people who did that too the bear.
i swear some people.
Natue has such beauty in it. May the Wild Mother protect those you can't themselves and strengthen the one who protect the weak. 🌻
I don't care about losing, animals make me happy as hell no matter how weird or scary they are. You'll never dappen my love
fr! I saw the first clip (which I guess was supposed to be weird or scary or both) and I just grinned like no one else's business
Folded at Murphy , what a brilliant father 😢♥️
I know! I was a GONER at Murphy. We love softie dads.
Same. I was fine when he was taking care of a rock. Like that’s kind of cute, but I won’t be smiling at that. Then they showed him raising a chick, and it was over for me.
@@nobody5333 I lost to a sign post that was hanging on his enclosure. I lost not to the sweetness of him taking care of a rock and an orphaned chick, no I lost to a sign post of all things.
I immediately smiled right off the bat, but bawled like a baby at the last story. Human or not, they were his babies and him holding his little girl when she passed is just sad and beautiful and so bittersweet. They knew they were loved. They had too!
"I CAN LOOK THIS ELEPHANT IN THE EYES" got me cuz it just randomly ended u never displayed that much volume or emotion before in the 4 years I've been watching u
6:00 From the instant I first saw this bear crawling out of her hole, I have never identified so hard with an animal in my life. She always makes me smile.
You just know it was one of those naps where you wake up fully rested, but completely disoriented and can't comprehend anything for a few minutes 😂
I couldn’t help but smile at 12:30 when balloo opened a happy birthday present
Murphy is not the step dad, he the dad that stepped up. Thank you for making me smile at work
Aw man being a dad is rough but sitting with her as shes dying after surviving against all odds broke me. Lots of tears in this one! Cutest lil penguins. 5 ft elephant making all short kings want to book a ticket for a selfie lol
The Firefighter salute to Bretange on her way out hit me. Just tears welling up, leaving me typing this with blurry vision... I mean I never win these challenges anyway but I wasn't expecting this much emotion to just well up outta nothing.
I smiled the instant he challenged us not to smile. but that salute moment had me sobbing while also laughing at how hard I was sobbing :D
Ok
I lost when he yelled “I CAN LOOK THIS ELEPHANT IN THE EYES!”. But I made it about half way through, I call it a win
We love(d) our BLT/Jungle Book trio!! Always a favorite attraction at Noah’s Ark!! It was so sad when Baloo was left alone without his brothers.
Yeah, no, the last one got me... I teared up when I heard you talk, and when I opened the tab to see, i got greeted by that picture of the gorilla and her "Father" during her final moments... Congrats, you made me ugly cry with that one.
"She spent her last moments in the arms of Andre Bauma. The same man who held her that night 14 years ago."
Okay, that made me tear up, especially after you told us that he grew to love those gorillas as his own daughters. 😢 I can't imagine how heartbroken everyone was, both human and animal.
hearing a crow talk with no context would put a therapist in a mansion lmao
So the bald eagle is not only the animal of bravery, courage and the United States, but is now also the animal of loving and protective fathers. Beautiful.
imagine being 120+ days into an active, televised genocide and still talking positively about the united states. fucking patsocs
5:49 Dude you made me cry. What a wonderful dog. Sounds like she helped so many people. And bless everyone who showed up to give her a send off. I’m autistic and I have a special place in my heart for anyone or any animal that helps children with the same or similar conditions. Good dog, good dog.
3:49 “Until you give Dog Torretto a reason”
Damnit, that got me 💀
I was doing so well and then seven minutes in Chada is hugging the stick and I just felt the sides of my mouth involuntarily curl upwards. Sooooo cute; couldn’t help but smile.
Wholesome casual geographic is the best casual geographic
Oh my god the last story has me in Tears, but also I love kind humans. I can’t imagine the heartache he felt having her die on his chest, but what an amazing thing that he gave her a sweet life and love
bro...that moment at 5:50 where they're all saluting the VERY good girl...
yeah...tears came ngl
Yea same here cried my eyes out :(
Same here. Crying again just thinking about it.

It's always the story of the BLT for me. It's a great story and a fantastic trio and I'll never not smile at it.
But there were a lot of really great familiar and unfamiliar stories here so thank you for compiling these!
No smiles were cracked, only feels were made. Though humanity has wronged many of the planet’s inhabitants, it is always touching to see that there are those who try to right the wrongs.
it truly warms my soul.
now its time to warm my food.

nah no replies how?
The mention of Murphy immediately got me because I knew where the story was going. I study zoology in college, so I heard of this amazing avian papa a while back. Always warms my heart.
