Find somewhere to park? You have to be joking. Last pre-op there was not a single parking space available anywhere at Southmead, Had to park half a mile away off site. It seems that this may be the NBT way of reducing waiting lists: the less fit drop dead of exhaustion trying to make it to the pre-op appointment. My advice? If you're not using public transport, get someone who doesn't mind waiting off site to drop you off and then pick you up afterward, especially at peak times.. Oh, and wear a mask. The waiting area is small, cramped and full of other patients who don't care about passing on their colds or COVID as they sneeze and cough.

It would have been more useful to know about the Pre Assessment information BEFORE my husband's pre Assessment appointment. He had his pre Assessment almost 3 weeks ago and his surgery in December. Although this film is very informative, it has been sent 3 weeks too late!!
