Glad you corrected the wiring behind the rafters. Also those little bumps on the side if the electrical boxes are so that you don't bury the boxes behind the drywall or paneling. Those bumps should touch the front side of the studs so the will sit just about 1/2" or so proud of the stud. Make sure you get a fan rated box/support for any ceiling fan. I also believe that there is a minimum height distance from the floor for a subpanel/breaker box. Probably a state or local code here so your electrician should know.

It's interesting to learn from your videos even if I have no expectation of ever using that knowledge. I also learned again that it's helpful to have a subcontractor with smaller fingers.

Two questions One you are going to staple your wires within 6 in of the box correct and your boxes don't have cable locks hopefully you didn't just break those tabs out thinking you were supposed to they were supposed to be pushed inward in the box so they grab the cable if it's trying to be pulled out also you can't just wire up a pigtail for what you think looks good there is a code and that code protects you with your insurance in case this little structure burns down. I do a lot of maintenance at work and when it is done it has to be inspected if we run new lines new circuits put in new sub panels like adding a new machine it has to be to code your life depends on it. Even when you run the wire into your shed it needs to go to a sub panel it's the way it works should be somewhere around eye level not down at the floor I know I'm getting very picky for a shed but this shed is going to be tied to your house and I would think a short in that shed could cost you an awful lot of money with your solar hookup in your house. And as always have a great day not being condescending really have a great day!!! Watch electrician U UA-cam channel and for poop and laughter Call your local building inspector and have them look at your wiring see what they says.

I love you guys doing this stuff this is awesome I do a lot of my own DIY. But wow I am seeing exposed wires from those push connectors that is not good. That sheathing should all come down up to the connector where no copper is exposed. But hey good work overall you saved a lot more money than it’s worth paying somebody to just do the same.

Did you wire in any GFCI (Ground Fault) plugs in your circuits? I didn't see any, but you're moving the camera pretty fast at past that first outlet near the source. You should have at least one at the beginning of the plug-in run(s), (and usually it's code to have them.) That way you're protected should you attempt to plug something in that shorts out. I have two circuits running in my garage/workshop, and each has a GFCI as the first plug.

Yep garage basement shed any place that you could stand in water and touch an outlet The first circuit should be a ground fault circuit most generally found in your bathroom.

Sorry for being a pain in the butt but I get paid to do this kind of stuff and everybody watches videos and thinks oh it's really easy it's not there is a way to do everything and everything should be done the right way especially when it comes to public safety I realize you're not making a public gym here but someday it'll be somebody else's gym or workshop That's why we run things to code so there's no wonder in what's up there hidden behind those walls now I am done questioning your work so the comments will stop now. Just remember you're not wiring this place for you You're wiring it for anyone else who will own it.

Unfortunately I didn't see the first video until now (2/15) and passed down at least 4 code violations then. Just noticed the his outlet/switch/light boxes are flush with the studs instead of proud to accommodate drywall or paneling. Hope he uses a code approved fan box later on.
