660S2 focus on the mid range is even more exceptional. But on busy tracks it feels like it’s lacking just a bit of openness in the high frequency area.
In song #9, I can hear some noise with hd650 but not with the S2. S2 might be good headphones for listening but not for mixing. Since I make music, I’m satisfied with the hd650 that I have now.
The 660s2 clearly has more detail and resolution, and feels more suited for more number of genres when compared with 650. Also this side by side comparison shows that the 660s2 adds a bit of stereo dimension to the music, which seems very mono on the 650
Hi interesting video in these headphones, however if you fit custom cans bass mod to your 650 , or in my case 6xx it does improve at the bass at the bottom end I also changed the ear pads for 1.25”-33mm thick pads .the 660s2 definitely better bass then the 660s which I also has thicker pads. But at I have ab the 6xx and 660s2 I think the bass just a bit better than 660s2, just waiting for thicker pads to arrive so do another ab to see how they compare. In the Uk hd650 is £229, 660s2 is £356, I got mine open box for £269. Regards mark
Amazon has 650 on sale for just under $300. Is it worth getting them if you have 660S2? I have 600, 660S and 660S2. I prefer S2 and then 600. But also like the detail of 660S for when I want more treble and less bass. From this comparison, I think 660S2 sounds better on every song.
@@kanou654 Yeah, I wish I had 650 when it came out. Now I don’t really see the point of getting it when it sounds so similar to 660S2. Yet, I prefer the S2 on most songs, if not on all of them. Towards the end of your video , I thought 650 sounds pretty interesting. At some point I might get this one too just for fun. I think it sounds great. Looks like the kind of headphones that will make a bad recording sound good. At the moment I’m having fun with Bose Ultra and Bowers and Wilkins PX8. Really love the bass on these.
on 06 and 09 songs realy hear difference. finaly. 660s2 nice upgrade.
09song 660s2 is perfect

song 10 - HD660S2 are more usable for classical music.

I think for the body fat, HD600 < HD650 < HD660S2. So maybe you can skip HD650, but it's worth having
