Full analysis based on my view of the story. After Tenpenny threw CJ out of the police car, Tenpenny called Smoke and told him to go there and wait for CJ, Big Smoke stayed in there and that’s the reason why he was surprised because he was unsure when Carl would get there. Tenpenny then gave the Ballas the order to destroy Smoke’s car or to potentially kill Sweet. Or if the myth is correct they intended to destroy the car to keep Smoke away from being accused of something (most likely drug dealing) so that Tenpenny can continue to use him like he used CJ.
ulown00b at 8:27, Smoke actually bought a grayish blue car, not a blue looking aztecas color because Rockstar accidentally made a typo on Smoke's new car, If you don't believe me then compare Smoke's car in the cutscene and the gameplay or the game's file. So that means Smoke's mistake car color does not have to do with the myth.
Can we talk about the fact, that this game is almost 20 years old and still got so mysterious inside of it. That makes GTA SA simply to an amazing game which is second to nobody 😍❤️

interesting fact: big smoke's car color is wrong (the glendale one) it was never meant to be the same color as the aztecas color, the original color the devs planned to be could be seen in cutscenes, however in gameplay, it is a different color, so conclusion. smoke being an aztecas percentage is decreased (kinda), since the car color is incorrect due to a typo.

so first off all Big Smoke was hiding in the kitchen to kill Sweet and as an excuse for not coming to the funeral is to watch over the grove. (he didnt bring it over his heart to shoot Sweet so he used the "you picked the wrong house" line as an aliby to kill him, when he came back [he was watching the house > perfect aliby to kill sweet thinking he was a robber). It was not planned for CJ to come back and Smoke didnt want to kill his friend. Then they went to the cemetary. I think that the ballas destroyed his car, so that the gang had no getaway (backup to kill sweet and at that point cj aswell, because the first plan backfired).
Someone discovered that the color of big smoke's car is not the one that it suppose to be. However, we can see a big difference between the car in cutsceens and in the game
the part in the Cemetery where the Ballas destroyed Smoke's Car, was probably planned, since we find out later in the game that smoke was doing business with the Ballas, If there was really something in the car's trunk, smoke could have told the Ballas to destroy the car to prevent the other family members to find out because when they left the cemetery before the Ballas destroyed the car, they were meant to use it.
First things first, it can’t be CJ’s mom (I forgot her name) corpse, cuz they went in the cemetery and it was her funeral! My theory is that the car had a time bomb which can be the reason why it exploded for no reason. Big Smoke lets CJ and Sweet get in the car first, then a Balla gang member in red Voodoo starts shooting at the vehicle which explodes pretending that they were the ones who cause the car to explode while Smoke and Rider pretending like they weren't responsible for their demise. This would've possible if it was well planned.
