As a childfree bachelor, I've never understood other men's desperate obsession with their "legacies." Nobody cares.
Nozzle
A lot of them just can’t accept the fact that 99% of them aren’t going to leave any kind of legacy, they see other men walking past them with their families every day and don’t know, care, or will ever remember them. Most people won’t, it’s the unfortunate truth many can’t deal with, and I understand the biological reason behind it, but still, they need to learn to just deal with it. Kudos to you.

I was able to help a child into college.
This was over 10 years ago. He was part of a Job Shadowing program with my work. He worked with me and would show me his digital work using a mouse but his works were lacking because of using a mouse.
He couldn't afford anything and at that point generic digital tablets was just starting to come out at reasonable prices. So, with me being a digital artist. I had plenty to spare.
I gave him one of my older tablets. Gave him an old Paint program and a link for online tutorials on how to use all the features.
He was grateful. Then was coming in with better products.
Thing is, I had to grade his performance which had to back to the school and under notes, I would note how is has an eye for art and he's wanting to take his art to another step.
Few months later he stopped showing for work. Then a year later he comes in giving me a hug and saying "thanks".
The school took note of my notes. Looked into him in what he was wanting to do with his future and he was able to gain a scholarship. He was currently attending college in the arts which was his dream.

I love this. I can leave a legacy by getting a building or park named after me, creating a film, creating a business that impacts people and being apart of the village as an auntie. I literally just had this conversation with people, especially with some of my guy friends that recently asked me to be the mother of their kids and claim that your bloodline will die if you don't have kids. First and for most leave your childfree friend alone. Secondly, I don't care about that, my mom is one of 11 (2 passed away) and my grandpa is one of 12. My bloodline is good, and if we die out at some point, we die out.

Remember, marriages are NOT destroyed by INFIDELITY. It's FINANCAL problems that cause the divorce to happen.
So true. Financial problems is the reason for alot of things in world😢
When people say "have kids to continue your legacy" they aren't talking about adoption. They are only talking about reproducing because they believe their genes are special and superior to others. Reproducing helps fuel their ego, that's why narcissists breed the most.

A child is a new human, a new soul, no matter what anyone says. A person has control over the genetics meaning the body of that human and how it might look like and the kind of health they could have and even this one not always have control over but the most important thing is the soul, no one has control over that and so a devilish bad kind of soul could pop up or a kind one, no one knows and no one can ever know, it's a serious gamble no one gets to choose from and they're busy highlighting it as the best thing, they're just going after the feelings with no actual awareness.

I don’t think that is remotely accurate, being polite isn’t significant enough for people to remember across generations especially in a society as socially isolated as USA.
