@@maxmc55_0 I fear that won't be for a while, a Hasbro is probably going to be lazy and just repaint the 86 and some Earthrise moulds again like cheapskates
Waves of repaints has been happening for years, and I dont mind it honestly. Sometimes the repaint is the better version of the mold, we just gotta accept that repaints will always happen
For the Rise of the Beasts toys they mentioned in an interview the delays really affected the toys to the point where they had to use concept art and it was too late to go back.
Pretty much the entirety of ROTB got shafted thanks to the delay of the actual movie from Paramount. The whole process of making a new figure takes about 18 months, 1 1/2 years. So Hasbro already planned out ROTB stuff to come out in '23 as the movie was set for '22. But Covid of course fucked everything up which pushed forward the movie, making the finished toys based on the art from 18 months ago and not the final product. They probably would've stopped it if they could but they couldn't cause everything was set months ago from when the movie finally released. At this point, they should just start remaking some figures. We have a listing of a new BBM Bumblebee which I hope is the VW version who sorely needs an update. Pretty much all of ROTB with the exception of a few like Optimus and Bee could use more redos like Scourge, Airazor, and Mirage. Lockdown could definitely use another go-around, we need a proper movie crankcase, AOE needs to be finished up at this point (tho it seems like they're going for it since we're getting a leader optimus), and a couple other things.
2:29 Megatron lost his tripple barreled canon in the fight with optimus and in the post credit scene he has a more D-16 alike fusion canon and besides these figures are more likely based on preliminary concept art like the rise of the beasts figures before them and even with previous movies like Age of extinction had alot of preliminary art based toys and studio series isnt a stranger to using concept art to make their figures to coincide with the movie because thats prime time for sales (no pun intended) sure its not the best but cut em some slack they tried their best with what they had.
I did talk about concept art in the video, yet again. They need to wait and not use concept art. Yes megs did loose his cannon, but the cannon he has on his SS is indeed the D-16 cannon, as the new one from the post credit scene was much thicker and short at the end
@maxmc55_0 maybe but by the same token hasbro loves synergy and wants the toys to be on shelves as the movie is coming out for better sales sure studio series is a less kid focused line but in the end their still considered toys like the mainline are
@@maxmc55_0the reason they had the d-16 gun instead of the Megatron Gun is because regardless of the gun he had in robot mode, he still transformed into the tank with the thin gun (d-16s gun)
Yes it is good we have access to those kits and stickers, but it shouldn't be up to the consumer to spend more money just to make something look better in a line where it's all about looking better
The thing with Studio Series is essentially getting figures to be as accurate as possible. Thats why some things, like ROTF Optimus or any ROTB figures, look different to the screen model. Some corners need to be taken, and sometimes the official renders arent even finalized by the time the figure goes into production. Thats why TF One Optimus has some oddities, hes based on concept art and he was likely a bit smaller before, despite him and Megs being some of the tallest modern Deluxes right now. Really, the accuracy statement applies the most to the 86 subline as opposed to the others. The 86 figures are insanely accurate, but thats likely because they can base it off many more sources compared to other figures. Figures like Hot Rod, Ultra Magnus, Optimus, Brawn, both Ratchet and Ironhide, and maybe even the upcoming Devastator well see in a few days, they have many different sources you can pull from to come up with not only a transformation but, in Devastators case, the best ways to pull off their oddities (parts in places theyre not supposed to be, hiding parts completely, combining functionality, etc). Bayverse and heavily-inspired concept designs struggle the most with that, because they themselves are the oddities that shouldnt ever work and have minimal sources to figure them out with. Ultimately Studio Series is kind of just a really good way to get pretty good figures of things we see in the movies, games etc, while 86 can focus entirely on bringing an older fans childhood (or childhood trauma) to life with near perfectly accurate figures
I feel the same way about that and I want voyager transformers one Megatron so much but I know they are never gonna put him out and that is just sad. 😢
I'm here thinking the different colour Scorponok were just that different colour Scorponok's, so Hasbro could slap names on each colour to sell the same figure like they so love to do!
3:06 -his alt mode was in the movie for a second. When he flew into the stadium, he transformed off screen then he landed on the platform.- That being said, I don't think an alt mode -(especially 1 with minimal screen time)- should make the robot mode less accurate. Edit: 3:20 Unfortunately they'll probably package his sword with another figure (if they're even making that accessory)
@@maxmc55_0 He flew into frame for a second in his alt mode, went off screen, transformed into his robot mode off screen, flew close to the crowd in his robot mode then he landed on the platform

I just wish they waited on making Prime and Megatron, it should have been Pax and D-16. I hope we get a version of Roadrocket hopefully she not a repaint of Elita-1 I pray shes a retool not a repaint with a diffrenet head. Sentinels orginal wings could have worked just make them like ramjets in alt mode.
I think the Scorponok repaints are based on concept art where there were gonna be variants corresponding to BW Scorponok’s past repaints but the movie just ended up copy pasting the Sandstorm variant
I gave up on accuracy decades ago. I'd have never replaced that VW bee if it wasnt a glass statue. Its just a lil adorable bay bee. Im still waiting for the most basic decepticon bay troops which shouldnt be more complex than bay shockwave with a slapped on gun for a cannon, but it hurts when they threw in reactivate. Let alone the speculated comics universe twitter'd into consideration.
the reason megatron comes with the wrong gun is because his actual gun doesnt show up in his tank mode in the movie, so they had to choose between an inaccurate robot mode or an inaccurate vehicle mode, and unfortunately they chose robot mode
I love studio series, but I honestly get your problems. My own problems with studio series is: They still use ball joints on deluxe class for the leg and arm joints, it's so fucking annoying because the just end up becoming really loose or easy to pop off because the ball joints start to weather away when you move them enough. I get that if the toy is too small then ball joints would probably be a better option but it's still really annoying to me, my TFBB jeep Bumblebee can't even stand anymore because the ball joints in his legs are so weathered away. The accuracy is a slight problem for me, but I don't really mind it though The Transformers One Optimus Primes lower torso is WAY to small compared to how it's supposed to, either that or his upper torso is way to wide The Transformers One Megatron's face looks really odd imo and the fusion canon being D-16's fusion canon is kinda annoying especially with how small the canon is. Like you said the TFOne Optimus and Megatron being deluxe class instead of voyager is really annoying I've not gotten any of the stuff from the 86 subline or gamer edition subline, though I'm probably going to get concept art Megatron eventually This are all my problems with studio series tbh, I don't mind most those problems except the studio ball joints.
You know what I never realized the sizes were so weird. I thought that TFOne Optimus was deluxe class because the Transformers were suppose to be smaller than usual. BUT APPARENTLY I WAS WRONG BECAUSE OPTIMUS IS LIKE 50FT FOR SOME REASON??????? WHY???? You're telling me if that Optimus goes to Earth and scans a truck all of that 50ft tall robot will turn into a truck that will be like 15ft tall????? Also it's kind of strange that Optimus is a deluxe instead of voyager when Orion should be deluxe.
Facts this is why studio series should have stuck strictly to movie stuff first instead of rushing inaccurate figures for new movies while neglecting stuff they need to finish
Studio Series really just became Main Line Series. But I will still stand by that the TF ONE figures are so far the most Accurate ones SS has made for Day One figures also I would rather get the SS than the Japan one It's Price and QC Issues and Lack of Detail are Not Worth it. If you want a good Accurate TF One figure get Yolopark and Blockess they are Amazing.
2:39 yeah I see your point. They should give us the exact correct model looking robot and accessories weapons. I'm guessing the company who makes them are just rushing through real quick. Just to get to Toys out there so they can get the money. It is a different country after all.
Im really glad I'm not the only one who share's these sentiments about modern SS. i just hope the recently revealed Crankcase is a step in the right direction back to finishing the Bay movies
My crazy crackpot theory as to why the tfone deluxes are scaled they way they are is so they synergize with blockees. Perfect size to scale with them and are pretty much as accurate as you'd need them to be, given the miners dont convert into anything.
1:42 I didn’t know the transformers one characters were that big bro. I thought they were smaller than at least bayverse. I ain’t complaining, I love my robots to be big, but I wasn’t expecting that big
I agree with you about your thoughts on Studio Series. All of the figures you mentioned in the first 5 minutes, I passed on. I only bought a few of ones in the rest of the video.
Studio series is about scale, the scale is meant for the characters in their own separate universes, so ofc we’re not gonna get a leader class TF One prime and Megs. And it’d be weird to get a voyager Orion Pax and a core class RotB Prime.
You say that yet TFO optimus should not be deluxe scale IF he's optimus, if it was Orion yes that would make sense. But the scaling they have in their own universe for these toys still don't make sense. And you say we're not gonna get a leader TFO Optimus...yet we did?
@@maxmc55_0 I meant we won’t see a studio series leader prime, silly. And I was saying we shouldn’t get a deluxe Orion/Optimus, I was just saying your logic was kinda weird, as stated, it’d be weird if Orion was voyager height and RotB prime was core class height.
Yes but I never said that I WANTED rotb prime to be sacked as a core class, I even said if the video that I know that would be stupid. But for SS TFO scaling. They should not have made both prime and megs deluxes so they can actually be scale accurate, which studio series strives for
Probably, but here TFW2005 with everything they said www.tfw2005.com/boards/threads/sdcc-2024-hasbro-interview-john-wardens-return-generations-studio-series-combiners-more.1266208/

Yes because when they get to earth eventually later down the line they will definitely fit in. This scale is overblown as hell, no way are they this big. Bay prime is bigger than the average American household and can reach up to least the third floor of a flat so this design being twice that size means he is the size of a flat and since vehicle modes are usually under the half way mark if not half the size of a transformer his truck would be the size of a house. This isn't true that is false and over blown, I just searched for accurate height scale for the model in the movie and they don't even have one so this is fan spec not concrete evidence of scale.
@@maxmc55_0 sorry for the long yap I had a lot to get off my chest just like you so I hope you don't mind, sorry in advance again 🙏😔 I get that Hasbro is injecting a whole crap tone of sublines into studio series but going as far as to say to cancel legacy is beyond dumb. That line is part of generations and aims to give modernized versions of previous figures and designs or even characters who never got official toys like armada Megatron, transmetal 2 Megatron, laser prime/rid scourge/toxitron, Tarn etc and they mainly focus on shows where as studio series mainly focuses on movies. Canceling that line would then be omitting the possibility of getting better or new figures for pre-existing characters. We haven't even gotten the full adaptation of the armada cast yet and we only have two figures for Cybertron and one for energon in core class Megatron so we still need those to be completed if not touched upon. I could go on about combiners, comics, beast wars obscure lines like alternator and so on even the primes but I'm not gonna, just saying that just because studio series isn't putting out masterpiece level engineering doesn't mean studio series is bad remember this is a smaller scale line with limited budget meaning that they can't produce 100% accurate figures like in the MP line so there will be faults plus they have to at least put out a figure to promote the movie before release like the figure came out 2-3 months before the movie went global so you can't really complain that it's not like I'm the movie. And I get the whole concept art nitpick but like what can you do, they have to make the characters eventually and they had to again promote the movie. Like cool sentinels jet was scrapped from the movie, his wings are blocky but the figure has to transform that's the whole selling point of the toys that they transform, if you want a accurate non transforming model that won't fit with the transforming toys then yolopark is right up your alley. Just saying try to be easy on hasbro, save this for Takara, they have a bigger company and get more money than Hasbro ever can so when they produce the odd mp44 then they should be catching all the heat unless Hasbro pulls a siege leader shockwave again then alright that's deserved lol. The transforms team has said they are trying there hardest to put out good and better products and have stated that they want to go back and redo older studio series releases so that should be on our radars too plus Hasbro is the head of the subsection that is transformers so they are the ones who give them such a tight budget so the quality varies on headquarters. Like your entitled your opinion so I can't change them but i can influence what forms them. What you've been saying isn't wrong, the gamer addition line has been performing badly (imo Megatron is in a grey area) and the figures haven't been fully accurate but they're still finding they're footing, ever since Galvatron from movie 4 they have been slowly trying to get a formula put together on how to engineer the figures so it's not perfect but it's getting there. Just trust the process and try to support the transformers team the best you can so they get a bigger budget.
I think I should have rephrased that part about the cancellation. I more meant, move the wfc figures into Legacy, and make that the point of legacy being wfc and foc
1:58 well there's supposed to be for children not adults. The adults can dish out a little more money for their collection. The deluxe is for kids and the leader classes are for adults. Et cetera et cetera.
1:05 it feels like this was designed as an Orion Pax then they were scared about the name recognition versus calling it Optimus Prime so they added Optimus shit
@@maxmc55_0 yeah agreed, you notice this sort of thing with the way Goldbug and Galvatron have basically vanished from new media in favor of keeping to Bumblebee and Megatron as constants, even though they could easily sell second toys of two of their most popular characters by keeping these iterations around. Hopefully now that the movie is actually out they’ll be more confident in using the Orion Pax name and admitting when a figure is that and not Optimus

@@maxmc55_0 I was not even a year old lmao. In the video you sound overly complainy about the sublines. Also not every version of a character has to be an actual giant like you want them to be
When did I say I want everyone to be giant? And no, 4 sublines within one line where they get limited budget is not normal or good. Back in the back you had 1 line for the film amd that's it. Now we have figures coming out for 3 different films in one line, again like I said in the video. It's too much, we need to slow down and focus on the more important things like ROTB and TFO
@@maxmc55_0 You said and I quote " Look at the scale chart. These are accurate scale charts of Transformers One. Also I don't know what characters we are missing from ROTB so if you could tell me that that would be awesome. One more thing is that I think at least for the Bayverse movie frigures they get more budget than mainline because most of them are complete new molds (except for a few)

I'm not sure if Orion and D-16 with cogs were the same size. So please next time check your things before you start spreading then on the internet.
Yolopark boxes have the correct scale charts on their boxes and hasbro themselves posted an image with Orion and D-16s actually sizes pre-cog. So don't assume I'm posting "fake news" when the news has already been factually posted by the creators themselves

Waves of repaints has been happening for years, and I dont mind it honestly. Sometimes the repaint is the better version of the mold, we just gotta accept that repaints will always happen
Well, I’m sorry to hear that you didn’t enjoy it
For the Rise of the Beasts toys they mentioned in an interview the delays really affected the toys to the point where they had to use concept art and it was too late to go back.
@nmst3777Stopwatch sure, but why couldn't we get both guns?
If We Talk Of The Toy line Not Really But Inaccurate I Can See Why Lucky They Are Upgrade Kit And Toyhax But To Each To They Own
Yes it is good we have access to those kits and stickers, but it shouldn't be up to the consumer to spend more money just to make something look better in a line where it's all about looking better
That's true! I just found it odd cause I really want the blue one lol
3:06 -his alt mode was in the movie for a second. When he flew into the stadium, he transformed off screen then he landed on the platform.-
That being said, I don't think an alt mode -(especially 1 with minimal screen time)- should make the robot mode less accurate.
Edit: 3:20 Unfortunately they'll probably package his sword with another figure (if they're even making that accessory)
So his altmode wasn't in the movie, cause it was off screen, but yes I agree
@@maxmc55_0

@Zygomatic_Bolt hmmmm, I'll have to look at that scene again then. Thx!
@@maxmc55_0 I was wrong. I just rewatched it, and it was an alt mode that looked similar but it entered the Stadium with other racers, so it probably wasn't him
In addition, Sentinel jumped off a building then flew into the stadium.
Guess I subconsciously forced the foggy parts of my memory to see what I wanted to see.
My own problems with studio series is:
They still use ball joints on deluxe class for the leg and arm joints, it's so fucking annoying because the just end up becoming really loose or easy to pop off because the ball joints start to weather away when you move them enough. I get that if the toy is too small then ball joints would probably be a better option but it's still really annoying to me, my TFBB jeep Bumblebee can't even stand anymore because the ball joints in his legs are so weathered away.
The accuracy is a slight problem for me, but I don't really mind it though
The Transformers One Optimus Primes lower torso is WAY to small compared to how it's supposed to, either that or his upper torso is way to wide
The Transformers One Megatron's face looks really odd imo and the fusion canon being D-16's fusion canon is kinda annoying especially with how small the canon is.
Like you said the TFOne Optimus and Megatron being deluxe class instead of voyager is really annoying
I've not gotten any of the stuff from the 86 subline or gamer edition subline, though I'm probably going to get concept art Megatron eventually
This are all my problems with studio series tbh, I don't mind most those problems except the studio ball joints.
I 100% agree with the ball joint problem, it made me hate SS TLK Hotrod, and that thing was really good but the QC and ballpoint were trash
3:55 the original Double Punch was also red, so I think they did this for name recognition
Yeah fair enough, I just really wanted the blue one lol
@@maxmc55_0 oh yeah I’d like to see a blue one to! The design looks nice in those colors and it would be a cool pseudo seeker trio with red and purple
I think maybe when they scan an earth vehicle they alter their size to fit that vehicle, so yeah they'd do regular bayverse-like sized
3:26 hasbro: we cannot add that much it will be too much accesories! Meanwhile SS tf one optimus:
I see that as a possibility. Though the designers have already stated that they are deluxe cause they want to make them cheaper for people to get
@maxmc55_0 ah, wasn't aware of that. Definitely a strange choice given they could've just done any other character.
As someone who hates Rise of the Mid, I'd buy a big Stratosphere SS figure in a heartbeat.
Gamer Edition Sideswipe is such a pain to transform
Tf one prime might be inaccurate but such a good figure imo
I hate how Studio Series rushed the TFONE line cause of how ass the mainline was
Studio series is about scale, the scale is meant for the characters in their own separate universes, so ofc we’re not gonna get a leader class TF One prime and Megs.
They should not have made both prime and megs deluxes so they can actually be scale accurate, which studio series strives for

...Fair. I still haven't gotten over the broken bumblebee or jazz copies. Nore ratchets kibble
If I put more effort into this video I would have found you the concrete evidence of the scale
@@maxmc55_0 sorry for the long yap I had a lot to get off my chest just like you so I hope you don't mind, sorry in advance again 🙏😔
I get that Hasbro is injecting a whole crap tone of sublines into studio series but going as far as to say to cancel legacy is beyond dumb.
@@maxmc55_0 that's fair, that makes a lot more sense than cancelling the legacy line.
@@maxmc55_0 also again sorry for the yap I can't apologise enough I had too much to get off my chest I could have made a video from it lol

Studio series is meant for collectors too
well that is also not sandstorm its the same thing with scorponok its just a random terrorcon scorpion minion that they needed to give a name
Yes, but in the art for the film they are named so
ah yes
1:05 it feels like this was designed as an Orion Pax then they were scared about the name recognition versus calling it Optimus Prime so they added Optimus shit
Thats also what I was thinking, hasbro needs to be more open with different names. But I understand it from a business standpoint
1:35 that is not even close to accurate what are you smoking? Cogged Orion is 20’ and Optimus is 28’

Cmon bro they tried very hard
Never said they didn't
For Tfone figures they were mostly based of concept art so might be why, definitely for sentinel that could be it, for Megatron and optimus its abit odd
Again, as I said in the video. They need to wait and stop basing it off concept art
I just can't see hasbro doing that as they love money

Also I probably was talking absolute nonsense in my first comment I apologize for that
When did I say I want everyone to be giant?
Mind if I make a reaction video?
Hell yeah!
Oh that makes sense
Well your not wrong your points are so valid
Or maybe its going to be voyager class or leader class optimus prime
