Thank you so much for your video. I love all the tutorials you have! What you said makes a lot of sense. I am one of those people who has way too many ideas and a much less focus. I love gemstones, African beads, fiber (braiding and weaving), and I'm learning basic metalsmithing. You can understand tell why I have trouble getting a cohesive theme. I'm starting a jewelry business after many years of hobbyist making and I can't quite define my ideal customer. I'm 53 and disabled and I tend to like younger, contemporary and ethnic styles, but I don't get out enough to see what people wear in the real world. The internet is my greatest resource so I will keep learning and making.
I'm glad that you are finding the OJA's videos helpful. I'm sure that the more work you do you'll start to understand your customer and your personal style better. It's not easy to figure all of that out. Try not to get discouraged if takes a little longer than you anticipate. Good luck with your projects. : )
@@OnlineJewelryAcademy Thank so much for your reply and encouragement. It is taking a while, but I want to do it right and have a cohesive look when I open my Etsy shop and build a website. In the meantime, I am learning a lot of techniques and practicing. One good thing is that I make jewelry that I would want to wear and most of my products are not yet to the quality I would sell. It may just be a little flaw, but they are fine for me to wear. I have always loved jewelry and I'm all kinds of things that I will keep for myself. Thanks again for the great tutorials and I will keep watching, learning and figuring out my signature look.
me too as I am panicking over creating a mood board to be handed in for assessment and exhibition next week after many hours refining my final portfolio and jewelry piece..doing BTEC3 in the UK. Thanks for this really helpful and simple video that pulls it all together. Best wishes for the share.
