Director Park & The Guild Theater - Downtown Portland Oregon 10/15/2023

Director Park was donated to the City of Portland in 2009 by Jordan Schnitzer, who named it after his grandparents Helen and Simon Director. It had been similar to the other park blocks before 2009, an empty space with grass and trees. The nearby Guild Theater operated from 1927 to 2006, It had been a nice small theater operated by 2 employees; and is currently a bookstore. I recall seeing "Glengarry Glen Ross" here in the early 1990s.
