Ok, to the ones really enjoying this build, I've been looking for the (keywords) products used here, and tried to summarize this schematics.. let's take a look: -- Hot Water Cylinder (easily replaceable by any other means, important is the metal, zinc .. copper, with the copper spiral pipes), - 0:13 -- Cold water enters on the bottom and leaves on top of cylinder, and there is a spa filter with cartridge shown at 2:47 before sending the 'bottom/colder' water to the heat cylinder. -- I'm guessing the black box before filter is a mini water pump that you can see at 2:48, -- At 2:21 pay attention to the extra pipe that goes direct to the heat cylinder, i'm also guessing this is how they control the temperature of the water that comes out the cylinder after being heated, you open cold water straight into the heat cylinder, with pump on, you got a simple and nice control of temperature. -- For the lamps, there's multiple ways to go about it, you can buy the ones made for hot tubs or, i've seen some with suction cups on battery, as long as they are not in a place you will step, or ideally, cutting the fabric and properly sealing lamps in place. -- Now pallets are not enough, but with two 1.5 ton ratchet straps (1:02) is more than enough to hold this amount of water (6 pallets hexagon), and make sure you use well made pallets (thick). -- For seats unfortunately he didn't show, but i'm also guessing same pallet wood, cut and fixed in place, with rubber mats to make it comfy -- besides the waterproof fabrics/canvas, the rest is improvements to make it pretty. Let me know if i'm wrong in something, might try this build in the near future!
Love the video. I too build a hot tub out of pallets. What did you use to line it with. Thats the step im at. Im definitely trying to keep the cost low. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Cheers I'm looking at building one out of an ibc container led strip lights got some central heating pumps then water filter heat it from a gas bottle wood burner then salt to keep the water clean like they do in some French swimming pools looks like I'll have to do a video now 😀
d muschialli that's a good idea, didn't think of salt! That might have helped big time. Only problem I have it would get super scummy after one use so i ending up emptying it after every use.
Hey man, can you share what kind of tarp is that (strength/weight per m2 ) I am going to build one in my backyard but I am kind of worrying about the tarp ...whether it is going to leak or not... Thank you in advance.

Nice !!! How'd did you get the bubbles ?
thanks, we used a earlex paint gun.
how do u filter it?
what's the benefit of the pump is it just to add bubbles if so how many inlets did you have cheers Dave
the pump was for the circulation of the water, bubbles were separate and for that we just drilled a load of holes in a bit of garden hose.

Monte Felto yes, but only for the little water pump.
