I’m not one to defend Nick, but Metaphor is the one saying that Nick thinks Metaphor is someone he is not. This goes all the way back pre-Verdansk days apparently, some incident is meant to have happened, Nick believes it was Metaphor, Metaphor says it’s not him. What I think it really boils down to really is that Nick thinks Metaphor is a stream sniper.
