Was on that ship when she was fairly new and still had the Olympic Dining room (wow were we pampered in that dining room). Thanks for the tour, a lot has been upgraded since we were there over two decades ago.
Enjoyed your video. We are on the Indian Ocean cruise this fall. Our second Celebrity cruise. The first, from Rome to Dubai was excellent. Loved Petra.
Hi Nick - I bumped into you as I was researching Millennium UA-cam tours. The last time we were on the Millennium was our first Celebrity cruise in 2017 to Alaska (which we enjoyed immensely. Now we are going on the Millennium on June 8 for our Japan cruise. Your tour was so very informative!

hi nick going on this ship out of tokyo in march 16-28 hopefully we get good weather. Your video really helped me plan, however did not see anything on blu cafe. I will be on deck 9 aqua class.
HECK YES!! The sauna on the Celebrity Millennium was nice, although it did not get too hot. I found it was almost always empty and you can pour water over the rocks to increase the humidity and thus temperature. Have a great trip!! Sorry that I did not leave you any surprises hidden aboard.

I saw that ship back in the 2000's in my capital city Tallinn. Then it was quite new ship. I was a early teenager then. But it was a big ship! Never been on board myself, unfortunately! 😒

Thanks for showing the Millennium. We are going in September. First time sailing with Celebrity. Question about using specialty dining package at Sushi on Five. The package said it will give us $50 credit for A La Carte restaurant, such as Sushi at Five. I am confused as how this works with the package of 3 specialty dinings that we bought.

If you don't book all inclusive when booking, how much is the drinks package (alcolol and the non alcohol for teens? Booking the 12 day Japan to Korea cruise. Also if you don't book all inclusive, are there other additional costs that you need to pay on board for entertainment; gym etc...? Any advise on excursions on this cruise 12 day Japan to Korea ..thanks ..first timers

Thank you for so much detail, hard work, and care for making this wonderful tour. I was on this ship when it was brand new and I like some changes but think some changes are a downgrade. The cabins have been upgraded. However, the original dining room was IMO much richer and classic and luxurious than the version they have now. Some of the original furnishings were very rich and vibrant and in a modern classic look that has changed to a more generic nice look to them now. IMO, the use of the muted tans and blues in different areas of the ship doesn't give out the feeling of warmth and richness of the original. The Rendezvous layout is the same and thankfully, unlike the Edge, there's a proper elegant lounge with a good sized dance floor. However, the original sections leading to the club were very chic, rich and now they look cluttered with the books and such. It's lacking the definition and ambience of the original. Upstairs was the Crystal Pavillion. with a bar that had really chic chandeliers and this 1920s style that was truly stylish. I think its the lack of 1920s-1950s references that is lacking in the renovations and lacking in the Edge class and that was a huge part of what made a Celebrity ship a Celebrity ship vs. a Princess or RCL or other. It's like Cunard. They have classic interiors that provide an ambiance of traditional cruising that is expected. Celebrity was modern chic classic, not just contemporary muted like most of the Edge Class. Ultimately, product culture starts with people and the physical space is a platform. So, the service staff, musicians and entertainers, captain and supervising and managing officers, make the experience what it is. The physical ship, it's combination of atmosphere and spaces, does facilitate the philosophy of the cruise product. I talk of dance floors because the lounge life on cruise ships is something that I would seek. Small, intimate spots are something else I think some cruisers seek and the Millennium (class) does a fair job at that. I think in refurbishing ships through different eras, you don't have to wipe out certain original aspects of a ship that makes that gave that ship its personality. I feel some of this was done with the Millennium however some areas were improved. This happens in transformation. I'm not against change and modernization of products. However, keeping your product identity is important to defining your product and here's where Celebrity is somewhat wobbly. Martini Bars and experimental art is part of Celebrity and they've certainly are giving a lot of dining/food options. Just, remember that socializing spaces are big too. Of the ship classes for Celebrity, I like Solstice class first, Millennium second and I really don't think I care for the Edge class.
