Is it not easier more reliable to use a small Preston pellet feeder ???
Pellet cone is ok but the t bag is better in my opinion. Bait stays in t bag whereas in pellet cone some pellets can come off on landing feeder.
The tea bag is a great tactic. The problem is in a match scenario the time that can take to prep between fish. You're delivering such a small parcel of bait using the pellet cone - tying similarly sized bags up isn't easy. Albeit can, as you said be very effective

Hi Andy,I’m a beginner at the coarse fishing having fly fished for last 40 yrs!! Could you not put your bait eg 6/8 mm pellet in the cone and squeeze the 2 mm around so it worked like method feeder ?
Love to see some more Sonubaits river fishing. They are as rare as hens teeth. Don't mind the videos you all show, they are great entertainment, some great presentation and knowledge coming from everyone. BUT....not all of us fish man made-puddles...just like to see something different!

Can you use a small method feeder with a long hook length not buried in the bait ?
I tried it and got nothing but tangles
Makes no sense mate as the fish attack the pellets around the feeder and if you're hook bait isn't there you're less likely to hook fish, plus in winter when the water is clear fish wise up to the feeder
