Everyone in chat was like "He's not as good as Kephrii" "Kenzo is better" "Asking has way better aim" despite Ansan being the number one Widowmaker had me confused. Don't judge someone because of a highlight, especially when it comes to pro player it's better to be consistently great than sometimes godly.
It's hard to put a who's best at what hero tag on anyone. The reason being that Blizzard messes with the heroes consistently to keep the meta from becoming stagnant. Thus like Elijah rightly put it - consistently great is better than sometimes godly cause it shows you can adapt. That is a far more useful metric. Additionally a 'one-trick' and a 'specialist' are very different in nature. People conflate that too easily. One tricks don't know any other hero well apart from one. (Chipsa comes to mind). Specialists are partly flex, they can play multiple heroes at a high level but are undoubtedly excellent at one.
For guys who don't know Ans, Yes he is a widow one trick now. He is one of the best and famous Widowmaker in Korea. He has many fans in Korea, but he has many haters too. Actually, he did nothing wrong. Everyone has haters. He ranked 4732++ at season 10 and ranked world 1st. Carpe said he had a hard time when he met Ans in comp. Saya met Ans twice or more, and on the first match, the widow duel was a 3:3 tie. On the second match, saya won 3:0 It's just saya doing saya things, losing to him doesn't make you a bad widow. He always puts 2 or 3 accounts on the first page of the ranking only with widow. Even if the meta is goats or Double shield. He is a monster, he dominates the comp ladder. But I'm not sure if he will dominate the OWL like shock did on season 2. One thing I'm sure is, he's a big fan of shock since OWL season 1, and he is not a bad pickup.

I'm Korean and met ANS at Widowmaker Deathmatch. The first player to win 50 kills wins, but when ANS participated, the first place was 26 kills. But ANS quickly lost the first place, and after 49 kills, he left the game. I'm not good at English, so I borrowed the power of Google. Please understand. :)
Cristehn hes a competent widow for sure but he's not a superstar. Striker is probably their best widow but looks like this guys might be better. and he probably is since SF they signed him
This pick is pretty nice in my opinion, I'd say he probably won't be a bench warmer, but maybe should only be swapped in if you need a widowmaker, unless he can spread out his hero pool some more. Or, if the meta shifts over to a widow dominated one instead of mei reaper, mei doom, doom reaper, etc. Then that'll be good for him I guess. He for sure seems to be the best widow maker on the shock team, maybe not be the best overall dps, as you have to compare how viable players are with their hero pools and stuff. I'm pretty sure we'll all consider Sinatraa as one of the best over all carry dps players in the entire OWL, at least in the 2019 season, so I don't think it'll come to this guy being at Sinatraa's level of carry potential, or players like Architect and Striker and Rascal, all general good dps players because they aren't a one trick and can flex off to various heroes that are needed, which I think is the main issue here. Shock should probably get Ans to work on some more heroes other than widow maker. At least the necessary ones in the meta, Doomfist, Reaper, Mei, etc. Maybe not be a god at doomfist like Sinatraa, or a god at reaper like striker, but generally he should at least *learn* them some. Overall I think it's a pretty nice pick to get. If anything, Shock Essentially doesn't need anymore healers, cause they basically have the 2 best healers in the entire OWL right now, They have smurf who is a god at orisa, if the meta shifts to a rein or winston based, they have super still, if it goes back to zarya, they have Sinatraa, Choi is still the best off-tank I've seen in my life, and Then we have a large variety of good dps, so Ans can probably fit somewhere in there, just needs to learn some more heroes I think.
Well when widow was viable in the stage 3 finals, that didn't work. Striker got destroyed by diem, so I'm guessing they won't make striker their widow one trick again
