In this video we dive into the history of Wartstein Castle. This is located in the Lauter Valley in the Swabian Alb. Who would guess that the ruins hidden in the forest are a former count's castle? It was built in the 12th century.
The hiking trail to the castle ruins is quite steep, but it is worth the effort for history buffs and nature lovers alike. A very interesting place.
