THE GREATEST LAKER EVER AND TOP 3 NBA PLAYER ALL TIME… RIP TO THE LEGEND!!
Not the Top 3 NBA player all time, you got MJ, LBJ and KAJ
@@KWW9999many agree, many disagree. Still known as a legend 🕊️
@@-Hooty- Kob is not a top 3 but a easy top 10 player all time
So we are just going to forget about magic as the greatest laker he won 5 in less time but tbh you can say there tied imo
@@KWW9999 top 1
This is a perfect answer to those saying he didn't deserve that Finals MVP back in 2010. The stat sheet doesn't say everything.
If you like watching excel sheets, go watch bron; if you like watching basketball, go watch kobe.
You must understand the game in order to see this stuff. Unfortunately, most casuals don't
Stats don’t show the whole picture… man did all that on a broken finger
@@ndjdhdhehdhd4045he also had that knee with no cartilage left. Gimpy ankle from in season sprain. That's what a legit body without Balco juice looks like after 14 long seasons. He still delivered the chip.
Haters looked at the stats and say he choked in this game but everyone who watched knew his impact on the court.
they just watch the highlights and stats
That game was a chess match where the other player has all the big pieces and you still pull off the check mate.
The haters want to only look at how many last second shots someone made. They don't want to look at how someone chokes away an entire series on their way to 6 Finals losses when greatness needs to shine.
Moments like this 2010 Game 7 fourth quarter making the right play in all aspects of the game and delivering....that's the Black Mamba. Don't forget those free throws to seal the deal
He big time choked and got bailed out by gasol fish and artest.
@@Martillo81015😂😂😂😂😂 and you still have no likes 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣cuz you don't know basketball just stats
I will never forget this game 7! Kobe did literally everything even when his shot wasn’t falling. He was defending, rebounding and still being aggressive to get to the free throw line. 🐍♾️
THIS!!!
Some guyss that are so dumb saying that the 4th qtr was rigged because of the free throws 😅😅😅
Great players always find a way to impact the game in a positive way down to each play.
This game was a defensive battle, people try to use this game to discredit Kobe but they fail to realize it’s actually a testament to his greatness.
they're just casuals who have 0 basketball knowledge
I'll always remember the day when I heard the news of his passing. Where I was, what I was doing, the people around me, it was as if time stood still with everyone desperately checking their phones in disbelief. The cashiers and customers of this grocery store in Los Angeles just froze as if they just lost a family member.
This video brilliantly showcased Kobe's basketball IQ, skill, determination to win and trust in his teammates. Greatest Laker of all time in my opinion.
Kobe the monomaniacal genius! All casuals have been saying was he had a bad shooting night, low FG% game and was saved by his teammates. So little do they know that there are plenty of Kobe's ways in contributing impactful plays to win that game that stats will never measure. True greatness!
Did you read Farmar's lips after Kobe laced that drive right pull up (1:42 of this video) He was yelling in Shannon Brown's ear. "He's back!". Those youngins knew they were about to see the Black Mamba go to work and close out the chip with half the fourth to go.
Credit to Boston as well. They made zero errors down that stretch. That barrage of clutch threes was insane. Kobe just refused to fold once he got his grip on the game.
That image of his celebration with the ball and his arms out is my favorite image of him. Game 7 win vs the celtics. Out of those 5 chips. This is my favorite
Nothing beats a Lakers Celtics matchup
@@Snake-re2kxnothing beats a lakers Celtics matchup
One of the 3 best players all time. Miss you Kobe❤
Rebounds were a huge factor in this series ..the team who had the most rebounds ended up winning the game .RIP
THE GOAT.
The greatest of our time. Mamba forever
Please give us more Laker Film Room content. Pete's breakdown's are the best!
Kobe's my all-time favorite player (i probably saw at 90% of every game he ever played in as a pro . including summer league and pre-season games,,) and this was my all-time favorite Kobe performance .. due to the high stakes and grit that he had o draw from to suceed
This is the finals that made you really appreciate Kobe cuz he had to literally do everything to win, this breakdown makes it even more maniacal
He used his team to get the score to win this revenge game for the Celtics. Kobe is so smart he knew his shots wasn't there but there's Ron and Pau and his team to execute his game here. Thanks Kobe for giving your all to win this back to back championship. You're indeed a Legend 👏👏👏♾️
Love this! This is how kids should learn basketball, rather than just watching stat sheets. Would rather hear the man who did it himself to break down his game mindset though. Miss you, Bean
One of the best videos out there. Loved the break down of all the little things that are hard to miss when watching in real time, or the things we don't even know what to look for. This was so incredibly smart and a great way to explain what we are seeing. Thanks!
Wow!! I miss Kobe 😢🙏🏽🐍🖤💛💜
I love the memories of Kobe Bryant Go Lakers
THE REAL KING OF LOS ANGELES ALWAYS AND FOREVER CANT WAIT TO SEE THE STATUE TOMARROW RIP KOBE BEAN BRYNAT
Great video which analyzes the fundamentals of the game. This game was my favourite game 7 of all time. Hard nosed basketball fight
Thanks Pete, this was awesome! 💜💛💜
Kobe Black Mamba.💜💛💜💛🙏✝️
CONTEXT is important. Kobe played with TWO BROKEN FINGERS in his shooting hand the entire season, a torn ligament/tendon in his KNEE that was so bad he had to get his knee DRAINED of subcutaneous fluid BEFORE EVERY SINGLE QUARTER of game 7, and other minor injuries. He had knee surgery a few weeks after this game (unlike LeBronze and his fake foot injury after getting swept by Jokic and Murray last year). NOT ONCE did he ever use injuries as an excuse for a substandard shooting night (and what he lacked in shooting in this game, he compensated with amazing defense, rebounding and passing).
Despite all of that, in game 7, in a LOW SCORING DEFENSIVE SLUGFEST in which virtually NOBODY shot well percentage-wise, Kobe SET AN NBA FINALS RECORD for MOST REBOUNDS IN A SINGLE FINALS GAME by an NBA GUARD (15). And this was a game DEFINED by CONTESTED REBOUNDS.
Kobe is my GOAT. Objectively, i'll say MJ is King, but Kobe is, at the LOWEST, #2 all time imo.
LeBronze is nowhere NEAR MJ or Kobe, two players with more SKILL in their pinkie than LeTravel has in his entire BODY. Sorry, not sorry.
RIP Kobe, there will never be another player like you. Magical player and a basketball god.
P.S. Anybody (I'm looking at you Bill Simmons), who thinks Pau deserved FMVP over Kobe when he himself shot 5-15 in game 7, DESPITE not drawing anywhere near the gravity of Kobe's offense, should be burned at the stake. The Kobe HATE is absurd (I'm looking at you ESPN and Bleacher Report).
Kobe said this was the sweetest championship especially against the Celtics. Lakers showed alot of heart and guts in this series. This wasn't Kobe's best scoring game but those rebounds, the passing to his teammates, and the ability to make timely baskets like the last jumper he made was amazing. This was one of the best series ever! Kobe is one of the best players to ever play basketball 🏀. Rest in peace (mamba)Kobe bean Bryan 🙏.
Kobe Black mamba Legends 💜💛💜💛
Thank You for making this!
Thanks for this video. I have never watched him play live but this is mind blowing. RIP!!!
such a video, with such details within is worthy of kobe, who was a detail-fanatic himself. there wont be anyone like him, all we can try to do, is aspire.
Players like Pierce and Allen and KG were good. But Kobe will forever be Great.
The greatest player ever.
This is pure gold folks only think Kobe was a scorer the man was a full complete basketball player and clutch on defense and offense
Great break down this was amazing. Rip Kobe
Everyone was struggling offensively in this series and especially this game. It was a defensive clinic on both sides and they knew each other so well. Nobody scored easily.
I was in downtown LA at the Sheraton Hotel bar a few blocks from Staples for this game. The tension in the air was through the roof. Every loose ball win was celebrated like a game winner. The City shook when the clock hit zero with Kobe chasing down the ball #1 in the air.
Legend! 💛💜
Always loved your detail but these breakdowns mean so much more
Legendary
Man I remember this series, best Laker ever, he the Goat for real. R.I.P Mamba
Miss you KOBE😭😭
Greatest Laker all time Top 2 all time nba history
I love Kobe he’s my favorite basketball player
Great analysis of a clutch closer in one of the most intense Finals Game 7's ever. It doesn't get bigger than Boston Lakers in professional sports.
This kind of relentless clutchness doesn't show up in stats. However, it means everything to being great.
Keep this videos coming, this is beautiful !
RIP Kobe Bryant Black Mamba💜💛
WOW absolutely wow. Rip Mamba
Finds a way
Never gives up
No effing excuses
That's the REAL King of LA
1:55 - Jordan Farmar: "He's BAAACK!!!"
I love that moment! It was the first time I could take a breath watching that game live in downtown LA.
More content like these pls 😢
Pete - been a huge fan on the LFR pod and had to peep this video as soon as you mentioned it on the podcast, so here's my preemptive thanks for this treat.
Also...if I am ever lucky enough to be in L.A. and meet you, when we shake hands let's make sure our rings touch 😂😂😂😂😂 IYKYK
My 2nd favorite Kobe Bryant moment. My top favorite is the 2009 Finals because it shows he can win without Shaquille.
Kobe did more without Shaq than Shaq did without Kobe. That fact is telling of who really carried who to that 3 peat.
I remember this game .i was nervous thinking the repeat of 2008 finals
Masterclass of a video by LFR! Next time anyone tries to throw shade at Kobe for his 6-24 shooting performance in this game, just show em this video to shut them up. &@$# Boston!
GOAT!
This was a chess match, scoring wasnt the main focus here since everyone literally had an off night, both teams understand that making a field goal wasnt the focal point to win the game, it was defense, securing rebounds and being agressive to get free throws, the best option was to get free throws, in a close game hill-hill battle between two great teams it all boils down to understanding the situation, kobe did all that in the foruth quarter he was agressive, he secured rebounds and made great decision on the offensive and defensive end, in a game where everyone was struggling to score kobe still found a way to be effective. Period, he wasnt the greatest of all time but he always gave his heart, mind and soul to the game, thats why we love kobe, the mamba
New LFR and new Pete breakdown? Birthday week is off to a great start
Now this is BASKETBALL 🏀
We miss you Kob. GOAT Laker imo.
Only players that have played the game at the NBA level, and have played against Kobe, will truly understand Kobe's greatness. Only they will understand why Kobe is right after MJ. These clowns and the media always try to discredit his greatness. Not me. Kobe will always be my GOAT.
Love it ❤❤
rest at the end,not in the middle

what you are witnessing is a player who does not like to lose
Mamba forever 🙏
Him and Lebron's mind to read plays b4 it even happened was on tier!

Kobe bryant e o seu nome completo e a morada para 💜💛
If Artest and GASOL could help him in game 5 it would've been over in 6 in advantage of Lakers so Artest and Gasol not only saved Kobe but saved themselves too in that game 7. Prior to that hard fought game 7 kobe averaged 30-8-4 on %43 shooting against a great defensive side (scores were like 90-86) That's pretty pretty good tho.
Uniased list for me, he's top 3.....on my biased list....he's the goat.
I don't think it's biased to have him as the GOAT. You just came to the conclusion earlier than most eventually will.
@@MrEliasdl I mean, if I'm going by a general consensus of what people try to put in goat categories when ranking players. For me I'm going by what my eyes saw. Kobe's is in my opinion the player that people have to try to peg down in arguments in order to make it seem viable to not have him as the goat even though the league hated him but the players knew. Truly ridiculous arguments, the last championship vs boston is what sealed it for me personally.
@@MonstarCaveI get what you're saying. Kobe was supposedly the second best player his whole career and they had to keep changing the criteria and narrative to talk him down. He's the GOAT. I don't care that the paid media didn't vote him MVP. I just as you know what I witnessed
kareem 80s goat mj the 90s goat kobe the 2000s goat. period
I could care less about the shooting percentage the FGAs and all that i look at this game as the pinnacle of “ Finding a way to win” and Kobe did just that 🫡
The best since MJ. My goat forever ♾️
gary vitti (former laker's trainer): there's nothing really special about Kobe... but why does he have 5 rings and many others don't. it's because he was smart.
Goat
But they always wanna talk about how inefficient he was. He had 10 pts in the 4th and 15 boards. He outrebounded KG and found other ways to win when his shot wasn't falling
…& he wasn’t the only starting player with woeful shooting that game. This was a physical series. Ballstun believed they could beat the Lakers with physicality. But the Lakers - Kobe - knew this would happen from what he - the Lakers - experienced in the ‘08 Finals against Ballstun.
- Paul Pierce: 5-of-15 for 33%
- Ray Allen: 3-of-14 for 21%
- Pau Gasol: 6-of-16 for 37%
- Andrew Bynum: 1-of-5 for 20%.
Ballstun only won 1 quarter, too: the 1st (+9).
The Lakers won the remaining 3 quarters by 3, 2 & 8, respectively. 13 - 9 = 4. Lakers won 83 - 79 (+4).
Again, it was a physical series that Ballstun wanted to keep under 100 ppg.
Thank God for Kobe!
Good'ol hard basketball, no soft flagrant fouls called...
Kobe and Jordan make their teammates better (FACTS)
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Kobe just smarter
And somehow the media don't have him in the top 5. SMH
I watched, he struggled, legs looked tired. This Video is a reach, meta had the biggest shot of the night.
And that's why he the.... never mind he not the goat... he the Mamba Black Mamba
Jordan
Kareem
Kobe
Anthony Davis entrenamiento Tim Duncan enseña de el de puede ayudar
If you ACTUALLY watched these finals ... It was Artest who was most valuable.
This is the same Celtics squad who beat Miami.
This game is how I know when someone actually watched the game or just looked at stats for their stupid LBJ "debate"
I feel it all was the system against Kobe Bryant, all his carrer defending himself from haters and downers, including players and own coaches!!!
The MAMBA could beat you in more ways than ONE!
Dumb fans only look at triple doubles and FG%.
It's why they don't undestand how Kobe has a +- 0 despite being 6-24
But a guy with triple double and high fg% was -25
one of the worst players on the court that game until the refs started sending him to the line 😭😭did they not want to show his side of the backboard shot or the amount of times when he took and missed a highly contested shot instead of passing it to an open teammate? one of the greatest of all time yes but poor performance
It goes MJ, Kareem, and Kobe Bean MF Bryant in that order 🐐🐐🐐
too much since fiction, but was good...
There is no one being guarded like that today. Kobe would average 45
Ruined it w whoever’s narrating
that's not a foul... Kobe initiate the contact
