The reason for /rotate is that /tp now dismounts its target. If you wanted to rotate an entity riding another one, you used to /tp, now you need to /rotate.

Reminds me of the item sorter Mumbo Jumbo made that slowly steals items from you. Not like a stack or anything, like 3 or 4 items so you don't notice.

It would be very funny if this was implemented as a feature. Imagine returning from a mining trip to learn all of your ore has been reduced to ash because you were gone for to long.

Furnaces can now completely burn away items
Honestly it'd be funny if furnaces just had a chance to overcook stuff, like making a burnt steak that restores less hunger than a normal steak
And nausea for 30 seconds
Oh that would suck... As the overcooked steak would be a different item, it wouldn't stack with the other steaks, essentially stopping the furnace lol

@@-tremocoi I mean, it would be a pain anyway. For early game it would be quite slow and zzz to deal with. But later on, you could make an item filter with hoppers and so to work around the overcooked steak. It would be terrible tho, but if it has a low chance (like poisonous potato lol) it would be just a little nuisance here and there

2:19 I’m pretty sure it’s using your legs as the anchor for rotating, so the game puts your head slightly too high since the angle is from your legs to the Creaking’s eyes.
Furnaces now can cook glowstone to make an Aether Portal where you find all your lost items
Finally they desided to fix that bug. Ever since these furnaces were added, they were constantly bugging out and deleting my items! One day I left a stack of planks there and when I came back to my base after an hour, they were gone! I knew I wasn't the only person to have this problem
This was a recent bug introduced in the last snapshot, not a long running issue. Unless you've been playing on that snapshot this bug has not been affecting you.
Planks can only go in the fuel slot, so I'm guessing they just got used up from smelting whatever else you put in the furnace. Or if you're playing in multiplayer someone else might have stolen them while you were gone.
Finally you can play as a furnace who has to eat ores to survive
I guess somebody just turned up the heat in the furnace, no other possible explanation

As a mapmaker, /rotate has the small perk of providing the ability to correct where the player is facing when teleported to specific areas.
I thought there was the "facing" parameter, which would be more useful since you might not know how much they need rotated & in what direction.
This isn't a bug, the Rascal is just stealing the items

That instantly reminded me of the nether rack furnace.
The reason your /rotate doesn’t properly face the eyes is because it’s running at your feet so your feet are rotated to face its eyes. You would have to add ~anchored eyes~ or something like that at the end or in an execute command

Lucky I saw this before upgrading my world to this snapshot - I play my main long-term survival world on snapshots so this has saved me a lot of trouble for future me.
Best practice is to backup *at least* on every upgrade. Especially useful for snapshots but is also useful for releases too in case something goes wrong. Tech isn't perfect and stuff can just Break for seemingly no reason
The hole isn't a soflock, you can actually wait for the day and it will despawn
I would have loved it if they just added the creaking to dark oak forest randomly being generated in trees. The new biome is cool but if it was a rare occurence if they spawned in dark forests that would make them so much more creepy

They added No Mans Sky's refinery issue, how original.
For anyone who doesn't know, No Mans Sky had (or still has, not sure) had an issue for a long time, where items you put into medium or large refineries just disappeared if you left them alone for a while.

the softlock also happens to villagers in bedrock, because if you try to break a block with a long tap it opens the villager trade menu and its annoying since you have to kill them just to get out (for some reason if hold on the screen it opens up the menu even though theres alr a button) its really annoying i hope mojang fixes it

All these updates to the game but they still can't remove Drowned or make their spawn chance low enough to not impale or mob me every time I go near any body of water.
They really should change how drowned mob works.
They should make it unable to spawn during the day and only make it spawn at night to be consistent with most other undead mobs.
It's just really annoying getting attacked by them when building something in or neer bodys of water.
Drowned do require light level 0 to spawn like any other hostile mob, so they can only spawn deep underwater (at least 15 blocks below the surface) during the day. Even if they couldn't spawn during the day they wouldn't die from the sun in the morning so you'd still see them around during the day.
Drowned also ignore players on land during the day, mostly. Even when holding a trident they are neutral towards players outside of water during the day. Riding in a boat even counts as being outside of the water. The only reason the Drowned should attack you during the day is if you step in the water, in which case they can continue to target you until you leave their range or line of sight.
There are only 3 things guaranteed in life: death, taxes, and pheonixsc uploading while I’m alseep
There's an easy way to get unsoftlocked by the creaking trap and that is to wait for day time and the creaking will vanish.
I thought from the thumbnail that they gave furnaces a trashcan type ability. So that you could delete your items there, on purpose, rather than tossing them into lava or using other more inelegant methods.
I am amazed at the fact that Mojang is keep breaking old features in snapshots
My guess is that there will be some minor change involving furnaces or inactive chunk nbt data saving

Given this only affects furnace type blocks, I wonder if it means they’re working on making furnaces more data driven, allowing you to specify which kinds of blocks get sped up when smelting in a certain furnace type or how much a furnace can speed up smelting by.
That's why playing on the same world with every last snapshot is fun, you never know if anything got messed up

This reminds me of that one bug in Minecraft alpha. Where if you destroy a furnace with items inside it, they'll just disappear.

The glitch is also a neat way to get active furnaces in survival for decoration, maybe they should add it as a feature (e.g. furnace w/ redstone input will turn on cosmetically)

was playing on a server with a friend and we were super far away from our bases messing around in a deep dad, luckily we could use a /back command to go back to where we died!-
problem was that i was in a 1x1 hole with at least 2 wardens (cant remember exactly how many, we spawned many)
this was when wardens were fairly new so i learnt the hard way that you cant hide in a hole to escape wardens! :')
