I had a similar experience to Joe. One of my employee lost one of his AirPod. I offered to buy him a replacement. One week later, he told me he found another job and quit. Six months later, he applied for unemployment and claimed I fired him. He literally only worked for me for 2 weeks. 😑

I refused, despite him trying to suck up to me, so he turned around and tried to tell my friend to "make me" watch their kid so they could go to the concert. Fortunately, she sided with me that I was within my rights to say no.

I personally confronted him about it and he didn't want to say anything because his accusations was all bullishit. My sister n law yelled at my son for telling me their shit talking behind my back. Till this day, I never want to watch their kid again. What they did was a slap in the face. I did it out love for the kid and that's how they thank me.
That sucks, yet good for you for confronting the problem head on. And it is shameful that your sister-in-law yelled at your son for telling the truth. She had no right to expect him to sit by and say nothing while they talked crap about you.

My wife told that they even got her bf's mother evicted from her home. Now, the bf and his mom has no more relationship ties with each other, at all.
