Loosing that game without getting any injuries would have been a good result. To win it and to have players getting valuable minutes into their legs, with no injuries, is brilliant. It gives us another game, actually two games (two legs for the semi finals) where we can give more players even more minutes. I'm happy, well done Slot and team - YNWA \0/
I've always been a fan of Endo since he kept a player of Modric's quality quiet for 90 minutes in the Qatar World Cup when playing for Japan against Croatia. He may not be technically gifted with silky ball skills like Trent, but he doesn't go missing and posing for the TV cameras like Trent did way too often against Fulham at the weekend. What he gives is fighting spirit and work-rate and his attitude marks him as a model professional. Every team needs a sprinkling of players who are prepared to do what it takes to win, someone who will run through brick walls for the team. It was good to see Darwin getting on the scoresheet tonight; thought he took it well and, hopefully, it gives him a confidence boost. As for Chiesa, we'll need to be patient with him and not expect too much from him straight away given that he's not played much football for several months. We just need to get behind him and give him the love and support he needs to get back to his best. Up the mighty top-of-the-league Reds! YNWA!!!
Brilliant comment, he is a true professional, and keeping one of my all time favourite players Modric quiet, is no mean feet, although he is past his prime. Onwards and upwards

Stoked you give Endo a big thumbs up. He is a 'road-block' in the middle and what he lacks in the spectacular he makes up with a doggedness that sometimes goes unappreciated. Give him some more playing time so that he feels more a part of the team so that he sticks around for the future.
When I saw how abysmal the weather was, all I asked for was no injuries. The win and good performance from Harvey, Endo, etc was a bonus. Chiesa did look slightly off physically but he showed moments of class
Endo is a class act, the consummate professional and yes a warrior. I agree with David and hope he gets more opportunities to contribute and compete. He won’t disappoint. 👍👍👍
Happy to see the fans mentioning Endo in the comments. I love this guy for his work rate and never give up attitude. I hope he gets more game time, even though it looks unlikely.
Don't understand why Slot doesn't deploy Endo more as a "closer" when Liverpool has a lead after ~75 minutes and isn't chasing the game, to give Gravenberch, Sobo, and Macca a breather. Endo is obviously not Slot's starter but he is a very capable DM off the bench to help protect leads and close out games.
I don't begrudge Slot underutilizing Endo because he doesn't offer as much offensively compared to the rest of the starting midfielders, but defensively, he shades just about every one of them or at least on par with our best midfielders. With Konate out, I do think Endo can contribute more to the team and deserves more minutes, especially with the uptick in goals conceded since Konate's injury.
Completely agree. That said I do think Slot could have found a way to field him along with Mac Allister and Gravenberch after all Gravenberch is mainly an 8 with Mac Allister being a 10. I can only imagine how much they would want to get more involved in the attack rather than just focusing on the their defensive duties. With Endo in the lineup it would allow them to do just that. Not to mention Endo is a DM while Gravenberch is a converted one so naturally Endo’s defensive IQ is far more superior than Gravenberch’s so I don’t understand why Slot wouldn’t want to have someone like that in the lineup despite Endo having major shortcomings in just about everything else Slot is looking for in his defensive midfielders. I think that right now would be the time for Slot to start playing Endo as the back line and the midfield are starting to look vulnerable defensively. The Newcastle game is proof of that.

He's good with forward passes and defending and he's quick and can read the threat well.... The CB role suits him. What was especially outstanding was unlike our CB's including VVD. He doesn't back away and back away and allow opposition to get closer to the goals. He goes in and Tackles and intercepts higher up the pitch! That was very refreshing to see.

Great result. People can say it’s only Southampton but they gave us a tough game there a few weeks ago and we went there without ten first team players tonight. Getting through to the semis keeps the season alive for the likes of Kelleher, Quansah, Endo, Chiesa etc which can’t be underestimated also so it’s great news all round.
Enjoyed, good performance. Controlled the game for large parts up till their goal. Saw it out, good performance and result. Quansah, great game looked rock solid. Endo got stuck in and showed heart. Elliott, nice goal. Nunez, worked hard and showed composure, in his finish. Nyoni, solid game. Chiesa, great to see, showed off his skill, passing and was unlucky not to get a goal near the end, good half from him. Nice to see Danns feature also. Amazing bit of play from Trent for Darwins goal. Really wanted to see Ngumoha, maybe an appearance for 3-0 rather than 2-1. Onto the semis and Spurs next

Shooting, finishing, free kicks, touch, control, workrate, decision making, composure, technical abilities, positioning etc are all so so good! No matter what level he plays at, he makes it look easy. He even took that right up to senior level. Totally agree on Danns, I’ve got really high hopes for him. Think a loan move might be right for him now but I feel pretty confident he’s got a good chance of doing something at Liverpool.
@davidlynchlfc yeah possibly! I actually don't think it's an exaggeration to say he's a better footballer than Nunez right now in every way apart from physically. I also don't believe it's farfetched to say he'd have more of an impact than Darwin right now. Would love to see him at least given a few chances off the bench in the Prem before he's chucked out on loan, just to gauge exactly what level he's at. You never know. He could easily hit the ground running and surprise everyone! He'd certainly put away far more chances than Nunez does!
decent performance, excellent from Endo (Matthaus tribute act) & Morton, but i worry that we progressed. sounds daft but these 2 or 3 extra games could cost us. I hope we see even fewer seniors in the semis, regardless of the draw.
🤔No. I don’t think so unfortunately. Slot doesn’t like the guy he’s had plenty of chances to bring him on as a sub and didn’t . The recent Newcastle game is proof of that as Slot’s beloved squad couldn’t even keep a lead for seven minutes.
Hi David, I thought Liverpool played very well, with all the changes young players. Southampton is not a easy place to go to and it gives the youngsters a new experience so we rock on again.thanks again David for your videos
Thanks David.Phew! I was glad when it was over.Didn't want penalties! I trust Kelleher, but not sure if i could trust the takers ,from among we had on the pitch.Still, job done just the same.👏👏👏I get why Slot rested some for the title race,,& great opportunity to give young Academy guns some time.YNWA ❤🔴
thanks David, great summary. I think the number of games is perfect. Being thro' in the CL, means the Cup teams can use the remaining CL matches for prep.... I am feeling like this is a great result and only drives the youngsters to get into the starting line up... bring on Rio!!!
Trey what a Prospect this boy see,s passes before he has the ball.such a Huge football brain.,will be a first team player at a very young age just a slip of a boy not seen such a talented Teenager for a longlonglong Time!!wow
I know! Endo has only ever gave everything to the team. He might receive the ball so ‘elegantly’ like Gravenberch or some of the others but he’s got skills, heart, and grit. He got a lot of abuse that was not carded by the idiot ref.
A lot to like about the performance with a weakened team! Do wish Lucho had a few more minutes, need him to rediscover his early season form! Thought Endo, Morton, Kelleher and Elliott were paritcularly impressive!
I don’t want to hear,”what a trooper” or he “does a job” he’s a terrific player and has never let us down. Unless he wants to leave, I would keep him for sure.
Does anyone else think that Slot purposely got his third yellow card in the Fulham game knowing that he would only miss a cup game and his yellow card tally would reset? Maybe…?
If no one is carrying knocks from Southampton then Liverpool can start Sunday with everyone available, bar Konate & Bradley (due back Boxing Day). That's the strongest the squad has been since Slot arrived. Spurs have 8 players ruled out and aren't a tough tackling side. There is a chance that Slot can end 2024 higher up the table with a bigger gap to 2nd and have everyone + January transfer signings, at his disposal. So, it is all looking good....apart from the lack of three specific signatures.
Man of the match, Trey Nyoni. Despite scoring the opening goal, I think Nunez has played himself out of the squad. He had a few chances during the match to seal the result by making a simple pass to one of his attacking teammates, and he made the wrong decision or a poor attempt every time. Gakpo needs to learn to make those passes to his left back who's making a forward run. Many, many times throughout the season we see Gakpo receive a pass on the left wing, then Robertson or whoever the left back is runs past him, towards the opposition penalty box, but Gakpo invariably uses that run as a decoy so he can cut to the inside before making a predictable cross, or another backpass to start all over again. He did it many times in this game again. However, pretty much all the Liverpool players were guilty of not making forward passes when they had simple opportunities. I think that's a confidence problem which can be solved with simple drill on the practice ground.
Endo a big short sharp samurai in a big brain man's hand, brave and skillfull Kamikaze performance, and Nunez what a good fellow he is,his love for the club in so huge he always shown us by his smiles, what makes me feels happy about him.is that he is happy for being with us, but looks like he thought somebody may be better than him, but, for me there's none who can replace him by this time, goals are important but sometimes assists are beautiful than the goal or equal and even more, the best.Nunez is just enough for us.❤.Tonight we see the goal involvement again by moving the inside net with Nunez goally ball.❤Love this honest man.He will be stronger maybe oneday the strongest, young enough to learn more and young enough to be able to be teach and young enough to respect the elders ,teamates and the boss too.He looks like Messi showing his shirt to the opponents to remember him.

I'm a massive Endo fan, hes a brilliant squad player and in the prem you need some blood and thunder. Endo wins the midfield battle with endeavour and aggression which we don't have in huge amounts. He suffers in the same way as hendo where some fans won't accept a slightly ugly player regardless how effective he is. The other end of the scale is Trey, holy god he is technically good. Injuries and character dependent but he could be Liverpool's number 10 in a year or 2.
Quality & comprehensive coverage as always Lynchy! All’s left now is for you to pick up the guitar (over your shoulder) and strum us a sweet reds lullaby. 🎶 🎵 🎤
I didn’t see the game as you saw it. After 2-1, it felt like it was just a matter of time before they got a second, which was all they needed. Also, the youngsters fell off earlier, in particular Nyoni was done after 60mins. Yes he was on the pitch for 86 mins but didn’t contribute after 60mins. It felt like we were carrying a few players in that second half. Anyway, we managed to hold out till the end so that is a positive.
Apologies David, you were spot on with the type of starting line up. I though he wouldn't change as much. This shows yet another side to Arne's philosophy. Argee with his tactics, really interesting seeing the system change again. I thought we were sloppy as the second half goes on and gave Southampton some hope. Jarell was fortunate at the end. Happy their was no VAR. What did you think of Frederico's performance? Up the mighty Reds.
Good win to get to semi final. 2 draws in the league is really disappointing considering the lead that we had. If we drop points to spurs it's starting to look really shaky. We need to be ruthless and keep winning so we don't open the door.
He showed some really nice touches and was confident in his dribbling. Had 2 very good shots blocked in front of goal. The downside was you could see he was scared of getting injured again so he ducked out of a few challenges and didn't show alot of fight on 50/50s.
Slot will not change his mind about Endo. He doesn’t fancy him in any position or role. It’s a pity. If we 2 nil up then he can use Endo to give our MF players a rest. Some managers don’t change their mindset.
@@Wilm-u1q 🤔No. Endo doesn’t offer enough when it comes to what Slot wants offensively from his DMs he definitely offers more than enough when it comes to a DMs defensive abilities if anything he trumps his beloved Gravenberch when it comes to a true DMs defensive skills.
why we had so many youngsters are bc so many players r injured, or desperate for some TLC from their partners..! 😊😊 Seriously though, i agree with you about Wataru. The onky thing i dont like about Arne is, hes not like Klopp. Hes not real keen on our academy players. He tried that with Quansah and that didn't work out for neither of them, or Liverpool for that matter..! But i really like to see Endo given some more playing time. We haven't seen much of him since Arnes arrival, and i bet Endo isnt real keen on him either, ha ha! Now and then depending on our opposition, we should allow Gravenberch to rest and bring on Endo. Hes more than capable..! Hes a Japanese captain for crying out loud. Have we forgotten how well they played in last WC? We dont need another midfielder! Dont bother with Zubi. He knocked us back! Really...??? So forget him and lets strengthen our left back and bring in a proper Centre forward, then get rid of Nunez as quick as possible, then release Quansah out on loan. Imagine our team with a proper Centre forward and a younger left full back..? WOW! WE'LL BE THE NEW MANCHESTER CITY for many many years..!
Trent was overrated by media hence he is asking for a ridiculous amount of money. He is so useless at RB and to ask for that kind of money……….. he is smoking something.

Either way it was great to see the lad back, and trust me when I say, we'll be seeing a LOT more of him!
Very happy with the win and performance!
The youngsters showed great character in some tough conditions tonight.
Always enjoy listening to you David 👍
Thanks Jane!
keep up the great work david great insight thanks
Endo is gonna win us the league with 3 critical game winning goals!!!!
I can feel it!!!!!
🤔No. I don’t think so unfortunately. Slot doesn’t like the guy he’s had plenty of chances to bring him on as a sub and didn’t . The recent Newcastle game is proof of that as Slot’s beloved squad couldn’t even keep a lead for seven minutes.
This is Timothy Liverpool fan here in Texas USA I love your

YNWA from California. He's a true journalist. 🤙
Thanks so much Timothy. Really appreciate everyone who watches and engages!
I thought we saw some great glimpses of Chiesa, which is a positive 👍
Dans is quite a clinical finisher if he ever gets a few run of games u know ... A literal understudy to Diogoals ... Facts 💯 ..
Trey what a Prospect this boy see,s passes before he has the ball.such a Huge football brain.,will be a first team player at a very young age just a slip of a boy not seen such a talented Teenager for a longlonglong Time!!wow
Best LFC analysis. Cheers David.
Really kind thank you.
Let's hope Arne now has a rethink of his opinion on Endo! He was wrong to value him so little.
I know! Endo has only ever gave everything to the team. He might receive the ball so ‘elegantly’ like Gravenberch or some of the others but he’s got skills, heart, and grit. He got a lot of abuse that was not carded by the idiot ref.
I wouldnt put him above macca and grav as a starter
as perfect as slot is its got to be said he got endo wrong.
@@palocortado9 who would you take out then and why
@@dendriovos i wouldnt take anyone out i would just utilise a world class captain to give others a rest later on in games.
Get in David!! I can’t lie I’m in shambles. I want to win the league so bad
lets hope slotty feels more assured about our wataru. total warrior
Thank you for the match report. Look forward to your balanced take on the match and players' performances.
Nice one mate!
Endo was 100% man of the match for me.
Maybe…?
Plus Arne had seen the midweek weather forecast. 😉
Lol
endo was fantastic
Good for the youngsters and squad players to get some game time.
Thanks David. I love your analysis. Very interesting.
Thank you!
ENDO the Japanese Warrior! Brilliant!
Come on Arne it’s time to give him an opportunity!
Put Endo in at CB and move Gomez up to DM to rest RG for maybe the last 15 minutes of a game.
I think the ref should have stopped the play there for that head injury. Especially given that it's the opponent that kicked the ball in his face!!!
I've seen games paused for way less contact than that!!!!
Refs have paused games for fake head injuries, yet this 1 was a flush in the face hit!!!! Or the face isn't considered the head for this ref!!!!???
I'm a massive Endo fan, hes a brilliant squad player and in the prem you need some blood and thunder. Endo wins the midfield battle with endeavour and aggression which we don't have in huge amounts. He suffers in the same way as hendo where some fans won't accept a slightly ugly player regardless how effective he is. The other end of the scale is Trey, holy god he is technically good. Injuries and character dependent but he could be Liverpool's number 10 in a year or 2.
Really liked the look of Nyoni!
Quality & comprehensive coverage as always Lynchy! All’s left now is for you to pick up the guitar (over your shoulder) and strum us a sweet reds lullaby. 🎶 🎵 🎤
Only if Liverpool win one of the big two 😂
@@davidlynchlfc hahahaha >>> DEAL!!
Endo San. Best player by far on the pitch for LFC
That jumper is mustard lid
Yes la!
Hard game on awful conditions with a 2nd string side. Cant ask for much more
Endo i thought done very well
Apologies David, you were spot on with the type of starting line up.
Don’t apologies! I only got 7/11 right and was surprised to see Gomez/Trent get even 45 minutes. A good win with so many changes in the end!
I think this guy is excellent...really speaking scence.
Thanks Brian!
A great win up the red's
Good win to get to semi final.
2 draws in the league is really disappointing considering the lead that we had.
If we drop points to spurs it's starting to look really shaky. We need to be ruthless and keep winning so we don't open the door.
Endo was an absolute warrior last night!
Banzai!!!!!endo!
Eager to listen more about the game analysis. Specially the new players individual performance. Please elaborate about Chiesa's Today's performance.
He showed some really nice touches and was confident in his dribbling. Had 2 very good shots blocked in front of goal.
The downside was you could see he was scared of getting injured again so he ducked out of a few challenges and didn't show alot of fight on 50/50s.
Wondering who do you think will go out on loan in spring. Who might be call back for reinforcements for the stretch run
Thanks for the content
Slot will not change his mind about Endo. He doesn’t fancy him in any position or role. It’s a pity. If we 2 nil up then he can use Endo to give our MF players a rest. Some managers don’t change their mindset.
He doesn't offer enough of what Slot wants in midfield but Slot knows he is quality and a top professional which means he will be ready for anything
👏🏼Facts.
Darwin, kelleher and Harvey was the difference it's all we needed against a poor Southampton team.
why we had so many youngsters are bc so many players r injured, or desperate for some TLC from their partners..! 😊😊
Seriously though, i agree with you about Wataru.
He needs to play more to preserve Grav
it doesn't matter if endo stars, we all know he will never get the chance to play other than in this cup
Tyler Morton was very good imo too
Job done 👍
Any news on konate and bradley ?
They are still not training with the team as of yet.
We gave the ball away too much 2nd half was poor ynwa
I've seen smoke make harder tackles than Chiesa!
06:51 An advantage to Brexshit at last ! :D
We are Liverpool. Receive the ball and pass to a Red YnWa
We can say goodbye to Trent ..
He seems a little different thesis season.
He's been different since last year. He's not focused on Liverpool.
Your videos dont pop up in my recommended anymore not sure why
Yes,yes
Can anyone work out who was at right back when Gomez went off?
Morton.
Nuneeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez< YNWA!!!!!!
Good that Liverpool won, but we have to consider that Southampton was a very poor team.
Ok? We had like 4 first choice players in the starting xi. Southampton do suck but this is probably the weakest side we will put out this season.
Trent was overrated by media hence he is asking for a ridiculous amount of money. He is so useless at RB and to ask for that kind of money……….. he is smoking something.
endo spent the second half on the floor
Endo will come good...hope hes long term
Chiesa give him time on the bal .its difficultl in a new club🤷♂️
Endo is a 31 year old who spot hardly plays. He will be gone in the summer
@@theherogothamneeds1014 🙄More like in January. He deserves better.
