But I was referring to those who are of my age(18-21) and who don't have an income yet to have or build a project car or buy any car for that matter
There are a whole bunch of enthusiasts. But as they said in the video, India as a whole is about a decade late to the game. And with all the stupid f-in laws restricting mods, we are not gonna go too far. Also, 90% of the enthusiasm is limited show car type builds. I've come across a ton of folks whose "builds" boast a cold air intake, snazzy wheels, a repaint/wrap and the worst- the pops n bang tunes. This ain't particularly due to a lack of fat wallet either. I've seen folks dump easily in excess of 3-4 lacs on old school City V Tecs and Accords but almost nothing is done under the hood apart from the aforementioned K&N intake and a free flow exhaust. But I'm happy to see that the community is slowly shifting to performance builds and not just show cars. I guess we'll be there in another 2-3 years. Hopefully the EV epidemic doesn't spread too soon here. 🤞
