Thanks for a great video. 🙂I was about to purchase the same glasses with the same transition lenses you have, transparent to grey, but those lenses are not in stock here in Italy where I live, so I was trying to see if I could buy them somewhere else in Europe, but it's been such a hassle. Now I think I might just get the transparent ones, and then order some dark lenses too, if it's apparently easy to change them once you get a hang of it as you video shows. Based on your description, the grey transition lenses don't seem to be enough to use as sunglasses. I did hear though from a sales assistant that the warranty will be cancelled if you change the lenses with some that aren't from Ray-Ban or not done by an authorised reseller... Don't know.
Thanks! I'm glad it was helpful. I'm in Berlin, so probably even less sunny than where you are (I'm summer at least!) and I was really disappointed with the transition lenses for sunglasses use. I expected them to get actually dark, but they just tint a little. Really unsatisfactory. I think swapping the lenses out does officially void the warranty, but how would they know if you pop the original ones back in? It is a risk legally though, that's true. I got my lenses from Lensology, who are in the UK, so not in the EU, but they arrived to me super fast and I don't think I had to pay extra customs charges or anything. I'd definitely recommend them, but I'm sure there are other good suppliers around now. This reply is quite late though (sorry!), did you order some in the end?
@@johnrussell7801 I got them from lensology.co.uk - I needed international shipping so just emailed adam@lensology.co.uk and he was amazingly helpful and sorted me out really quickly. Strong recommendation from me!
@@VicDeeveTV if you mean the cameras, videos, headphones, meta AI etc, then yes, all of that is done by the frames and works perfectly well even with no lenses in. The lenses are literally just pieces of glass, no tech in them in these glasses.
