Hi Steve, just wanted to say I love your channel and do enjoy the singing as for me it‘s just part of your humor. You are single handedly responsibly for me getting into this stuff and repairing some old devices I still kept in our basement.
I wish I would've found you sooner. I bought some of my favourite vapes, wismec presa's. Used one for 5yrs had two in the drawer, mint never opened. All of a sudden the first broke, I used the second for just two months and it stopped working. Same thing, press on the display to fire apparently has a flaw in the board. Found out you could've gotten the board or an exchange way back when... Well I had them laying for 5yrs and the third died after a year. I've tossed them now, and now use some smok squeeze fire but they're square, not as comfy and way less power capacity. I think if I found you before I would've had more confidence in trying to fix them. You are so inspirational and calm and it's so very encouraging. We live in the age of obsolescence and I truly applaud you for trying to show that it doesn't have to be true. Thank you 🙏❤️ Xx
Haven't watched this video yet but I've liked everything you did so far. You're the first repair guy I've subscribed to, you inspired me to get a soldering iron and start with electric stuff. I don't care what you fix, I'll watch everything :) Greetings from Germany

I'm not into vaping (stopped smoking back in 2005 completely) but i also don't blame you for using them. It's not about vaping, it's all about fixing here. 🙂
Throw your vapes out brother, I’ve seen people with vaping induced lung sepsis and pleural effusions, I only care about your health, so you can live forever and continue to make electronic surgery vids for us all. And your singing is gold bro, do what you want in your vid’s at the end of the day.
Steve as you grow you’ll see more troll comments or people stating they don’t you doing this or that. You must, must, must ignore it all because you’ve got something here. Your whole format and your own decisions so far on production is what’s blowing up the channel. Be proud and keep being you mate. Love your videos, watch them all and love how you make me laugh with the silly bits. Best of luck.
Any time something won't charge via a small usb port, I have a look to make sure it's nothing badly mangled then clean out the port with a needle. Not worried about the contacts, but the tiniest bit of pocket fuzz can build up in the corners of the socket and prevent the charging cable from plugging in all the way. Almost every time I've had a device that needed the USB cable to be oriented in just the right direction, that works.
Phew, the moment I heard that the song was out my heart jumped, I feared for the always lovely outro tunes! Realistically, as more patreons support the channel, it will become harder to recognize them in song during the video, but surely that's a pleasing problem for our kind host. Another really good video and it got me thinking, how much stuff we throw away or consign to some drawer because they are "broken", when they can be fixed. My only complain, that gunk from the first device should have been saved and sent to some lab for analysis, perhaps we would have discovered alien life, at long last! :P
I thought the singing was a great touch! Tell 'em to bugger off. Personally, I like your more recent videos the best because they incorporate the most amount of nonsense while showing the repairs and stuff really well too. I've only recently discovered your channel, but have went pretty far back to watch old videos. The newer ones are better though. Your filming, what you are able to show, and your unique personality and style really make them incredibly entertaining as well as informative. You to you boo!

Nice and straight forward repairs, Steve! Love watching your videos. But one thing you should change: when working with leaded solder, PLEASE use some sort of ventilation. I'm a chemist by profession and you really don't want that stuff damaging your nervous system in the long term.
Genuine question, why in particular with leaded solder? Doesn’t lead vapourise at a higher temperature than soldering irons reach? I thought the ventilation was for vapourised flux, which is in leaded and unleaded solder.
