Skinny, white boy, still wet behind the ears, sings like a 50yr old black man that's worked in the mines since he was 13 and sings blues in the local bar while smoking a pack of cigarettes. DAMN! Got talent
Henning May is absolutely amazing. His voice sounds like revving up the engine of a Mustang 🤯 I actually raised my daughter on his music. Well, this and System of a Down. Just to make sure 😂
Bruh these guys are in a league of their own, these people are performing musical perfection and they deserve more credit, everything they do is with intent, even the contrast between voices was perfect. These people are simply perfect at making music
I read it's two bands that collaborated, hence the multi musicians in different rooms. I'm glad you appreciate their musical talent. I'm older and I hope these young men are successful
I'm obsessed with this version of this song. And hats off to you sir, the most thoughtful, insightful and knowledgeable review of Henning May's vocals I've seen 👏
It's two band's coming together here the first room was Annenmaykantereit where the guy with the deep voice is the lead singer of and the second room was Giant Rooks. Both bands are really popular in germany. Giant Rooks sing in english and Annenmaykantereit in german but they give some great english ones too.
Ah it's really cool to know how the musicians fit into the bands. This is the first video I came across them with so I knew which bands the lead singers fitted into but the two rooms is really cool!
Absolutely mind blowing my first time hearing Henning May’s voice 🤯 I recommend his cover of Come Together by The Beatles and Roxane by Sting. Both are incredible
That may honestly be the best reaction I've seen so far to Henning May's voice. And seriously, that is the exact face everyone makes when the horn kicks in. I could listen to this all day
I absolutely love that guy's growling! I never heard a voice like that before. It sounds like if Bruce Springsteen and Jim Morrison had a voice love child.
Awesome to see so many people reacting to their music, I followed them for a few years and Henning's voice just gets better and better the more you listen to it
Of all the reactors I've watched reviewing this song you're the only one at 5:50 noticed and mentioned Hennings vocal control. You've got a new subscriber.
I've lost count of how many reactions to this video I've seen so far, and while all of them are truly enjoyable, yours is the only one which made me laugh out loud. Precious.
Both Bands are amazing. Hope too See more from a Concept Like this. Two different Bands with different leaders, that work together. And for the finish all together
I JUST heard this for the first time and went to check out the singer, and your video popped up in search and I had to see what you had to say. I wasn't ready for that guy's voice either. Both are very talented, but the second guy's voice is just crazy.
Loved the cover Henning May does of "Roxanne" as well, amazing spin these guys put on the songs they do. Great reaction video, by the way---you now have a new subscriber!
3:00 most people don't naturally just sound like that when singing yeah, its a style and it takes a lot of work on subtle distortion and grit, but specifically for us lower baritones and basses that is actually one of the most natural feeling ways to sing up in the higher register. That sort of vocal style almost tricks the ears, it doesn't exactly sound like he is singing all that high but he is belting with some force there. I grew up with a lot of rock and metal so singing like that is one of the most natural things for me personally as a bass, it really does make you sound older and more soulful.
Dude I've been sweating them most of the morning. From Germany, white, young, soulfulness and can definitely jam. How many more does Germany has with this much talent. Should've made a single of this 🇺🇲
henning may's (raspy voice guy :P) cover of the needle and the damage done is a good showcase of him singing softer, since you mentioned being curious about hearing the rasp in that sort of tone! :D
Giant Rooks are super good. I saw them live as a pre-band for Mighty Oaks when they released their first EP. I still have a signed version in my shelve.
I used to hear a song with Henning a lot, but had never seen him. When I did, I had to do a double take! That scrawny dude? It was in the music video where he collaborated with a german rap group. The song celebrates the end of the world and is called "hurra, die welt geht unter" (K.I.Z. featuring Henning May), "Hurray the world is ending" in english. I hear the translations of the video aren't very good, so if you wanted to watch it, you would need additional translations from a different source. I really enjoyed your joy while watching!
Wow!!!! Henning May is singing like he spent the last half century of his life sweeping dirty bar floors while inhaling second hand cigar smoke!!!! 😲🙂😲🙂
on my second day of replaying over and over this song cover, just funky soul rhythm blue chest grabbing clench my fist and contorting wonderful sound. I may have caused whiplash on my self GROOVY MAN!!!
Both of these groups are incredible! AMK does most of their work in German; Lass iss kreisen is one of my favorites. But Giant Rooks' cover of Life on Mars will take your breath away!
Man's voice sounds like he's been working the past 40 years down the train line in Mississippi.
Mans voice sounds like he's spent the last 40 years sweeping bar floors.
@@inducteddragoon damnit i was gonna comment that…
This man sounds like he been working in a coal mine for 40 years only living from coffee and Marlboro 😮
Smoking 3 packs a day.

Man unleashed his inner 1930s New Orleans blues vocals.
This! Yessssssssssss ❤
How the voices compliment each other is amazing that's the magic
Henning May is absolutely amazing. His voice sounds like revving up the engine of a Mustang 🤯 I actually raised my daughter on his music. Well, this and System of a Down. Just to make sure 😂
Awesome!
🔥🤦🏾♂️😂😂
Good combination! Greetings 🙂
Best collaboration between 2 bands!!! Both lead singers are amazing!!
Yes! The contrast in those two amazing voices is perfection...
Annenmaykanntereit is a german band with their name building out of the guys last names. His voice is really unique!
Bruh these guys are in a league of their own, these people are performing musical perfection and they deserve more credit, everything they do is with intent, even the contrast between voices was perfect. These people are simply perfect at making music

"Excuse me?". Might be the funniest reaction line I've heard for this song.
yea Henning May has an absolutely incredible voice, he is quite well known in Germany

Thank you for that...
Both of the men's voices are amazing. They compliment each other very well.
You couldn't stop smiling through the whole thing. I couldn't either, my guy. Great reaction video.
😂 I noticed that too x
I just found them . And been hooked. They robbed us of a album and concerts, picnic, house party 😆😅😂😃
ive had that song stuck in my head for 20 years seriously...
I just found out about it. Been hooked since then. Should've at least made a album
Absolutely mind blowing my first time hearing Henning May’s voice 🤯 I recommend his cover of Come Together by The Beatles and Roxane by Sting. Both are incredible

Been on an AnnenMayKantereit concert in 2019 his voice is just lovely his normal talking voice is also very deep. (The girls sure like him ;) )

“Bro sounds like a 4x4 truck” that was funny and perfect! Dudes hauling around serious Power and Gravel!!!
True and a great metaphor
That man’s voice was made for the Blues!
Yeah! That second dude has that Springstein sound.
Absolutely love henning mays voice so unique and really made this cover one of a kind everytime I listen to it just as blown away as the first time 😍😍
He got that southern soul in him, wow
Every time I hear his voice, I get chills. He does have a Tom Waites to his style. Well done!

The 2 bands n the 2 singers straight up give me Chicago Transit Authority/ Chicago vibes❤💝🎵🎼🎶
Both singers are good infact this whole band rocks!
Their voices are so unique together ❤
The perfect moment for me, is when Henning starts to sing, and we see the wee smile on Freddy's face. Love them.
Nobody seems to notice that the camera seamlessly goes out of one window and into another on the other side of the house while the guys change rooms
Your amazing like AnneMayKantereit thanks for Ur reaction to this
Direct to the heart ❤️

@@rambler6519 why is this so accurate 🤣
it’s actually Tom’s restaurant on 112 st and broadway New York where Seinfeld was based on. Passed it so many times but I didn’t know that.

I am super appreciative of talented vocalists but only a couple are people I am jealous of. Luthor Vandross, Chris Cornell and this guy. Unreal.
Giant Rooks are super good. I saw them live as a pre-band for Mighty Oaks when they released their first EP. I still have a signed version in my shelve.
2rooms , 2 Bands , 2 voices from Germany 😊😊
The 4x4 truck comment was fantastic
Excuse me... Where did the black soul singers voice come from... His voice is amazing
He sounds like a 4x4 truck...has to be one of the most visual quotes I've ever heard!

He can do a different tone, but most of his bands songs are in German. I love it though, instant fan of that guys voice!
New room AND different band!
Who would have thought that "Foster the People" meets "Michael Bolton" would sound so smooth!
Please don't dismiss the first guy singing. His voice is AMAZING
I didn’t. I made a remark before I got blasted by the second guy haha.
Henning May spent the last 40 years sweeping the floor of a dark bar in New Orleans.
And I'm back here again. Dave, you are a GEM. That's all I'll say.
Thank you!
You should listen to some of their German songs, even if you don’t understand the lyrics.
I love the reactions of people hearing this. Everyone is happy.
