Yes, it is very amazing. We can learn a lot by looking closely at older jewelry pieces. I went to a local library some years ago and sat down and read some of their Antique Jewelry reference books. Their techniques were amazing, when they didn’t have motorized tools, very hot torches, etc. I think this is a great topic you did today along with all of your other handmade videos and techniques. 💖
Thanks for sharing. I get inspired by older jewelry too. Especially, I like tribal ornamentation. That piece is interesting with the heavier gold pieces yet the delicacy of the beading. Very cool.
This is Indian Jadau jewellery..it is one of the oldest handcrafted art in india..they inlay the gemstones by fixing cask over inamel and fill the sides with gold foil and than keep on pressing the sides till it completely melt into as a filler in the cavity..
Thank you for sharing Tanya 😊. I watch videos from a UA-cam channel Aishu diy , she previously shared some components that she brought back from India. Very beautiful and interesting pieces, very colorful. Lots of inspiration. Love the designs and ideas you share with us.

I make bead woven jewelry, and you are totally correct. One of the 'threads' I use is actually fishing line!
i was totally shocked :)))) and REALLY admire design
Using fishing line in different weights is common in bead weaving. I have used it a lot.
That is a lovely piece! Thread is used too.
im using fishingline also :)
Thank You Tanya!! Yes!! Very Inspirational piece of vintage jewelry!! Have a nice ( warm) weekend! Quite chilly here in S.W. Iowa!! Brr!🌻🙋♀️
You could recreate that. I would love to see your version. That is a beautiful piece.
This is usually the jewelry wore by Pakistani and Indian people in parties or specially in wedding.
That’s pretty unique & amazing 😊❤
Gorgeous ❤
That's a beautiful piece, very ornate! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks for sharing such a lovely piece of jewelry. I have begun to make beaded embroidery and I use a nylon filament for thread.
It’s a very complicated piece. I would bet the designer started with a vision for the base but winged it for the small bead embellishments.
