Wow, always got to be mindful of surrounding when leaving and fighting the harbor waves. Nice job and good video

I think you'll find that this was filmed in the original Aberdeen in Scotland, which certainly does have a harbour! And boats of this size regularly leave said harbour, servicing the North Sea oil industry.

That reminds me of the Columbia river bar in Oregon. Four miles of 30 foot swells. I have done it three times, in a 50 foot boat. The third time was in a storm. The waves where breaking completely over the boat. I really thought, I was going to die out there. I haven't gone out since !

Great little video, perhaps you could capture some more now that winter is approaching.
I'd like to see some film of the NorthLink ferries leaving or entering in a heavy swell or storm.

Cargo ships in the 1960s till now, oil rigs, fishing vessels, etc. Of course full credit will be given to the owner of the footage. Looking forward to your reply. Kind regards. Cheers.

    (a) I've seen it
    (b) It's over 9 years old
    (c) I worked in the North Sea, I know what the weather there is like
    (d) I've been to Aberdeen harbour, I've seen the conditions at the harbour mouth for myself.
    Thank you.

Though they are now all automated and have no permanent lighthouse keepers the lighthouses of Aberdeen and Aberdeenshire are accessible to look around from the exterior. This includes the Boddam Lighthouse whose photo is above which has a lovely walk all the way around and is used as holiday accommodation.
