They are same game but HoK when it first released they only focus on China server only. Then after 1 year they create AoV which is same as HoK for Global Server but the hero is most likely from western character since HoK hero is all from china mythology.

Yes. AOV is the international version of HOK. Its just weird that HOK will be available global soon and some of their champs are came from AOV version too.
