Mental Health Update Sept. 2024 - Fighting For Air In A Stifling Situation

- I can not survive another summer living where I am. I must find another place to live by May 1, 2025, and have notified my agency in writing that I will be getting lawyers involved.
As a tenant and a HUMAN BEING, I have a right to fresh air.
Isn't it possible to ask the Slumlord to exchange apartments??
Nope, all the 1 bedroom units face the alley
It's too bad you can't find a house in or on the edge of, the Pine Barrens, or some other nature preserve or something out east. I myself had tried to find some kind of small rental
house or cottage a few years ago, on an estate, etc., or some north shore area or estate, well, it almost cannot be done anymore. It's also not necessarily terribly safe, or secure.
I saw that even a small modest home in the Hamptons is like $750,000 or whatever. Renting might be available, I dunno. But again, the transportation out there is almost
nonexistent.
Well that's how THE PLAN works. Oh I'll be living near the Pine Barrens, in NEW JERSEY but not on Long Island. Also consider a lot of the areas that are around the Pine Barrens on LI are in decline because they're in the middle of the Island. Riverhead especially but also Middle Island, parts of Ridge. Whatever is still good & safe is being invaded by the PREPPY PEOPLE that only want to be with their own kind.
If you insist on staying in an agency handling mental health housing you could look at Concern for Independent Living. They having condo type housing in Middle Island.
Unsure if they have any vacancies, but it's in the heart of the pine barrens just down the road from prosser and cathedral pines.
Middle Island isn't the best of areas. That stretch of 25 from Coram to the vacant Kmart property is so depressing and isolated. We should be allowed to live in thriving towns!
@@PinePowerLI it's hardly depressed or isolated, in fact it's situated along one of SCTs bus routes. Don't know which number as I don't utilize LI's buses, my friend who lives out there does.
Economically speaking it's no worse than any of the communities on Long Island, South Shore, Middle, and North Shore.
Every community has blight and neglect, you just have to get off Main Street to see it. The two blocks you highlight in Rockville Centre are thriving, get off of those and you get the same activity levels you'll see in Mineola ( empty sidewalks and the like ).
Good Mental Health Update. I think the world is not in a good spot right now.
At my place, I notice the minute Labor Day hits, or afterwards, I start seeing people visiting or living at the two homes or so down from me, and the parking is limited here,
showing up out of nowhere, parking in front of our homes, and I have no idea who they are. Do they live here, are they transients? I dunno! Normally I don't care and it's legal
to park in front of my home, but someone keeps doing this the past two weeks out of nowhere. Why can't they park in front or in their own house or driveway which they do have?
Some of those homes it's like four families or more living there. This should really be ILLEGAL in Syosset and areas like this. Esp. on a street with very tight parking.
During the day I wouldn't even care, but some of these idiots drop trash and stuff bottles, etc., on the street in front of my home. Not cool. Do I do this shit at YOUR house?
No!
That's not good, sounds like illegals are moving in. Syosset is going down too. Slumlords buying up homes and stuffing in all the illegals that are being welcomed by Hochul & Adams. Any town that doesn't have enough of a certain demographic (you know, those preppy white finance professionals) is subject to this. Syosset is diverse so it's going to get the problems. Sorry you have to deal with this but again it's all part of THE PLAN to force us out. Every day more are coming across the border from NYC. Had some on the bus tonight with a bunch of bags getting off at Mineola at my bus stop nonetheless!
P.S. The thing is you're seeing mentally unbalanced folks all over LI now. I just saw a guy with some kind of issues, walking in the middle of Woodbury Rd., in Plainview,
the other day, around 2 p.m., and looking under people's cars, all kinds of insane OCD type behavior, almost threatening. He was there for at least 30 min. So, my point
though is that now you could get people like this all over the island.
Plainview is still middle of the Island though and is subject to the same issues that affect Hicksville, etc.
Would it be possible to find ANOTHER agency on Long Island? I keep on mentioning that.
Unfortunately my agency is taking over all the other ones.
I’m glad you made this video, I understand how you feel, apparently I’m going t be in my apartment by November 2024, but I understand you can’t get that
Talk about that Njtransit fare holiday I took the 319 to Atlantic City on Labor Day Monday I was jam packed both ways that bus is like a ghetto on wheels That's too bad you didn't come down to the NJ pines the week it was free but if you do come in the future I reccomend taking the 137 just pass up any 319 if possible
I always try and take the 137 whenever possible. I went to Toms River on Sunday and took the 137 both ways not crowded at all, passed on a late running 319 going back that was jammed and got a 137 instead.
I call them the CYBERSCHMUCKS.
Good luck in finding a new apartment John I hope your agency listens to you and gets you out of Mineola stay strong and keep fighting you got this!!!
